In this video I discuss how to use a kick drum to control lights in a performance.
This series of videos was created to help community theater groups. It is an introduction and series of tutorials using QLC+, a lighting program that can replace a traditional light board and is a great alternative to community theater groups due to its attractive cost.

Thanks a lot for making this video, Edward! This is the only clear explanation of how to use the audio trigger out on the internet. I have a question: Most people on QLC's forums recommend using a loopback for audio trigger. From this video and my own experiments so far, it seems to run just fine without any loopback. So why do these folks insist on using loopbacks?

Thanks a lot for your support! Great! Now, since hours I am trying to trigger the kick chaser note velocitiy sensitive. I literally found nothing on the internet doing so with QLC+. Is it possible? I tried it with a on/off button and a submaster slider in one frame, but somehow, this works not perfekt. Maybe I have to go back and try it in a new file. Did you already do something like that? I mean, QLC+ reads the midi velocity, so hopefully ...
