I would advise him to file a lawsuit, have a separate gofundme for court costs, and make them pay hard. Judges should not have protection in cases that have no substantial evidence, they should be locked up, this was not just a mistake, it was a racial assumption with no substantial evidence that took away most of the man's life. I wouldn't even know what to think in his shoes, i would probably move to a different country after that experience.

@abdullahrasheed1493 2 года назад
@@islamispeace3919 that's true but in America the system was geared against the Black in particular. In 1641 three indentured servants ran away.. Two ""White" and one "Black". When they were captured the judge sentenced the two 'Whites" to an extra year I'd servitude, but sentenced the "Black" to life. In 1656 a Slave woman named Elizabeth Key Grim stead won her freefom in court because although her mother was of African decent her father was European and under their law the child's status was based upon the status of the father and not the mother. The other thing in her favor was that she was baptized Into Christianity. After that ruling the legislators began working to change the laws and put new one in place over the next several years. One law was that claiming Christianity would no.longer be a passport to freedom. Another stated that if you were from a non Christian country and that if you were Molatto, Negro, Moor or Indian that you could be enslaved. And you were legally viewed as property and could be inherited just as if you were land or cattle or whatever kind of property left by the deceased. They also passed laws stating that the owner could not be held liable if he damaged or even killed his property. In 1857 the courts ruling on the Dred Scott cased made it clear that those of African origin were not, never were, and never could be a citizen of any state in the Union.( Keep in mind that was prior to the civil was in America). Later after the war discriminatory laws were put in place that were geared against Blacks in particular. Especially the Jim Crow laws in the South. Keep in mind that while Europeans came to the Americas on the May Flowers Enslaved Africans were brought over in chains in Slave ships. And because Slavery was legal, an entire group of people found themselves selves at odds with the law just by refusing to submit to an unjust system. In the Qur'an ALLAH swt says that oppression is worst than Slaughter. H.Q.2:191 also Muslims are told to fight oppression until it is no more. The two main reason to fight is against Aggression H.Q.2:190 and Oppression H.Q.2:191-193. And although the Religion of Al-Islam does not support racial discrimination. There are still ignorant people who call themselves Muslim s yet they still practice discrimination based on race and color and class etc... Prophet Muhammad pbuh had to deal with it during his life time and so do we today. As Salaamu Alaikum!!

It's a damn shame the governor didn't have the decency to do the right thing and get him out as soon as it was brought to his attention instead he did another disgraceful punishment to him by holding him longer knowing he was innocent. To me the governor should be forced to resign for his actions Mr Strickland had everything taken from him by a system that failed him and then the governor punished him a second time after he knew he was innocent by holding him in prison longer and then with him not getting to see his mother before she passed away to say goodbye how much more did Mr. Strickland need to endure at the hands of this governor because the justice system failed him and so did this disgraceful governor .
