CR2032 Coin Battery 🪙 you need: amzn.to/3GkOJnN How to replace the battery in this key fob for the Kia Soul 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 models. See the whole guide at: fobbattery.com...
It cost me $3 and 5 minutes of my time to change the batteries of my 2018 Kia Soul vs having to pay who knows how much at a car shop or at a locksmith. Thank you so much for showing us! ❤
I especially appreciate the pointer on what to do if you accidentally separate the circuit board from the housing. Accidents will happen. Nice video - easy to see, follow, succinct directions. Thanks!
Thank you so much for making this helpful video! For the first time I am able to change the battery myself, the tips are extremely helpful and made it so easy to execute. BIG thanks!!!
I had done this before BUT this time the green circuit board and rubber gasket fell out! I thought it was broken until I watched the video and saw it could happen and how to put it back together. All is well thank you!
DISPOSAL OF LITHIUM BATTERIES: How should lithium batteries be disposed? Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries and devices containing these batteries should not go in household garbage or recycling bins. They can cause fires during transport or at landfills and recyclers. Instead, Li-ion batteries should be taken to separate recycling or household hazardous waste collection points. (Manufacturers should be required to include this information on packaging!!) Oh, and thanks for the video! ❤
The 2018 fob is different (the uploader of the video apparantly doesn't know that the fobs can vary)... There is no button to push to pull out the end to remove the cover. There is a video here on YT that shows how to do it.
I bought a 2012 Soul+ new in 2012. I'm the only driver. It currently has 77,000 Mike's. I have had to replace my 3rd Fib because the rubber where I press to lock/unlock has completely deteriorated. $225 to $250 each. I have short fingernails! I'm easy on everything I own.
So my car battery died, I jump started the car, and the fob is no longer paired. I have a 2013 Kia Soul. Unfortunately... 2-3 weeks ago my car was hit by that TikTok challenge deal. They were unsuccessful, however my ignition and entire steering column\destroyed. After replacing both, it works once again. (Until the car battery dies apparently) because I no longer have the door key with me... One video I saw mentioned lock/unlock the doors manually, repeatedly to resync. :/ Thoughts or ideas? Haha Nix
I have a 2012 Soul+ a d that's not an option. Besides, that's not my problem. The soft, flexible black leather thins out until one day you push it to open your car, the leather desentagrates. Then, $250. I know the car is old, but it's driven very little and only has 77,000 miles on it and has always been garage kept. Why am I replacing key fobs?!
