Khamzat has always appeared to me like someone who actually genuinely likes other people and would like to be friends with everybody. His "trashtalk" has never been mean, it's always just friendly banter. It's just that on the other hand he loves fighting, that's why he's hyped up to beat the opponent but never with actual ill intention and malice.

There was this moment in the fight where Burns first gave a little smirk/smilie to Khamzat and he returned that little grin. It was probably my favorite moment in the whole fight. Kind of like a mutual respect “oh we are ALL the way in the trenches tonight and we both getting PAID”. Haha what a fight

Translation of the questions asked in Russian (the end of the video) “Hey Khamzat, in the first round you managed to successfully wrestle with Gilbert, but later on you did not really try to take him down, why is that? Did you feel any kind of threat or your coaches set a particular goal? - “No, there was no threat for me. The initial plan was to show him some wrestling and my strength in that department so he would second guess himself and allow me to beat him up easier. All in all, I wasn’t in danger. - “You dropped him with the jab first, why do you think you couldn’t finish him after that and how close do you feel you were to doing that? - “I don’t know, I don’t even remember how close I was. I recall that I dropped him and wanted to go for a finish, but then I figured that he starts swinging and I couldn’t find the target properly, that’s why I thought of allowing him to stand up and try to knock him down (out) again. It is what it is (about how it eventually went down). - “What about your interaction with Gilbert’s children, did it happen before the fight and what (how) happened? - Yeah, I met them in the hotel the day before the fight. I went down to the lobby and they were passing by and said:” oh it’s you who fights our daddy”. I was like: “oh shit, I am not really willing to see (somebody’s) children right before the fight, you know, think about his (Gilbert’s) family. I am an emotional guy and it’s hard for me to see kids at fights. I would never bring my own children to (see) fights.

I think you guys may be missing his point. Khamzat gave Burns the utmost respect after the fight. He said he needed this war from Burns. What he meant is: He wants to fight another killer "guilt free". Khamzat said it was hard for him to hurt Burns after he saw Burns children! Do that make a little more sense? Of course, Burns is a killer. However, Khamzat wants to fight other killers "guilt free". He don't want to be thinking about the man's children...

@@Nate___ I see no excuse with Khamzat. He certainly didn't make any. Nor was he responsible for any hype. From his perspective he looked at the lay of the land at the UFC and sensed weakness. He challenged the #2 guy and split his head open! Love him or hate him, Khamzat is a savage warrior. However, I noticed two mistakes that he made: 1. He stop listening to his coaches during the fight. 2. He fought during the fasting Month of Ramadan! I don't think Muhammad Ali ever did that. Insha'Allah, when he battle Colby and Usman, he should not be fasting. He is going to need all of his strength... One thing I believe is going to happen is Jihad - no doubt! He is now #2

And early in the fight, people are forgetting this, but not only did he TAKE a MASSIVE right power punch from burns and just stood there and kept swinging, with crisp clean striking, and foot work still, but he also took burns down and ground and pounded him, damn near won it right there. If you watch, burns was in despair at that time. He had to really turn it up to get back up from that shit. Not even usman was able to do that to burns and keep him down for ground and pound like he did. I can't WAIT until this dude trains with what he's taken away from his fight last night, has ANOTHER two or three fights, and learn from THEM too, and then fights usman. It's not going to take long for him to be another Jon Jones in welterweight or even better.

Him "looking human" & getting rocked because of recklessness will only blind people to the fact in his first test he was outclassing the #2 ranked fighter for a majority of the fight. He switches stances easily, showed great kicks & as we all know is a monster wrestling. He vs Chaos will be unreal.

Dana is the highest paying fight promoter there is. The fact is he has to make that money to keep the UFC in business. If you feel that way, rescue them with your fight company and pay them 100 million dollars. 50,000 is a good fighting fee as they make more money in one fight,then we do all year.
@TopboyP
@TopboyP 2 года назад
@@rwl123r I have to disagree with you. The UFC does not need to make the amount of money it does to survive the bars lately have been set high and in business with investors they expect to see you reach that bar every time, since their pockets become deeper and deeper. These fighters train year round, they are not waitresses that come in for a night shift and then leave with tips. They earn and deserve much more than the UFC pays them and it’s a known fact. The problem is that the “UFC” the brand, is known as a worldwide platform. To compete in the UFC is to compete with the top fighters in the world. Many pure bread fighters fight in the UFC for that reason, not the money. They earn their money, it’s not easy. And for this reason they take advantage of the fighters and pay whatever they want to pay them. It is a business.
@rwl123r
@rwl123r 2 года назад
@@TopboyP you could disagree,but you would be wrong. What do you think would happen? He would walk in and say " Hi I'm Dana White." And everything falls into place. It is obvious you haven't ever researched how much a venue cost. in 2021, the average venue he has to fork over 5 million dollars and that doesn't include permits, security, liable insurance and venues he calls in. Plus he has to pay for promotion swag for the venue. Then after all of that he pays his fighters. So yeah, 50 million for all the work he has done is about right. Like I said before, you can save them all by opening your own fight promotion and pay the fighters 100 million dollars. No one cares honestly about these fighters, they are independent contractors, so if they want .ore money, negotiate a better deal
@rwl123r
@rwl123r 2 года назад
@Butwhy first of all that's a lie. Only champions of the UFC fight once per year contracted. They only need to fight once. People like Nate Diaz, fights more then once. Hell even Randy Couture at 44 fought more then once a year. Connor and Khabib if I remember correctly fought twice in one year ( I think not 100 percent sure) if fighters are complaining knowing what they get paid and still go through with it, that's on them. Plus there pay doesn't even really matter. Their social media and endorsements is where they make there real money.
@rwl123r
@rwl123r 2 года назад
@Butwhy oh boy, It is Dana White who said that so I make it up with him. I am saying they are contracted to one, I didn't say limited to one. Do you even read what people write? I said Randy Couture fought more then once at the age of 44 as a champion.
