Me and my friend Chris used to have these talks all the time while riding and they were very therapeutic. Something about pedaling on 2 wheels really facilitates the conversation. .
You guys along with MtB yum yum literally changed my life about 5 years ago man and to be honest it’s just incredible how getting out on a bike and just enjoying life on the trails can drag people out of a dark place or a dark period in their/ our lives and show us that those happy feelings are inside all of us, you just gotta keep pushing and eventually everything will fall into place, I appreciate you guys and I’m just so grateful to be a part of your stories and adventures, thank you 🙏
Punter retiring; Yuka almost paralyzing herself. It's been a rough week for MTB RU-vid. Glad to see the return of Redemption. Like a glass of warm milk.
The friendship between you two is as obvious as the trail was gnarly. I’ve watched the other REDEMPTION series and it makes for the best adventurous entertainment you can get on RU-vid.
This was one of the most personally inspiring videos I've seen you post in a while! I loved hearing about the early days when you and Alex met. This was about the time I got really into riding myself and I'm so thankful to have had encouraging friends like Alex mentioned to push me to build confidence and make positive life changes! I've followed you both for years and respect the hell out of what you guys are doing!
You know, I don’t know that I ever told the two of you, but watching the OG redemption series, where I think you guys left from Seth’s house. That was the whole reason I thought to myself, well, I have a GoPro, and a gimbal, I can do this. Really credit you two for the stoke in the original redemption series for me diving in and getting things off the ground. This video definitely delivered and was reminiscent of that excitement.
Been following both of you guys for years now, I am a big fan. Both of your guys riding skill has improved soooooooooooo much over the years it is an inspiration. Keep on doing what you do!
You guys are both living the dream. Riding when and where you want, while creating content and enjoying life. That is true happiness and success. Keep up the awesome content. 👍🏁
...and here. We . Go!! Redemption!! Fellas I've been looking forward to another series since the first one! You guys have to pull Seth away from Berm Peak for a ride or two on the tour...would be good fun!! Looking forward to Redemption '22
Hell yeah. Been out of my awhile because of my back and various other things. Since I wasn't riding, I have not watched all the videos. Well I have a full suspension bike coming and y'all are bringing me the stoke!
You guys are an inspiration. You went your own way and succeeded, which IS NOT easy in this country. Thanks for doing another redemption trip. Love it.
Glad to see you guys back together. I've been with you and Alex since Shelia in Fruita CO. So, I'm back watching... and I try not to miss Brian's MTB mountain vid.. the animal shots are precious and I always look forward seeing them... carry on!
Ryan, you're the man! hearing alexander talk about the support and motivation you provided him was really cool, on top of that I just watched the sad "goodbye" of Paul the punter and in his list of people he wanted to thank, you were the first! All this speaks volume about your character, you truly motivate people and it was true for me too. I discovered mountain biking in France in 1985, rode like a maniac for 5 years then life got in the way and I stopped riding for 28 years! 4 years ago I started watching you and decided that I wasn't too old, bought a bike and started riding again and it's been a blast. I now live in Utah so I have the best playground in the world at my disposal. Anyway, thanks for everything and see you on trail... maybe one day!
Man, I am so happy to see this series again! I first starting watching Brian in 2017. I had been through a breakup, and was in a bad state of depression. I found Brian randomly via RU-vid,and it happened to be around the time that the 2017 Redemption series was starting. I would watch the videos of you two for hours on end. It helped me tremendously, and I cannot express the gratitude I have for you both. I am very glad to see you back at it again 🤘. Have fun!
Im all hype up for this i have been waiting for so long! Redemption series lets goooo!!! Seth needs to tag along dude like slick rocks momemt i miss those.
I don’t even have time to sit and watch this right at this moment, but, I see a video with 2/3 of the “Original 3” MTB RU-vid personalities I follow (3 of course being the one and only Seth, who else), so I have to at least pop in and give a thumbs up. I’ll carve out some time to watch this properly later 😉.
Great riding, great views and great back story in the beginning. Us 9-5 working folks really love your lifestyle and wish we took that same plunge you did!
Seems like just the other day Alexander was in the Mazda boondocking in Colorado, Brian was single and hesitant to even buy a van, and they hadn't even met Seth. Man time flies! Glad to see you guys mobbing around together still!
Interesting comments on career v. retirement that hit home for me. I've been mountain biking for years and fitting it into the demands of career and supporting a family. I'm right at retirement age and a couple of thoughts from my perspective -- a) Corporations expect their employees to be loyal, but there is zero loyalty shown in return (in Nth. America). b) I have no regrets about giving time and energy to raising a family because I have 2 great young adults now who still remember the skiing, sailing, riding 'adventures' they had as kids. c) If you think you're going to do it all upon retirement, think again. I'm still strong and fit without any of the over weight afflictions of most Americans, but I don't have the explosive energy I had when I started out mountain biking. As I said, I have no regrets because "Never stop Exploring" is my personal philosophy - I've been places and met an amazing bunch of characters mountain biking.... Don't hate me but I just ordered an eMTB to extend my riding another 10 years. and I'll end the essay here. Thanks for the new redemption series... Looking forward to it because this is what riding is all about.
I took a year off MTB youtube then just lurked and didn't comment for a while but had to leave a quick note to say its soo refreshing to get another Redemption road trip!
Brian got me into MTB now I can’t live without it. Probably also making rethink my concepts and Look for a house in Vallejo. Lol moving from Redwood City , working in San Jose, looking for houses in Vallejo , yep, crazy .
The sum is greater than its parts! I really like both of your RU-vid channels, but these road trips are the best. You should do 4 of these a year minimum!
