I gotta go with Nekros. I'm not a melee kinda guy and I'm not going to be messing around with a stat stick so I'll keep it simple and run around using my guns.
Yeah negative heavy attack efficiency does nothing as without heavy attack efficiency mods you always consume all combo. And Khoras whipclaw doesn’t even do heavy attacks.
Would love for someone to mention how good Khora is in index farming. Having venari with the synth mods + fetch is HUGE. Throw dispensary over her whipclaw. Boom, you have infinite energy khora that can't die and makes it so any of the enemies can't shoot you do to being entangled in her dome, plus having fetch is HUGE quality of life
Dome isn't even needed, depends on playstyle. I like playing nekros with zarr in index with my wife playing khora with zarr so we can maximize looting mods since index drops only rare mods. This method in 2 means we can finish the first round in 3-5 minutes and come out with 16-31 rare mods. You may ask why? Rare mods have a higher chance to provide rare ones on transmutation. This can be a great alternative to farm up unowned mods or make some platinum beside faing credits :D
Been away from warframe for a while, thought id check ur vid... im back online, i love your content man i spent 17 mins chilling here time just passed. Keep up the good work g
glad that I already had a decent stat stick (Jaw Sword) with a riven since I play Gara most of the time. slightly different stats are needed but I'm happy I didn't need to put too much work into it.
I want to change my farming frame from Nekros to Khora. I need to study well this video because my builds are failing in Steel Path, and she is good enough to survive. Probably is because I'm adding strength when isn't necessary or not properly managing my shields on my gameplay.
I would definitely suggest to keep nekros as your main farming frame, if you have ripkas wirh amalgam true steel mod equiped + smeeta kavat with charm then he is better, specially because he isn't stationary like khora either. Although if you have a friend it's better if both frames are there as they stack.
@@brianfulmer2232 Yeah, probably she better off kpm, specially with new melee buffs. I still use Necros for farm part of javlock to helmint,10+ from 1 mission without buster. Merry Christmas😘
One day, i was messing around and decided to put kullervo's helminth with around 130% strength on my khora... i will say it's fun, and i can get reliable red crits, but this is probably not smth i should not feed into.😬 Edit: I forgot to say, but since i use madurai on her (as of me typing this i dont have naramon built into at all), i technically do not need a positive ability str. Khora but, meh..
If im correct khora and hydroid dont stack with their loot chance increases. Would be better off with a nova instead of hydroid since she can teleport enemies in khora's bubble, and any kills on enemies in the bubble are more likely to drop more loot, and nekros can just get stuff from the dead bodies.
When Lycath's Hunt says 5 or more status effects, is that five different types or just a stack of 5 of just one type? Could it be two types of status effects, like 3 of slash and two of heat? Just wanting clarification. I use the Cedo alt-fire to put out multi-status effects. That said, it's actually quite difficult to use Khora at lower levels once built out cause she kills things two fast to apply status effects or build of whip claw damage.
Hey, could you please clarify why is the Ability Strength not very helpful? According to the wiki the base damage does get multiplied by the weapon mods as well as ability strength, meaning, using Overextend and nothing to counter it results in a coefficient of 0.4, i.e. your damage is less than half of what it could be. Am I wrong here? Or are we just countering this negative effect by having much higher base damage coefficients coming from the weapon mods? (I mean it's still down to 40%, that's not insignificant... Using simple Stretch would instead yield 190% range, that's not too big sacrifice for having more than double damage?
The reason is the melee statstick makes such an impact that the ability strength isn't really helping. Plus, if ur using her whipclaw augment, ur just getting more dmg anyway which is yet another factor to outweight the ability strength.
@@ThatMicrowavedToast11 From the formula the ability strength multiplies everything the statstick does. So yeah, half the ability strength means half the total damage at the end of the day. It matters as much as damage or elemental mods. It's literally 1:1 equal in its contribution. Definitely not something you want to throw away, not something you want to have negative with Overextend because that means that your total damage is multiplied by 0.4 = less than half of what it would have been at 100% ability strength, and that's huge difference.
...it's multiplied with your damage mods, it's not additive... Meaning it actually matters a lot to not go negative even if you're not going positive bonus.
