there's a respect for silence, that sacred music shares, allowing notes to ring out like tide coming in and fade like tide going out, it's not a race, to get anywhere, it's a dance,...
Listening to this on a September Sunday afternoon in Galway Ireland, not raining and not too cold......just right and the music is the icing on the cake....cheers boss
well, i think that evaluation is a tad to over enthusiastic....but Mr. Speer certainly has his talents. But honestly, should we need counting off the guitar hero's out of west Texas..... would be a pretty impressive list.... which of course Mr Speer from Kruangbin would be the very fist to recognise.....
When they play, the melodies make you feel like you are floating. I love that they are getting the recognition they deserve as a band that is music driven primarily without vocals. It gives me faith that there are still people who appreciate genuine music. This band is more in the realm of the Meters
OMG the first video I've seen the group's personality with the historical music they've listened to reproduced in their musical and personal impersonation. I have records like this that no one listens to anymore. Thank you Khruangbin. Please come to Boston or NH and if I win the lottery I'll be your groupie forever.
Gonna be that stupid person and say the Corona ad brought me here, but have started listening to them since. Love some of their songs. Diamonds in the rough.
Thanks for posting this! I am late to the party, having only discovered this wonderful band yesterday. I am now obsessed. The tones of the guitar are a sound I have been hungry for, without even knowing it.
Funny story about that guitar, he was fixing the tone switch one day and did something wrong, the sound the guitar gives is the result it's unique to his instrument
Jeez, feels like forever ago. I see myself in this video. This was a cold rainy Thursday night in Pittsburgh, wild how times change. Unfortunately Rex is no longer and it all feels like a distant dream.. So many great shows, including this one.
I love how much joy there is in People Everywhere (Still Alive). I think they took their tagline 'the universe smiles upon you' and distilled it into that song perfectly.
This is the best live show i've seen of theirs on youtube. It has all their best album songs and all of their best live-only jams, all in one show. The crowd was awesome and the way Mark interacted with them was great. And Laura Lee's story about the calf born in winter was really nice. Can't wait to see Green Bean live again.
Thanks for sharing this video. I met the band a few months ago on RU-vid, in the video "full performance Live on KEXP" and I liked them very much, so I look for all the videos where they come out. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Thanks for posting this amazing performance! Hopefully more fans can find this one hidden in the RU-vid maze. All that matters is I found it and now enjoying.
I still have 'Firecracker' by Yellow Magic Orchestra: oh man, this cover made me smile! Khruangbin are absolutely my favourite band in the world right now.
What a gift finding this is. Had it saved in my khruangbin file and i knew i needed to be pulled up out of the shits Hittin' the fan funk that was Barrelin' at me like hurricane ida, that come ashore last weekend. Oh yeah, the skies were dark.... until i chose to listen to khruangbin. Instant elevation! Like I boarded a hot air balloon. Ever so slowly rising. Right up out of the shit pit. My truth is khruangbin. Never ever ever ever fails. And i know y'all agree. This show was like a box of chocolates. You look at it and say yes! Chocolates! But when you put that first one in your mouth you know this is no ordinary box of chocolates. Each one is a new experience. Overwhelmingly delicious. Before you know it The box is empty And you realize... You need to send these chocolates to ALL your friends. Cuz we've all havin' too many dark days. And Philly....wow.... PHILLY! You guys were the balloon!
Conocí esta banda gracias a la compañía de esa personas que te hacen suspirar ja , no paso nada pero paso todo . Lindo día para archivarlo en la memoria de los recuerdo de la vida . Me encanta la banda
Thank you!!! If I had to make a suggestion: More gain. I have my volume CRANKED, but the sound is pristine for an open mic recording - thank you thank you thank you
Who, my first impression listening to this stuff is it sounds like rock and roll played by vintage cheesy bands from the Philippines or Korea, or that you'd hear in bad Kung Fu movie soundtracks in the nightclub fight scenes, and sure enough he says they got their start listening to Thai funk from the 60s and 70s! I guess I DO get it! :)
Moataz Magdi nov. 29 they will be in Toronto, nov. 30 they’ll be in Philadelphia and dec. 1st Columbus will be able to listen to this gorgeous music. :-)
thanks for posting this, amazing music extravaganza. this is a high quality recording, and YES video HD, SONG LIST with time was a bonus. Just wondering though, if it is just me, but volume level is really LOW.. anyway to get this with a higher volume level? other youtube video"s are twice or more the volume level. I had volume at 80% just to hear it. thanks
