People give kicker a hard time because they sell them at big box outlets but they are one of the few companies out there that are actually engineering products rather than just reusing off patent designs. Kicker is solid stuff with great customer support. Always has been.
You don't know until you know. Waiting patiently on the the solox8 after the pressure those Q class L78,s bring. Makes your ear hurt. Appreciate the craft of your art. It's been a long time since I heard it like that. Keep up the work.
Still loving the JBL stadium 82SSI. Q class would be second. I have my Image dynamics but can put them in another ride I have lol. But damn! For a shallow sub. Those are amazing. Like to see head to head with the sundown shallow with the inverted surround. Not a sundown fan but have heard them in a friend's ride. Amazing inside the vehicle. Keep it up!!!👍
You can tell how much cleaner the q is by running them free air either one is great. Not bad for a sub with no excursion......lol quit hating and start creating. Kicker FTW.
Last year i had 2 10s l7t in a sealed enclosure .7cf to each sub in a crew cab powered by a Memphis viv 1100 it sounded real clean and loud inside the truck i was really impressed with those shallow subs
I have two comp VRs 12s in a sealed box under the rear seat in my silverado ext and they sound nice but I want louder, would these have more output in the same box if I make the cutout square and connect these instead or would the difference in output be negligible?
Hey bud! I have 2 of these 10” with a 800 watt kicker amp. I’m looking to get more power from them should I upgrade to a 1000 or 1200? Kicker or Rockford fosgate
I got a 12 inch Orion xtr in my escape right now, but I am in the process of buying a 2016 silverado double cab and looking at putting 2 of these L7 in an under seat box, do you think 2 of these will give me close to the thump my xtr does? I was trying to decide between a dual 8 set up or just giving up the 40 in my 60/40 split back seat and just dropping my orion xtr in, but I would like to have full usage of my backseat.
I have the 12 inch in the back of my beamer and damm it pumps have to tune it right though slightly off tune and will sound like ass but hit the sweetspot and the lows hit harder than my mates dual 12 sony xplods
I was thinking on adding 2 8 inch shallow subs to a two 12 inch shallow mount box but idk if its a good idea ( its going in the back seat of a super-cab )
Bro I got 4 of these and a old school kicker kx 2400.1 what's the best way ti wiring them up to 2 ohms series/parallel I got the smd dcl 4.2 block and a ported box?
@@natskar oh yea those look interesting. Only 69 bucls each. Not really sure what I'm doing yet far as subs. Very low budget of course, but I have a civic sedan n want it low profile, so I can fold seat down, and throw my bike on top of it, plus I carry stuff for work. Might even downfire them
Why do free air test instead of in a box? We want to here what it sounds like in an enclosure. Free air test doesn’t do anything for those who are willing to spend the money on it of they like the way it sounds in its enclosure. Not what it sounds like where it wasn’t designed to go. Thanks for taking the time for the video though.
@@808jspekeg6 yeah idk about that, I had 2 JL tw5 and they were nothing special for the price, sounded good inside but they cant hear you coming down the block 🚮
That's badass for shallow.. always been a fan of Kicker whether its Comp to Solo. Ps it's messing with my head ik that beat I just can't place who it is 🤯🤯
Problem with your argument is if you took the time went out and looked for as many 20 plus year old subwoofers as you could find that still worked I guarantee you you would be overwhelmed by kicker. There's a reason for that, give them way over rated power and they will certainly die but it's most often from eclipse signal because someone doesn't know how to run proper electrical or install.