@RheaAyase checked the wiki. Khora whipclaw explosion radius is capped at 10m (200% ability range), khora whipclaw deals 200% dmg to enemies affected by ensnare, and if an enemy touched by khora's strangledome is hit by whipclaw the 50% dmg will be transferred to all other enemies in the strangledome. I think the main thing is as long as ur hitting enemies in strangledome (especially tagged by ensnare), ur already supposed to be killing most stuff in the game within like 1-3 hits with whipclaw so i think most people are like "just go more range so ur bubble and ensnare can tag more enemies" or sum shi. Ur right tho, it is multiplicative, so it is still losing a ton of dmg when the ability strength is more than half. Personally, i use a 130% ability strength build with the wrathful advance ability, and i am still killing way more than i should be so you can go ahead and keep ur ability strength in the positives for a more dmg. im just saying i think most people dont really care for the ability strength for the fact they can use the augment and ensnare dmg bonus to already do a ton of dmg compared to missing out on range for some more dmg they prob dont usually need. You dont have to follow the guide step-by-step. Just take the parts you want to use and then modify it to ur liking. Like i said, my 130% strength build is doing amazing for me (anywhere from 200k-3.8mil with the wrathful advance active), so just keep a 100%+ whipclaw if you want. P.s. Yes, i am the yapinator
Tried building for whipclaw, but the trade off is just so damn annoying. Naramon + building combo effort (slow start) + not a proper shield gate, at the expense of losing vazarin. At the end, I feel better to just put on vazarin + glaive prime and not think about the combo stuff, plus I got a free mod slot.
I find it very funny that shield gating is constantly being praised as the “ultimate” or “best” survivability utility in Warframe. Yet, most of the builds I see that use shield gating almost always use Rolling Guard. Yes, I realize it cleanses status effects but it’s just funny that shield gating’s main flaw is that it can’t protect you from things like toxin. All that work to mutate a frame into a SG frame and having to learn the play style and it still can’t protect you 100%.
@@noahedenborg4221 That was just one example. There are also Exinus units which, as the videos says, are a bane to this build. Nothing wrong with the build. It’s just an interesting observation.
@@noahedenborg4221 Honestly, I wouldn’t know. My Acceltra makes instant oatmeal of overshields. It’s not an issue for me. But it was mentioned in the video. Personally, I think magnetic Eximus is more of a pain. Especially on a frame that relies on its abilities.
It’s not necessarily hitting the Center of the dome it’s more the fact that at 200 range you get the max 10 radius for whiplash’s explosion which will in turn hit 1 enemy in the dome thus hitting all enemies
Some ppl just dont waana go for combo🤷 also, even tho magistar gives a huge boost in Crit Dmg, stuff like ceramic dagger (good for gettingbcrit chance), and mk-1 bo (good for getting status) exist. People may not have incarnons but may have rivens for other melee's and if thats the case the rivens can do just as good or even better than incarnons.
In my opinion Nekros is better, its just a simple cast and boom (no need to do a 17min video on him to get same result ^^", i appreciate the video tho) , its easier and needs less setup just for 50%-60% ressources drops AND in Squad or random squads it will works on everyone's kills , not just in the dome
True but nekros is actually very very complex and might be around the same time lol but yes he does require much less setup but nekros and khora go hand in hand imo as they both synergize really well
I dont think nekros is better than khora neither khora better than nekros the two of them are so good and helpfull on its way and anyway ppl will always look for two of them specially if we look for endo/kuva farm
Nekros for Starchart is easy to build true, just go max range, Despoil and use the health conversion mod. On SP though, u need shadows augment to survive or have a good team that can protect you. Making Nekros SP viable costs a lot of investment, for new players hes great and easy to use though, thats true.
I would normally agree with you yes but I find that the status application from whiplash is really weird and sometimes needs abit higher status chance than normal so that’s why I opted for weeping wounds, if you can guarantee a corrosive hit off of each whiplash it’s better armour stripping against tougher enemies and also more damage to acolytes in sp
Hello sir its because of the last evolution which gives you 30% increased crit chance and sacrificial steel. Remember it is the incarnon version of the ceramic dagger :)
Whipclaw will get Combo from Any Enemy it hits *DIRECTLY*. Enemies that take Whip Claw's Damage indirectly through her Dome won't build Combo. Other than that... All other standard combo Mechanics work as normal.
@@WarframeFlo another question is how does damage work? i assume i’m doing bugger all damage because i’m only mastery rank 4, but like it’s nothing with a maxed out khora, my guns are maxed and i’m barely doing anything, like my rifle is doing like 10-12 damage a shot and the whip only does like 250, what am i doing wrong?
Not really, if you pair nekros with ripkas + amalgam true steel mod and smeete kavat then he is better for farming, he doesn't need to be stationary either like khora
