Been to long, these are by far the best batreps still. I dont play warmahorde that much anymore but still really enjoy your batreps and how well done they are. Hope to see more, more often.
As always, an extremely well produced video. And of course a very enjoyable match! I was surprised and amused by the allusion to "the Princess Bride"! Keep turning out these gems!! Cheers!
Great battle. That was highly entertaining. It must take forever to play a game like this with constant camera work. Great painting on the models, too!
I know it's late but I've seen that this bat rep was out a long time ago , but was saving for one of my need to stay awake nights , these are too awesome and well made to get sleepy while watching
The Grymkin music was composed for this battle report. I just uploaded a video featuring it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0J-QLQAMyYw.html
Haven’t played Warmachine yet, just fifteen years of 40k and WH Fantasy, but those are some of the most beautifully painted models I have seen. This definitely makes me want to learn WM. Thanks!
I don't think you could say of Orsus that he is without a clear mind for he is, after all, a great (reckless) strategist. He kills with hate and he loves it. He has more of a broken heart than a broken mind in my opinion.
Agreed. Though he is certainly completely loyal to Khador; one of the reasons for the Queen to pardon him is the fact that that very definite accusation against Orsus has been a false one.
Not sure how I missed this coming out a week ago 😞 Glad to have a new bat rep. Loved the commentary between rounds. Makes it feel more interactive. Keep up the best bat reps on RU-vid Miranda! You're awesome!
Absolutely for teaching the game, and honestly for teaching the women in our lives our hobby. It's a sad truth that not many ladies play the game, and frankly we (men) that dominate it are largely the problem. We collectively create a variety of hostile barriers, and that sucks. Miranda is a wonderful example for the community, bringing enthusiasm, high production value, and the right level of goofiness that has made it more interesting to both my partner and our daughter. Couldn't be more pleased with her work, it literally has enriched my personal life. Sitting around painting and discussing tactics, and hearing the happy squeals from my little booger-eater at the pre-release art for Skarre3 is super fun.
its been my experience that many woman like and dislike the Hobby, but its not largely the fault of the men that there are not many women, largely need to find other ways to get into the hobby, whether it be by converting existing models or by choosing the army for themselves and not what others think.
+Theodore Chism - Neither my wife or I have seen the hostile barriers you're referring to. We've found that in general table top gamers tend to be welcoming to new players, males especially welcoming to women. I understand it can be intimidating to participate in an activity mostly populated by the opposite gender. However, you don't empower anyone to overcome their intimidation by teaching them things need to be changed for them. That just reinforces feelings of intimidation. Female role models such as Miranda are a great example that women can thrive in this space perfectly fine. She's doing great work in lifting the stigma that table top games are for men.
To answer your question, the Butcher. He is a man who easily/readily gives into his rage for the civilization/society he believes in. He would make a nasty addition to the Grymkin.
Lord Longfellow is terrifying! Gaining an extra die on attack and damage rolls against character models plus Finisher means he is caster kill on a stick. Good thing you blew him up when you did!
When I see him on the other side of the table he becomes persona non grata. I mean, he's scary enough being a spider, but a caster killer on top of that? Ick!
Yes!!!! Best battle reports are back! You made my day. And to be fair, I think it would be easier to list Khador warcasters who would NOT catch the Grymkin's attention. I mean, pretty much all of them (except Harkevich and maybe Vlad+Kozlov) seem to go for an "end justifies the means" kind of behaviour, not exactly the nicest people in the world. Still the most badass, though
That was some lucky pigs! Irusk, the old witch (which is probably in leauge with them already somehow), Stakhov and the Butcher guy are all sure to attract the attention of someone who eats evil doers.
Its...its already half an hour? But I wanted more :( Amazing work there mate, Grymkin music is super Tim Burtony! Must have taken you forever to edit to this degree, making a wargame cinematic as hell! PS: Those blasts that caught and wiped out 3-5 Hollowmen were so satisfying!
The music was composed by a friend. If you're interest, I just uploaded a video featuring it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0J-QLQAMyYw.html
Love your channel! it is very easy to follow and I think I'm learning a lot. Is it possible to make another video playlist for battle reports with only Mark 3 rules so those of us who use your channel for learning can focus on the most current rules?
I enjoyed the battle report, Grymkin seem like a tough army to face down with that many shenanigans. As for others in Khador they might be interested in meeting I can think of: The Butcher: Already a madman and probably has killed a few too many innocents for their liking. The Kayazy: Just the Kayazy. The Empress: Kind of a spoiled brat. ;p Vast majority of the the greylords: though they have to beat the retribution to them first.
Great, was looking forward to another Report of yours :) 7 minutes in I noticed you did not say which Arcana the Grymkin-Player picked. If you do another Report Vs Grymkin, it might be good to tell us which ones he took, I think you could do so when you show the Grymkin deployment
Hello Miranda! Do you have the models to do a 'Legion of Steel' theme Battle Report? You need a lot of models (IFP, Black Dragon IFP, Uhlans and Markov, 2x Kovnik), but the theme is so flavourful and a lot of fun, particulary with Strakov2. Give it a go maybe!
