Actually, 3 members participated in this video are Kyuhyun (wearing black), Yesung (red hair), Ryeowook (wearing white). They are all main vocalist of Super Junior, which is supposed to the strongest vocal-line among Kpop. Their vocals are out of this world. They were all above 35 years old when they did this vid, so they had a big age gap compare to the kids, so kid had to call them as uncle. But they are working as idol and has young look, that why they still want to be called "oppa" (means brother) instead of uncle - which made them more older. You could see that they were sensitive about their ages when talking :))) Their debut song was "Twins" with 12 members in 2005. The following song was "U" with 13 members including Kyuhyun - the maknae aka the youngest members in group. You can check their MVs, the MVs have an outdated style but their songs are still relevant to hear. The first member, Kibum, to left because he wanted to develop as an actor. Unfortunately, 3 other members had to left with complicated reasons that made them couldn't continue being in the group together. 9 members remaining in group are now active as actors, MCs and casts in entertain programs, music awards, musical and many other TV shows. Because they appear frequently on TV and events, the kids may know and remember them as entertainer and comedian, but the truth is they are still idols, still active as a group. 15:05 Sorry Sorry was choreographed by Nick Bass, who used to work with Justin Timberlake. Most of groups has others choreographed for their songs and Groups can modify to their style or just learn the original. Sometimes, Idols themselves create choreography for their special stages or video contents. 20:59 Oh please check for it, "Devil" had 2 MVs, performance MV and action MV, but I would recommend you to check their 2 teasers of the songs. Those are kinds of funny and extraordinary :))) I think this vid would be more interesting if you knew a little about Super Junior members before watching. Like the way Kyuhyun is the youngest so he can easily make fun of and tell joke on his older members while they cant get mad at him (09:42, 10:39, 18:35, 20:59). Or Yesung is always humble and look serious even when he was kidding (21:48). And Ryeowook kindly explained the situation for the boy (18:44). I love your reaction and how you appreciate things. The 4 members that left all had different reasons. 1. hankyung. He left because he was mistreated by the company and his health suffered a lot because hhis schedule was too much. He went back to china (he was the only foreign member and also the first foreign kpop idol). 2. kibum. I don't know the whole story but he just kinda disappeared with the company saying he was gonna focus on acting. He has recently become more active on his youtube and even appeared on the masked singer (a variety show). 3 sungmin. He got married and the fans didn't like that so he went on hiatus. He never officially left so there is still a chance for him to come back. He is active on tiktok with his wife and also appeared on some variety shows recently. 4. Kangin. He's had a fair share of controversies which includes a fight (it was slf-defense) and 2 DUI cases. after the second DUI he decided to leave the group to not cause anymore damage. I;m not sure if he completely stepped away from being a celebrity but he hasn;t been doing anything on tv. This is just a very short summary of why they left. There may be a couple details wrong but the main points are there.

Kyuhyun is so shady. I love it. He has a big solo career of his own, and he has done a lot of reality and variety shows. Heechul and Shindong are on the variety show Knowing Brothers, so a lot of people know them without knowing their group, similar to Key and Amazing Saturday. I would love Eunhyuk, Siwon, and Heechul to come back to do a rebuttal.

There are also 2 bonus members that joined thru subgroup Super Junior M which was focused on mandopop. So 15 members in total. They are Henry and Zhoumi. Henry started his own solo label. Zhoumi is still with SM. SuJu age range 83-89 Lunar age is counted differently than western age.

In Korea they are 1 year older unlike the rest of the world. For example, 10:22 the youngest member of Super Junior is 33 years old but in Korea he's 34. That happens because a newborn is 1 year old as they spent "almost one year" in mother's belly.

I guess to her was gross because she was a child. I was a teen and adored Siwon and Leetuk. Watching this is for me too, I remember my mom getting mad because I was waiting for Mr Simple at 4 am. She's not here anymore and these are just great memories. Ryewook loves bursting into song just like Lee Hong Ki and you are absolutely right not all of kpop singers can or do.

