@@jordanvalencia9597 Garrosh's full-villain arc was completed as a result of the fall of Theramore, Sylvanas during the burning of Teldrassil, so Xalatath definitely fits in with the model of "now a raid boss" because of Dalaran. Obviously Blizzard will try to redeem her as they've done with the others, and the final boss will be the one pulling the strings. But it's hilarious to see devs saying she's just "antagonizing" you (as you said) after she just 9/11'd theoretically the most important city on Azeroth.
@@peterfabell154 she's not really the main villain as the developers are saying, if you watch One Piece think of her as Donflamingo but the boss is Kaido. she's going to piss you off, she's going to set up for the one coming, by the time you do fight her, she'll give you the illusion of victory, this is the kind of person who i think will be different from Garrosh and Sylvanas, Garrosh didn't redeem himself, he said he regretted nothing before you set him free in Revendreft then burned up his anima to attack his punisher. now Kael'thas did redeem himself.
Blizzard is somehow worse than Activision and Ubisoft, because at least if you buy a game from them for 70$ you get to play it ”forever”, and microtransactions are ”optional”. But in WoW you have to first buy the game for 70$, then pay them 12.99$ a month to play the game you already paid 70$ for. It sounds ridiculous when you stop to think about it doesn’t it?
@@AlzillaRoxxx It is so the story can come full circle when she does go over the edge and gives in to the void and Sylvanas has to come in and stop her in the next expansion.
Everyone says Khadgar's dead, but that'd be the lamest death ever. Hardly a deathscream, even. We don't see him 'die', we see him vanish. Fairly sure he ain't dead. If he is, he got one of the lamest deaths in Warcraft history. Edit; 2 weeks later and my suspicion was confirmed, Dadgar is with us once more.
+ Arthas (36anima), Saurfang, Voljin, Garrosh, Jailer, Denathrius, Deathwing,Thrall (dead inside), Anduin (traumatized), Nathanos, Malfurion (banished), Magni (attempted suicide twice because he is a joke), Baine & Bolvar (smoking pipe on the bench since Shadowlands), Genn Greymane (reclaimed Gilneas and left to buy a pack of cigarettes)
When she grabbed everything he was sending her way, she got all the power of it. When he got pummeled, Atiesh got broken. I just hope he is able to come back as a Guardian, but the staff is gone, I'm afraid.
personally, they should have gone with a taskforce of individuals that have a history with fighting against the Void; like the Knights of the Silver Hand, maybe even the Arakkoa from Alt. Draenor, or perhaps they could have tried recruiting the Voru'kar at the beginning of _Wrath of the Lich King_ in order to have a group of Nerubians that do NOT worship the Black Empire or the Void and has a 16,000+ years of Arcane History and Knowledge easily predating the rise and fall of the Kaldorei Empire in their pocket.
Jaina somehow forgot she can teleport to Dalaran within seconds. I guess it only works for plot convenience to make her out to be a monster that massacres hordes. Alleria couldn't do anything to Xellawhosit but she gonna girl boss it cause she furrowed her brow. Absolutely shakesperian.
There are plent of lore possible options. Location, magic potency, and so on. Distance and knowledge might also be factors, as this is a new land few have ever jounreyed to.
Jaina lost hers as well. During the battle for Undercity while they were chatting with Sylvanas her ship was unattended. Baine Nathanos etc. Were on their manned airship. Didnt shoot it to bits. Aka...they would end up teleporting into mid air and fall into the blight with no ship where Jaina teleported to. Buuut they were nice!
@@TrafalgarWaterDLaw-dl5cm Jaina could teleport THE ENTIRE allaince force witb Varian with ease at WOL. She was a master of teleportation, but the story team screwed up with her character again.
it was on cooldown. Khadgar used his ice block already when the bombarded dalaran. Khadgar may be an arch mage but there are rules and ice block has a cool down.
I really hope so, I've seen comments of people overeacting and fighting. I like Khadgar and I don't want him to die. His one of my favorite characters during the 2nd War.
@@TrafalgarWaterDLaw-dl5cm That would be epic. It would be so bad if we see Khadgar die before his destiny is realized. Imagine seeing Khadgar blasting enemies of azeroth with full might of a guardian
Sooo we got an elf main character wielding dark powers she has uncertain control over, going rogue and splitting from the main clique in order to pursue vengeance on her own? Huh.
unacceptable. there is no fucking way this is how Khadgar dies. he is one of the oldest and most fundamental characters of Warcraft. his death should at the very least be as emotionally charged as that of Varian, if not more. Medivh better show up, reveal he saved his soul from going into the Shadowlands, give him back a body and finally give him the power of The Guardian.
