Some technical trouble with their getting it started when this was recorded. Sorry for the bad reception, but I was outside of their viewing area (and having been there, I think I'd be quite bored if I lived there!)
This station was a CBS affiliate, yet signed off after "CBS Late Night" rather than carrying their "Nightwatch" program (KXTV was the only station in the area that did carry it.) It was also one of the first analog stations in California to go off the air in favor of digital. They didn't have stereo yet when this was recorded, they didn't get it til a few years later.

The film at the end has clips from other sign-off films, such as "Aim High", and the ending shot is from the 1979 version of "High Flight".

My station KNTV 11 in San Jose was an ABC affiliate, yet signed off after "Paid Programming" rather than carrying their "World News Now" program (KGO was the only station in the area that did carry it.)

At one time, I had this sign-off on audio tape. But it was recorded in Sacramento, so the quality wasn't too good, and the first few seconds of the KML-92 spiel was cut off.

When I lived in the South Bay, I got a chance to get KSBW, KCBA and KION in Salinas along with the Bay Area stations as well, but for some reasons until this year, from Newman I got stations from Sacramento and Fresno with KSBW coming in the clear, however now since I moved to Washington state, I now get stations from Portland, OR and Seattle, WA via translator and comes in well OTA but very odd channel positions.

@ptb267ii This was in Davis so we got all the Sacramento area stations, plus we could usually get channels 2, 4, 5, 7 (both KGO San Francisco and KRCR Redding, depending on where you aimed the antenna), 8 (KOLO Reno and KSBW Salinas), 9 (KQED San Francisco and KIXE Redding, at least you usually got crosstalk from Redding while trying to watch SF), 12, 14, 20, 26, 38, and 42, and on really good days we also got 36 and 44. Channel 24 from Chico came in sometimes too but not very reliably.

@eyeh8nbc Haven't really been able to play around since the digital switchover- KHSL is actually the only digital station from out of the area I've seen come in there. They had their own local bug onscreen continuously during a network show, right next to the CBS network bug!

What other stations did you get OTA during the time besides KTVU & KHSL?

I believe the music is Al Stewart with "End of the Day". If possible, could someone verify that? Thanks!

Very nice presentation and for the benefit and information of you and others who view this and to refresh your memory, the words of our national anthem were written by Francis Scott Key in the aftermath of the British attack on Baltimore's Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 when he saw the American flag still waving over the fort that morning and below are Mr. Key's words if you want to read them while listening or sing along as you stand with your hand over your heart. The anthem begins at the 2:57 mark. O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆 gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
