Khabib is worthy of carrying a title because he respects everyone he fights against. He's not a thug and he is so humble considering he could beat any fighter on the roster.

Unfortunately, it went bad for Conor, but I still respect him, his skills top class. I love Irish people, they are humble and dynamic. The fact that Conor got the title shot is understandable from the perspective of the UFC and Eddie Alvarez. He obviously had the skill to get the shot. But for the sport it sucks if someone who didn't perform in the division at that level before gets the chance to fight for a title. Could you imagine the UEFA saying "who cares who qualified for the final? Real Madrid vs. Barcelona sells the most tickets so they will compete for the CL title." That would be ridiculous.

Mighty Mouse got that shot against Cruz when they were both dominating their divisions with no real competition. The UFC doesn't have a rule for that occasion so they just go with what they find the most profitable. Understandable. But lately top contenders like Khabib, Aldo, Ferguson, Jacare, Mousasi or Wonderboy have been ducked the fuck out of because champions and the UFC have been waiting for big names to sell the title-fights.
