Thaks for great video, very handy and simple. Would you say that perfection loop is weaker for connecting leader, or is it just preference?

Nice video but some of these setup won't work for saltwater species, starting by cutting the welded loop. This is a great freshwater (trout) setup.

Why do they call it a granny knot? Called the "granny's knot" with references going back to at least 1849, the knot was so-called because it is "the natural knot tied by women or landsmen".

Learn a Figure 8 - and be done with all those knots..its stronger in stress tests. Stop complicating fly fishing if below 0.20/5 lbs do a double 8...Enough with this elitist gatekeeping.
