This was simply an impromptu moment at a whanau hui discussing preparations for our mum's unveiling, That's all !!!. Nothing professional was intended. 10 years too late however thank you for making people, who weren't there, aware of our family kaupapa at that time. Instead of just enjoying the fact the we chose to share this everyone, it's met with people expecting a full production. As i tell my children "you get what you get and you don't get upset". This was a closed whānau wānanga for an unveiling. While I understand there are disruptions, this was a gift to share. I’m speaking as a niece of the kaiwaiata and the daughter of the person who posted this video. Just be grateful something like this exists and was shared.
A beautiful waiata sung with so much passion and love. What a pity Michelle walked in front of these guys-its not cool. However the voices and the playing of both guitars still had the desired effect of drawing in the listener-rather than watching her back side (not good)waltz by.. Absolutely stunning rendition of this waiata by you both. Its a big WOW from me. Kia ora
This waiata is a classic beauty, and Allen and Eric have done their best to present it as so. It is just a shame that there was interferance from people in the background because it took much of the mana out of their preformance. I would LOVE to see this waiata (and others) presented by Allen and his whanau in a more (hate to say it) but, professional way. How else are they going to be taken seriously!! Beautiful men, beautiful voices, let them be heard!!
These fine young men are my favorite brothers-in-law,Allen and Eric Pukepuke,and in this case their good looks are superceded by their beautiful voices, and more importantly, their wairua.Of course this is a biased opinion...LOL.Luv you both dearly.

How rude and disrespectful of people especially for such a beautiful waiata and those 2 wonderful people singing it ... LOL and look at the wahine kissing him while they recording .. funny. Oh well obviously whanau and who else could do that. Ataahua korua tahi :))
