Within seconds of the opening chords of “Holding On” and the tears just started streaming down my face - not because I’m sad - but because these guys make the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard my entire life.

I’m from El Salvador and grew up listening to my dads' classic rock collection lps. From Beatles to Queen, LED Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, and David Bowie to name a few. This band truly blows my mind. I was lucky enough to see them perform live in Pomona a few months ago. Amazing experience, can’t wait to see them live again.

I am ALWAYS excited to see these guys play! Loved them in NYC at Radio City Music Hall and also Central Park; acoustics not the best at Terminal 5 but I've seen (heard) other musicians there that also weren't done justice there. My favourite was at Radio City Music Hall, best sound, best TWoD concert I've seen yet. Hopefully, we can all get together again after this COVID cabin fever restructuring and revival of the world! I can't wait to see all you guys play again. I miss you all!

Adam is modern day Bob Dylan, luckily we have one of his era doing the great great dylan's style stuff, i like the solo background of every line Adam sing, just simply superb, Adam guitar chords is one of the most melodic combination of G, C, D, Em, Bm just as what he did " I don't live here anymore".

They may not have the huge numbers, but I prefer that they're kind of a hidden gem. I always thought this band has one of the best fanbases, and I think it's a reflection of the band's own mentality and grounded attitude, and if they got too famous, it would probably change. No matter where you're from, I think they always have that "local act" vibe, the spirited attitude that makes you want to cheer for them and make you smile when they do well. I'll always love this band, because their music is something that speaks to my soul, and no matter how I'm feeling, their tunes always cheer me up. That's what music is about ultimately, isn't it? Not about record sales, or fame, it's about creating a ripple effect that spreads across people, affecting their lifes and gives them a positive outlook. That's what I love about music in general, because it's an universal language, that not everyone can speak, but everyone can understand.

@@lindajanssen1994 Thank you for replying to my comment. I am assuming you found it to be sad, because it implies loneliness and/or perhaps too much humility. Did you not? I actually do not need to know why you found it to be sad, but I am interested in you noticing me as a vulnerable person. A person with flaws. I guess a person like any other, but open - or honest as you called it - about his or her desire to connect (and implying not being able to do so). How does that feel to see someone that way? That vulnerable? I am assuming it felt bad in a way, because I am pretty sure you're emphatic enough. You know, it is okay, feeling bad for someone. If it helps, it happens to me too sometimes.
@lindajanssen1994
@lindajanssen1994 3 года назад
@@Haassan1 I meant that it is honest to put a comment like that on this video. Different from the others. About the person itself, not about the song. Why I think it is sad, is that you compare yourself with a singer, that, in you’ve made (in your head) a likeable person. But I understand now, it is not about him you want to be. It is that you want to be a likeable person as well. Believe me, you probably are! I think it is sad to compare yourself to others, especially when you don’t know that person :) we make others always better and way more cool then they probably are. That’s it. I wasn’t trying to burn you.

At the beginning of Holding On, Adam plays the Em note for a little bit more time because he's changing the effect sound and then he comes back to the normal progression. But it sounds so great! I wish that they play the intro that way live D-Em D-Em-Bm

The quality of our dreams are both a reflection of our thoughts and actions as well as a foreshadowing of the fate of our souls in the next life...A nightly, temporary karma that beckons us to change - for the good - so as to avoid a more permanent karma. Complexity(🌎)+Beauty(🌷) =Intent(❤️) The Figure 8 Analogy: An analogy on life, death, the dreamstate and the symbolism intertwined within the human experience. We human beings are not moving in the - abstract - motion of a straight line towards death (for instance, the numerical straight line of say 1-89), rather we are moving in the motion of a figure 8. The Figure 8 is a natural repeating pattern that is divided into two halves and is thus the perfect symbol to represent the human life cycle and our two primary states of existence that we are continuously moving in and out of -the awake state and the dream state. When we awake from sleep, we come full circle to when we fall back asleep (represented by the bottom half of the figure 8), and when we go into the dream state, we come full circle to when we awake from the dream state (represented by the top half of the figure 8). Upon death, the figure 8 of life untwines, but it is not the body untwining from the mind that this analogy represents; It's two states of mind untwining to form a larger state of mind...(8->0)...Because the awake state is really a state -of mind, with our body's physical reality "consciously" intertwined, and the dream state is also a state -of mind, with our body's physical reality "subconsciously" intertwined. Therefore; upon death, these two states "of mind" untwine to form a larger state of mind...A state that has all the potentialities of the dream world (flying, telepathy, psychokinesis, etc) combined with all the actualities of the awake world(nature, form, bonds, etc). This I refer to as the "transitional analogy." While conceiving this analogy I realized life and death must be perceived - from one point of view - as seperate entities(the transitional analogy), but must also be perceived - from another point of view - as inseperable entities(the symbolic analogy) -both of which are ultimately linked by the dream state. The symbolic analogy consists of the untwined figure 8 of life/the 'circle of death' abstractly overlapping the 'circle of life'/the earth -with the overlappment representing the dream state (like the common area in a venn diagram), which implies that the dream state is just as much a part of life as is of death (by which semi-explains precognitive dreams, prodromal dreams, "visitations" by deceased relatives, etc; for the dream state has a foothold in the afterlife) and is based on the premise that "while our body sleeps, our dream state symbolically represents the state that awaits upon our body's ultimate rest. In other words, while we are lying down and -sleeping/dreaming, this natural process symbolizes where we go when we're ultimately lying down/dead -to a place "like" our dream state...A state "of mind", with our body's physical bonds eternally engrained and intertwined. 👁~8~👁