Yes, they already had MVs. SuJu recently did a performance of "U" in costumes similar to their old ones for their 16th anniversary, but they didn't go so far as doing the hair. "Shaggy" was actually an adjective that means "long haired" before it became the name of a character, and he got the name because of his hair. I think K-Pop requires more research about context rather than just watching MVs. In K-Pop groups members can't leave easily even when they want to, nor can groups simply disband, because they couldn't afford to pay the compensation. SuJu often joke about that, that they are only still together because of their contract. But of course they have renewed several times. :) And no, hardly anyone is married with kids, idols are not even supposed to date or they risk losing popularity with fans. This seems extreme and many people think it is unique to K-Pop, but it's actually not (eg in classical Hollywood hearthrobs were also supposed to remain "available"). I agree with other commentators the whole thing is even funnier if you know the "back stories", eg when Kyuhyun says "It's complicated," fans are probably both laughing and crying how much of an understatement that is, because they went through a lot. And the running gag with Kyu is that he keeps threatening to "go solo", because he joined the group a bit later (a year after founding) and his voice got them their first awards. So he's proud of himself and dissing the others, but that's only half serious. Regarding your thesis "newer groups show more sex" - almost the opposite is true. Earlier K-Pop and SuJu in their heyday were more daring than anyone now! A western music critic even called SuJu "uebersexual". I have no explanation for that, other than that "censorship" whether explicit or implicit is not a linear process from restrictive to permissive, the pendulum can swing back anytime. Personally, I'm glad that my bias Leeteuk recently brought back that "blazer with no shirt and choker" look from "Bonamana". It's iconic. Also not true that newer stuff is more "complex", it's just more "polished", but also more standardised, less experimental and playful. K-Pop is actually bringing a lot of things back in 4th gen that were already done in 2nd gen, but that new audiences don't know anymore, so it seems new to them! Especially with SuJu I think you should learn their names, firstly because it's relatively easy, since they are more diverse in looks than any other group, secondly because each and every one of them is worth knowing. :)

As for the choreography, they hire choreographer but the members also will take part in changing the choreo to fit them more. Plus they will change it to the easier ones to let heechul dance with them too Oppa means brother, girl will call man who's older than them oppa. Hyung (same meaning but man to man). Thats y kyuhyun and yesung quite shy when they requested to being called as oppa since the kids is much way younger than them 🤣

whn i first watched SJ after so many kpop groups with 5-7 members i thought it should be very hard to be member of such a group with so much members (however after i watched them i abondoned other groups right away :D)

All these songs have mvs since they are title tracks. 🥰 SUJU has lots of MVs if would be nice if you could maybe slowly react to the mvs in chronological order. They usually have 1 MV per album and another for the repackaged versions. They also had SM Station MVs that were released because they were part of SMTOWN albums. I know seventeen makes quite a lot of their choreography, sometimes working together with choreographers or course. They are called self producing idols.

i think they are saying they are getting modern is not quiet right. they change as the time changes that's all. they did what was done at that times and they are doing what is been doing today. they are just doing what it is in music industry for the time. if you ask me i can still listen their old songs without thinking they are old style. (and i think for my country the songs from old times 10 time better then today)

For the record, when they talk about age, they use Korean age, which is about a year or so more than their international age (date they were born) because Koreans add on the time you are in the womb, and then some.

Korean age system.... You are considered one-year-old when you're born. Then all us Koreans turn one year older on January first but celebrate their birthdays on the actual date they were born whether it be using the Lunar calendar or the Gregorian calendar. For example, if a baby is born on December 31st, he's already a year old. Then the next day, January 1st, the baby turns 2. Even thought the baby was just born, the next day he's already 2 according to our age system. I know it gets confusing.

I watched this odg's eps few times and just realised they didnt react to the second album dont don (i wonder why) Here, we only got 8 album from idk 12? I mean U 2006 only single, and Devil was not an official album (it was special album for their 10th anniversary) they didnt react to the 7th album (the red hair was absent due to military) and their 8th (2 members here also absent due to military after the red hair comeback)
