This video can be quite confusing after looking at medical advice. Here is my opinion; there are two types of common stones (calcium stones & Uric Acid Stones) both have a different dietary requirement. Universal Advice: - Drink plenty of water ( I would add Lemons in some fluids to break down the stones) - Avoid high intake of salt Treatment for Calcium Stones - eat rich calcium foods (not supplements) this can be foods such as dairy, yoghurt, cheese with a meal. Recommended dose of calcium is 1000-1200 mg per day Limit vitamin c you take in a day. Stick to recommended amount 60mg NOTE: Calcium is not the enemy, it is sodium! It is recommended to pair calcium rich foods with oxalate rich foods. They say to eat these together because they will bind together in the stomach rather than the kidneys. So, if you do have oxalate rich foods, have it with *calcium*. Treating Uric Acid Stone: Avoid foods with high purine, such as: red meats, organ meats, shellfish. NOTE: High purine leads to a high level of puric acid. Follow a diet which is mostly vegetables and fruit I hope this helps. Please feel free to reply if you want more info
The last video said to avoid oranges. People, you have no control over getting stones or not. Just drink as much water as you can and pray for the best.
if avoiding oxalates you dont want to consume spinach, or oranges, grapefruit or raspberries as this video shows. They are high in oxalates. Lemons, limes, blueberries, strawberries and blackberries are very low in oxalates. Also avoid Avocados. Look up a food oxalate table, here are plenty of them online. The other type of stones are uric acid kidney stones, the only type of stones that can be dissolved with constant consumption of lemon and water.

I went to surgery for kidney stone i got the size of 41mm Percutaneous nephrolithomy used to remove large kidney stone. Put me sleep 2 1/2 hours. After surgery got scared eating anything. I got calcium phospate doctor said stay away from too much salt. The healing is taking time no lifting and exercise. Went back to see urologist gave me Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg capsules to block forming salt. 7months taking this meds. No kidney stone in my right kidney and i stop taking meds i feel my legs is getting weak my potassium level is low. I stop taking for a year utology call me for a yearly xray n ultrasound bad news got 2kidney stones forming. And i felt pain in my right kidney. I dont like to go back for another surgery. Now taking Hydroclorothiazide 12.5mg and pottassium. Otherwise it would form more stones if not taking meds. Whoever read this and you got big kidney stones after your surgery make sure they give you a meds to prevent forming stones. It does help a lot. Now im waiting to get my Ct scan done. Wish to pass the stones before Ct scan. Dringking a lot of water with lemon.

Well I dont eat that stuff and I drink water every day and the one thing on that list you said not to eat was peanut butter so I have a really low low chance of getting a. Kidney stone so I guess I am lucky thanks for this video I will show this to the doctor if needed

I had stones in both kidneys. It was a serious condition spent so much. My doctor gave me list of foods to avoid. Now there is nothing left for me to eat when I look at food I get frightened. Living only on water and fruits but still I have pain.become so weak can hardly do much work.These people are so confusing.

A lot of it is genetic and nothing can be done to avoid them. I've had kidney stones and gallbladder stones resulting in its removal. Drink lots of water especially during pregnancy, that's all you can really do.
If you go through enough medical expert advice you will realise that they're giving you a lot of contradictory advice and telling you not to eat just about everything...plus the dietary advice is just ridiculously unrealistic for most people to follow....eat calcium! Don't eat calcium... don't do this unless you also do this and drink a metric ton of water every day...who can actually do all these things for any length of time?

Basically, all my favorite foods are to be avoided: meat, chocolate, peanut butter, spinach, salt, orange juice, iced tea, chicken livers......I believe Satan must have invented kidney stones.

A low oxalate diet will not prevent calcium-oxalate stones for everyone. Oxalates are measured in the 24 hour urine collection and it can be normal level even if you eat a high oxalate diet because it can bind with other mineral such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and prevent this from getting into the urine. Besides, your liver makes oxalates and vitamin C supplements converts into oxalates. Avoid Vitamin C SUPPLEMENTS to reduce oxalates. Bottom line is have a 24 hour collection evaluated to determine imbalances.
