Kids Ride Shotgun Review - The most fun bike seat for your kid? 

I have that seat and also the new one. The new seat is a lot better, in every single way. Both are great at get out with the little one for some quality time in the forest. Loving it. I also had the feva star seat, but that one sucked.

I bought the new pro version recently. Had an amazing time with my son at the weekend on trails. 100% reccommend

Greetings from Germany. I got the seat on my 2021 Focus Jam 6.9 Nine (E-Mtb) and my 3 year old loves is. At first he doesn't wanted to sit on it, I think because of the height, but one ride he just tipped his balance bike over and sat down and didn't want to go anywhere. So I just grapped him and sit on and really just 10 seconds later he laughed and screamed I'm the leader and faster, faster. Now he stands up and rings the bell and tells other people and riders to get out of the way, because he is the fastest. You're absolutely right it is an eye-catcher and everyone is looking and laughing. The first version fitted my bike, so it might fit other e-bikes, I had to go for it, and not the pro, because all my cabel go into the stem and down the spacers so no chance for the new one. I highly recommend it, it is amazing and you can leave the trailer at home. My 6 year old got pretty fast annoyed of his brother being so slow on his balance bike and you can't have both enjoy a day on the bike. One thing I highly recommend is a dropper post, mounting the kid and stopping is so much easier with one.

I missed out on this! When I saw one of these on a trip it was too late, my youngest was already 4. I used a Thule for most of the toddler years but I would have loved this seat! Great review, you and your kids will have great memories of your setup for years to come

I made one myself and my daughter loves it. Really easy and cheap to do and faster to put on and geht off. And she never needed any support wheels, too 😍 and really fun that you talk to her while riding. better than a trailer

Why do parents joke around that their "life is over" when they have kids? I have three kids and one more coming and they've given me so much joy and purpose, I look back at my 20s and wish I had kids way sooner.

We love it. But have you seen their new one? That one is even better. Doesn't clamp on the top tube so a bit more clearance for their little legs+feet. You can mount and dismount the seat easier. One of my favorite mtb purchases. We can now ride with the whole fam.

Proudly designed in New Zealand. We got one for our Grandson for Xmas, they don’t fit e bikes as down tube too wide for the clamp. Hopefully there’s something in the pipeline specifically for e bikes.

My kids 5 now and wish we had something like that since she refuses to ride her bike.

Which gopro mount did you use for the handlebar? My kid also loves the shotgun seat and hope to record our rides.

Didn't this stuff exists since forever? Foot placement was at the fork, when I rode with my dad.

Great review - any tips for getting yourself on and off without bumping your kid forward? I just installed this on my MTB and we enjoyed the ride but I felt pinched between my daughter and my saddle, which made mounting/dismounting my bike a little tricky. Thanks!

I got the seat handle bar combo. My son loves it and asks to go riding with me. Maybe a few more months and he’ll be to big for it, but we’ve had some great memories. It’s like he’s on a ebike, since he doesn’t have to pedal 😉. Had to throw a jab to ebikes 😂. I’m sure I’ll make the switch soon too. It’s inevitable.

How tall was your daughter in this video? I would like to get this to ride with my daughter. She just turned three years old.

I like the macride better. Since it attaches at the headube and seatpost it doesn't touch the frame. It is also really adjustable.

Dad of 2 young kids here so forgive me for this question and putting fun 2nd 🙈😂! I have a very expensive freeride carbon frame so just wondering about the potential for a frame to be cracked. I'm so going to hell 😂

Does it leave scratch mark on your frame over time?

Is a seat with the price of two bikes. To much for me. Anyway love the video and love your little one having fun.
