I actually lived near that town...it was a neighboring small city of the one that I lived in, which was Carlsbad, around 2010 or so, but I chose a poor time to move, despite needing to do so, for a variety of reasons, but a lot more other economic ones screwed up things even more.
That last chick was a total bee-otch, and got what was coming to her when they guy she tried to shame actually got his dream to come true. Come to think of it, the same could be said about the 1st guy trying to shame the Target employee. You know, maybe if people didn't shame other people for doing their jobs, their own lives wouldn't be so bad.
Maybe the shame other people because the lives of these genetic misfires that shame nice and normal people ARE bad, so they literally try to do things to make themselves feel good and other people miserable in their lives?
i understand how the name "Ding Dong Ditch" fits the activity of ringing a doorbell and running away. I have no idea how "Knock Down Ginger" refers to the same activity, and I'm not sure I _want_ to know the etymology on that one.
That first one is crazy to me. I don't know why Target even gives prices to the displays in the system especially since they're not meant to be used. Probably some weird programming, but still that label shouldn't even have been out. On the other hand, it freaking says display and internally the system would have it under a different ID because of that.
I suspect there must be a reason. Wasn't my department though. Usually though the display models at least give an error if you scan them. Tori probably wasn't even able to sell it, even if she wanted to.
Stock. Displays are still in inventory, and need to be counted during counts of products. Thus, the display needs to have a barcode in inventory. The reason for the low price - a penny - is because when the item is returned / recalled / destroyed at the request of the manufacturer is because it has no value that the retailer can claim on insurance (the manufacturer owns the item). It also prevents the item being removed from inventory from affected stocking reports. An item may also be listed at high amounts like 9999 dollars, but then being removed from stock will show up as -9999 dollars on stock reports which looks REALLY BAD without context and might cause people to get yelled at. Both penny items and overly priced items (9999 in most retail point of sale systems IIRC) are meant to tell employees "do not display this price tag" and also "this item is not for sale".
That man was the level 11 equivalent of people picking up discarded items from clearance sections and then fighting you about them that they deserve to be clearanced, too, as though they've never heard of people picking something up and depositing it in a different spot. I bet they do the exact same thing, as well. Someone will have the more expensive version of an item, will see something similar on the clearance rack, and then will just throw their more expensive item in with the discounted items.

But as a 9-5 single chap in his 40s I'm loving your channel for a few reasons: (30mins "vids" tend to keep my attention best, enough info to "know" but enough content to enjoy and move on.) There's a lot of content. You're not a 20 year old using Chat GPT to skip the entire video making process.....narration included. You look like you enjoy your craft (main reason) Just wanted to thank you for the videos, I have tough times after work finding things to watch to help keep my mind active (as someone battling anxiety a lot a idle mind can be disasterous) You help, keep me smiling, and steady. I hope one day you read this and understand how it doesn't seem like a lot...but it's huge.
I think the confusion lies in both regional variants, and that I've usually only heard Americans referring to their front gardens as yards. There's a whole other example in this video about Knock a door run/Ding dong ditch. Whatever he called it, I've never heard used before at all haha Born in NW England and now live in East Scotland so, don't know if that helps any haha
Operation flamingo which I can't stop laughing everytime I hear it in my head now reminds me of a former neighbor who had for the longest time a 6 foot tall inflatable flamingo on their front lawn. The neighbor moved but now I know where they and another neighbor obviously moved to.

7:43 Oh that reminds me of us getting a council worker here reading our legal rights at the door, with us having no clue wtf was going on. A neighbor had called in some complaints, obvious had some pull, and dobbed us in concerning the extra room we built onto the house. This then extended to going over several other things with our property that wasn't causing any problems for anyone just to make sure we were 100% in regulations. I know that not everyone here is 100% regulations perfect, but geez someone seriously had it out for us. It's like living among a fictional mafia within the real world.

If I had a woman that lived near myself in real life, I would totally support her cosplaying skills if she was into being a cosplayer like yourself, but, unfortunately, I am horrible at making cosplay work, as I was never taught how to sew, knit, crochet, or to construct clothes at all, and, being as I have autistic spectrum disorder, and a lot of mental and developmental issues, I would not exactly be the best when it comes to making such things in my life, let alone making them for someone else.
