It's only a week until Christmas!! Can't believe how quickly it's come up, and today I'm (finally) sharing the gifts we bought for our kids! Good ideas. Every year, we get our kids Christmas pajamas to be opened and worn on Christmas Eve. We also get each kid a book. After that, it varies a bit. Especially now as they get older. My sister and her husband get their kids 3 things. (Because Jesus got 3 gifts). They get a want, a need and a surprise. I like hearing about everyone's approach to christmas gift giving 😊

Great ideas! The 3 gift rule sounds fun. I guess that’s what we did this year, plus one for Christmas Eve! With the kids exchanging gifts too, that’s four extra gifts each. It quickly gets to be a lot! 😊

I cannot express how grateful I am and how refreshing it is to watch your Christmas gift videos. In my opinion it’s better late than never and I enjoyed seeing what you got your kids for their Christmas presents. ❤ I feel like I’m learning more about your kids each video but I feel like I learned about Wesley the most. Because I knew that Wesley loved the I spy books, trains, and playing baseball. I am still learning about your kids and that excites me because you and Andrew raised wonderful kids. ❤🥰 I love how you have a need, want, reading, and early Christmas Eve gift for each kid that’s such a creative idea

My 12 year old wanted that Lego set that Zara is getting. I haven't posted my videos yet, they are coming out Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday lol. I don't hide my kids gifts, even well, there are packages that just haven't been opened sitting in my living room that are gifts. They know their gifts are just sitting in boxes in the garage and they won't go looking because they don't want to ruin it.

It's so funny about the tie because I just got my 16-year-old an adult-sized tie that is still a zip-up one! He can tie a tie but he likes easy 🤣

Bella Got a ukulele this year for Christmas for the exact same reason! She loved that Kiwi Co. ukulele to the point of wearing it down, she even brought it to our co-op to help lead worship lol. That’s so funny!

I totally agree about natural consequences! If they choose to snoop, they miss out on the surprise! Great gift ideas. I’ve been looking forward to this video. I love the 4 gift rule. I do the same and add a ‘do’ like drawing supplies, puzzles, etc, plus a board game for Christmas Eve. I couldn’t imagine going back to all toys again, 4 gifts works so well. Happy to see I’m not the only one who has gifted rechargeable batteries- i bought some from Costco for $40-50 last year for my gamer stepson who is always asking for batteries last year and got so much hate for it 😅 I didn’t understand the hate, I think it’s a great gift and pretty pricey!!

As a German I know about the stocking tradition, but just wondering when do they get the gifts from stockings? Gifts from under the tree are for the morning of 25th, right?
