Donghae (the one recording with his phone) likes to record the members to his enjoyment. He usually don't share those videos but watch them when he is bored. 😂
The member recording from the phone was Donghae. Sometimes he films the members and doesn’t post it, only for keepsakes and memories. On occasion though, he and some other members have uploaded behind the scenes videos for other MVs and practices for SJ projects and their own personal projects before on their own personal RU-vid channels.
There is a possibility Donghae's "Happy New Year" meant Lunar New Year, which is on 1-Feb this year. And thanks for the reaction of SuJu videos again 💙
I’m so glad you like suju’s things too : ) I want to recommend SJ’s MV from 2014 called “This is Love”, it was directed by one of the members Shindong (who also did Burn the Floor) and it’s always been a huge fan favorite because of the monochrome colors, transitions and performance. Would 100% be hyped to see you provide your analysis on it!
They filmed this somewhere in January and Koreans tend to greet people from Jan up to Lunar New Year in Feb with Happy New Year. I think the color change from cold blue to warm yellow kinda reflected the concept of cold wintry heart slowly receiving spring's warmth. They were probably going after that
I think it's Lunar New Year (beginning of february. But again, February is still winter there. I love these type of behind the scenes videos, they are very goofy but professional when its time to work. I wonder if you will see D&E 10th anniversary special video behind the scene they did pretty interesting stuffs there like explosions and things xD

Thank you for doing this reaction, SJ’s members are so close to each other, the chemistry between them are soooooo good. For filming the MV, usually they did it in 2 days max and filming overnight is very common. If you watch making of their other MVs, you would find this out. Their working schedule is crazy.

Few members tested positive weeks bfore release so I think thqt could b 1 reason y it was delayed..but even d day bfore d release Ryeowook tested positive as well so he wasn't able to join their comeback live in YT & 1st comeback stage..luckily, he got better sooner & was able to join d nxt stages..well, they've been doing these for 17 yrs now even w/ much low tech back then so u cam totally see that professional side..also, I think w/ d staff since some could have been w/ them for yrs now..d connection & all . Yup, brotherhood..some members have been together for more than 30 yrs now includimg trainee days..lyk d duo, d&e who net in 2001 (if I'm not mistaken), they were 14/15 back then (depends on d month coz Eunhyuk's born on April while Donghae on Octover).. They mess w/ each other a lot..imagine if they did d whole mv together..haha.. They've got a lot of other behind the scenes even w/ older mvs too..actually, they have this reality show since 2017, every tym they have a comeback, they do SJ Returns - shkws alll d behind frm planning d comeback to recording to filming d MV to photoshoot..u might wanna see that in ur patreon..if elfs could help u w/ thst..hihi.. It's so cool to know all d behind specially that they r closely involved w/ d production of things..jat lyk in SJ 2ya2yao whose director was Shindong same w/ Danger of D&E...even concert VCRs & stages since 2014 often done by Shibdong & Eunhyuk.. Jst wanna tell u that to ket u know that most SJ members r part of d behind staff too at times..mostly - Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Yesung & Leeteuk..but generally, they r all involved w/ planning concepts & choosing songs..they've achoeved that freedom aftr working so hard to get to that success point..frm solos to grp ones.. Also, u saw how spot on in often 1 take was it for K.R.Y. (kyuhyun, ryeowook, yesung) coz they r d ones most used to these tyle of concepts coz as a unkt, they r a vocal/balad unit & even as solo artists, they do mostly ballads but not all.. Siwon is d top actor so 1 take..haha.. Heechul is used to doing variety shows a lot so maybe it's a bit hard to get into a serious character ryt away esp aftr dking this aftr a while & as he grew older, he's been more shy doing this..haha..cute! they made a song that was slow an done millions times different , fresh i think it is my fav balled . even the mv it was not look how cool this is , no it was art in a form of an mv . the cloths wear softer on their body even the colors so it was calming . compared to many kpop songs where hip hop and dark colors and loud beats ,i love those but you get tired . this was like yeah breath in breath out

Thank you for your detailed reaction, I enjoyed it very much. Just a little feedback, perhaps you could react to how well the MV is conveying the emotions or complementing the lyrics (cuz sometimes I fell like they’re out of place), especially for the so called ballads like this. Callin talks about how a persons heart is warming up after a long while and is now ready to fall in love again. Hence, I believe they strategically chose to release in March just as the weather warms up so as the mix of warm and cool tones. P.S. suju’s behind the scenes can sometimes be seen on reality shows, members’ vlogs (Ryeowook used to film quite a bit) even if there isn’t an official one and they have a dedicated comeback show called SJRETURNS for their proper comebacks. This is more of them loving the song so much they released it as a single.
as some one who listen to kpop for years it is hard to give a fresh sound to songs . the older generation give me that bc they already dont what younger groups did from the young generation i think soloist shine way better for me bi , lee hi , mino and so on