Aegywn resurrected Medivh probably he will do the same but khagar is time to leave he got story from Warcraft 1 beginning of history so but I think he is alive he may teleport but he would be without limps or with few of thoses I am not sure we will
This is ridiculous lol. Blizzard did it again. 'The' Khadgar just urinated arcane piss then he just exhausted? He did mass teleportation in Draenor, but he couldn't teleport just himself this time because of one time arcane piss blast and getting some void shots? LOL I think next target is Thrall. And If Xalatath can kill Khadgar and destroy Dalaran so easily like that, why didn't she do that in the first place.
It has already been explained that the artifact Xal wields, that dark heart, has the power to absorb and drain magic. So while Khadgar blasted her, she used that opportunity to void him of most of his power. I'm all for criticizing the faulty plot points but this is not a plot hole...
Thats kinda messed up to put that huge spoiler in the title. Im glad I got early access so it wasn't spoiled for me... but I feel really bad for those who get it ruined like that...
@armius063 do you not know what notifications and recommended videos are? There's other content to enjoy on RU-vid and getting this spoiler randomly in your feed is not fun
So the legion , Sargeras , Kil Jaden and an entire fleet of demonic ships couldn't damage Dalaran or Khadgar but a floating void elf or whatever she is does it easily? Gotcha. 🤡🤡🤮🤮
@@Kumire_921 And just what would you like me to call an npc in a video game? Proper pronoun? Oh and yes i know absolutely nothing because i no longer play this game due to the story going off the rails. I must address all fictional characters by their specific exact name or i know nothing right? You win idiot of the day award. 🥇🥇
@@mj6258 So you shit talk something you know nothing about and no longer play, make your own assumptions with zero knowledge and then get mad when people call you out for it. Ironic that you'd call me an idiot when you're the one acting like one. What an absolute clown.
Alleria’s lesson is going to be accepting that she needs help. She can’t just keep pushing through by herself, because she’s strong, but when doesn’t accept help, those around her become lost to her. This was heavily noted with the recap of her story with Sylvanas, Turaylon, and her child. Aka THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP arc again 😒
100% ain't dead. Assuming he was disintegrated and not teleported, he'll come back in all likelihood an Ethereal. If you recall, Xal' is the Herald of Void Lord Dimensius who destroyed the original planet and its denizens that later became the Ethereals due to their high arcane nature holding them together. Xal' probably did the same to Khadgar. And we'll get Ethereals as a playable race! 👍
if cubical crawls, other horrific that leaked from this company, shit and abuse of shadowlands did not made you quit, but khadgar's death does... that would be funny in a tragic way, honestly.
Alleria: "I can't keep anyone save, Imma hunt down Xal'atath" Gurl, she just slapped you silly in own head like redheaded stepchild and you're going back for more?
Game hasn't released yet but is in first hour of early access: RU-vid(r) -- I'm going to post exactly what happens in the text for everyone to see; it's your fault for watching this person's videos in the past that we recommend this to you.
Remember, this is after 1 and a half years of thinking, the best they could do is a shitty sendoff for one of the most powerful characters on azeroth currently, and slyvanis 2.0. Let that sink in how over it is
I get having the villain kill off a major character at the beginning of a story to make them more of a threat but to do it for no other purpose feels so hollow.
I can bet with almost certainty knowing Blizzards terrible and predictable writing that Khadgar is currently a prisoner and is being used as a power conduit to fuel something and then we'll go to a raid, probably 2nd to last in this expansion, we'll free him, but he'll be taken away again and then we'll probably face evil-void Khadgar in the final expansion and have to kill him to free the world soul or whatever. Sylvanas will appear with an army from the Shadowlands and Medivh's spirit will come and provide the buff we need to actually be able to hit khadgar and then we'll all be crowned the Guardians. Ill leave this comment here and in a few years come back and give me those upvotes for being 100% correct.
Tirion's death? Stupid. Not really, though. Remember asking the Light for one final miracle at the Frozen Throne? 🙂 Yeah. Tirion actually BELIEVED that that was it. He was proven wrong when the Light took him to the Lightlands later. Also, when DKs tried to raise him. The Light loved Tirion more than any paladin alive but the cause of his death was a lack of faith. Varian died a hero with the intent of saving his friends and soldiers. Not a hero. A hero king. Khadgar? Bro. There's no reasonable explanation! His staff is broken? How did he teleport Alleria? He could've easily blinked back, and port out. He's not as powerful as Jaina, not even close, but come on... There is no valid reason for him to die! Not like this. Oh, wait. He's a white male. Got it.
@@whitescpdr Quit smoking you can still have a chance at rehabilitation and maybe someday you will be able to make a full coherent sentence without shitting your pants... i believe in you!
Alleria is alot like Anduin when he was younger. He went head strong into Lorderon to fight Slyvanas only to nearly be killed and saved by a mage. Alleria goes headstrong to fight Xalatath and is saved by a mage.
oh shit he is really dead then :( ? We never know with blizzard, they could say it got teleported in void world or whatever but it sounds the end, why they killed him ? no idea like usual, what a shitty death
Really something to see how their in-game cinematics have progressed. Still, I can't help but feel that old Blizzard would have done a "real" prerendered cinematic if we are indeed seeing the end of Khadgar and Dalaran at the same time.
1:00 It feels like he _might_ have “just” been teleported (HARD maybe here), if only because Xalatath was clearly being engulfed by her own attack without harm or hesitation. Worst case, we can always double back to The Shadowlands to see if he wound up there for sure.
Yah, this shit was extremely disappointing, I'm hoping this shit isn't the end of him. I like the character of Khadgar... I understand killing off powerful characters but he goes out casting 2 spells? This dudes the guardian lmao.
Dalaran explosion shocked me. We have had this city for 16 years. I was so accustomed to him that I was only angry with the thought that he could be the capital for another expansion. 10 minutes later I saw the explosion and at the first moment I could not believe it. It's like twin towers fall in front of my eyes. I see and don't believe my eyes because I am always used to being there as a given that will never change.
True, felt like losing an old friend. That said, Dalaran has been destroyed before, and more than once at that. It'll be back. And hopefully, so will Khadgar.
So Dalaran is now in the Great Dark Beyond much like Draenor, and Mardum. Hopefully Dalaran got ported next to Outland so he can go back to Shattrath once again. Best spot would just next to the Dark Portal.
If this isn't the moment for Med'an to return, I don't know when else could it be edit: For those who doesn't know, Med'an is the son of the Medivh and Garona.
I mean, I agree there would be no issue with Med'an. We don't care about multiracial, and the power scale ? Dragonflight just resurrected for free 6 aspects and one titan guardian. I think we're not that tight.
@@Aztonio I'm not discarding bringin Khadgar back, but introcuding Med'an while he is away would be a nice choice. WoW's story is almost ending, at least the Titan/Azeroth story. And Med'an was a guardian, just like his grandmother who was able to fight an avatar of Sargeras by herself. Imho, a nice way to bring Khadgar back would be introducing more info into the ley lines. Make it something like the lifestream from final fantasy, or the sea of souls from the Shin Megami Tensei universe. Where the souls reside. Khadgar having a better grasp of the arcane arts could tune into it's power and come back as a full-fledged guardian. But to bring him back into this world, something like a strong link on this side to be able to conduct a ritual would be good. Let's say the staff would be the focus needed. And who would be better to use it than other guardian?
@@twentyfifth_night Yeah but you'd better stop thinking. Blizzard devs don't waste much ressources into brain activity, so why should you do it for them for free?
So let me get this straight, Khadgar who fought a fully empowered by Tomb of Sargeras and ancient Elven magic Gul'dan one on one and then with the help of Maiev on his side, can't last a single arcane blast against our new villain? Yeah....no, I call shite writing
@@jongbak1106 Jaina would've done it though. It's kinda funny how blizzard is trying to make us forget how racist she was before bfa. And how she butchered the blood elves
The in-game cinematic is really nice and I like these a lot, but for the love of Azeroth, it just doesn't make any sense. Where are the elite archmages, no guards, the city of Dalaran looks so vacant. And why is Khadgar so... pathetic? He does little to nothing, where is this legendary archmage, where is the mighty wizard, student of Medivh? I was expecting some brilliant scheme carefully planned by the Kirin Tor council. Is this, how Khadgar meets his end?
I'm just comically imagining this human sized chunk of ice falling from the sky where Dalaran just exploded, and Khadgar crawling out from it in some crater. Mages never die.
Looks like Dalaran was disintegrated instead of crashing. Not sure I want a WOW without Dalaran. And what happened to Vereesa Windrunner and her and Ronin's twin sons? They lived in Dalaran.
I always wanted a WoW without Dalaran, we always expected a WoW without Dalaran. We deserved a Warcraft without Dalaran. They're finally fixing theirs blatant mistakes.
Done you worry. They will add some 3 new expansion with another different timeline where we first time meet khadgar and he will yet live and be all merry.
