Ravenhuh Zers Oh my god, Illidan just pulled the planet. Stick to the plan. Stick to the plan. Am I lagging guys? I can't move. More demons respawning. More respawning. Cast divine intervention. I'm trying! Illidan you are just stupid as hell. "Least I have chicken." -Illidan
Sargeras: " WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR THE SON OF ARTHAS, BUT ALSO ILLIDAN BUT ALSO ME!? AND WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE 20 FOOT HORSE COCKS! O GOD I THINK IM GOING TO JUST STAB MYSELF!"
um, actually if ou knew the lore you would know that Illidan is perfectly capable of seeing through the band, which is dipped in demon blood and allows him to identify hidden demons. Maybe if you didn't waste your time commenting on shit you don't know about and actually picked up a wow lore book or idk PLAYED THE GODDAMN GAME you would know that fucking idiot lol jk that was hilarious and also i have no clue if what i said is true i played wow for like 1 month only xD

"After getting all the pillars of creation, that was the LAST thing I expected you to do, Illidan!" "I guess you could say... you were not prepared for that."
Josh Huston demon hunters would love to go to argus. Permadeath to demons now. You see demons regenerate back in the twisting nether but if killed in there they are perms dead. Now we can perms kill the demons
Caio Diogo Feels like after you defeated Kil'jaeden besides having Argus appear in the sky, all Wardens NPCs should be in a permanent state of face palm.
"Ok guys this is the plan, we get the five pillars of creation and then seal the portal in the Tomb to stop the Legion!" Illidan:"Understood, let's open the most gigantic portal connecting Azeroth with a world full of demons." "What? NO!"
Upon touching Kil'jaeden's forehead, it almost looked like Velen granted him a sense of Peace before he finally died. Peace within himself, and a satisfying answer for the tyrant he once called his brother. This cinematic is so, so great!
reason being is that Kil´jaeden was once the best friend and one of the main rulers of eredar race whom were corrupted by Sergaras and he believed that Sergaras wanted to purify them with knowledge and sentient actions but instead he intended to corrupt them... talking about the Velen´s vision he meant the one where he saw Sergaras´s truly intentions but they did not hear Velen out nor Archimonde did. As all the creatures controlled and corrupted by their "masters" they eventually freed their mind athe end of their existence and therefore you are absolutely right Kil´jaeden was glad that Velen succeded in defeating the burning legion for good! :)
@@MiggyTheNihilist Well put, Velen was definitely upset when he realized Kil'Jaeden thought it was his only option and he was envious of his best friend. My theory is he used one bit of holy magic when he touched his brow to let him know that Velen may not forget all the destruction, but he definitely forgave his best friend. Kil'Jaeden looked close to tears.
I'm like the rest of you. Always loved this part. See how tense and angry he still is even after being defeated? He was tortured mentally every single day since he chose to make this pact and when velen touches him, his expression completely changes and finally he finds some peace just before dying.
I always was interested by the fact that he started to fall apart more once Velen touched his head. It's as if his bitterness and pride were the only things sustaining him while he was mortally wounded and admitting his fault/reconciling with Velen caused him to let go of those things.
This almost reminds me a lot of transformers the last knight, which features an alien planet moving towards earth, maybe we will hear sargeras say "for my world to live, yours must die"
What's strange is that Sargeras had access to that device Illidan used since... Forever. Maybe it can't actually bring him to Azeroth for whatever reason?
TODAY OUR WORLDS DESTRUCTION HAS BEEN ENDED IN THE VERY DEFIANCE OF OUR MAKERS, AGALON THE OBSERVER, HERALD OF THE TITANS, HAS BEEN DEFEATED IN THE DEPTHS OF ULDUAR. I didn't even have to look it up. Sometimes I like to spam this is goldshire Moonguard
Betrayer... In truth, it was I who was betrayed. Still, I am hunted. Still, I am hated. Now, my blind eyes see what others cannot: that sometimes the hand of fate must be forced! Now go forth... unleash the tides of Doom... Upon all those...who would oppose us.
octapusxft Brox was a badass but not "Summon the fuckin Legion homeworld to Azeroth to force the Alliance and Horde to deal with Sargeras once and for all" badass.
"I never believed that Sargeras could be stopped... Perhaps you will prove me wrong" And then Velen touched his face. I do believe he was sharing the vision of Sargeras' defeat as he used to do with him before KJ became a demon. That moment between these two, beautiful.
Do you know that I would like to think that one day it will happen? As we all know, we defeated Kil'Jaden, when he was defeated in Argus his death is final and he can no longer resurrect, that means that he would have gone to the Shadowlands, directly to the jaws, but, I want to think that when we settle the lawsuit that there is, it can be judged by the Prosecutor and at some point it is sent to Revendred to atone, since if we remember correctly, although he did everything he did, it was out of jealousy and because he thought that the Legion could not be defeated, so, just like Arthas should be sent to Revendred and that his sins are atoned for, seeing how in the cinematic he finally repents and seeing that Velen gave him peace by forgiving him, I think he should be tried too ...
Legion portals were convenient to the Legion. They allowed their forces to reach us while we have a hard time reaching them. Due to the fact that they cannot die in Azeroth and will just respawn, it provided the Legion endless waves of attack where they lose almost nothing. The forces of Azeroth however don't have the same privilege of respawning like demons or our player character. A defensive war achieves nothing but delaying the Legion. It's impossible to compete with an infinitely respawning army in a defensive war unless you cut off their source. You cannot build up your forces faster than this enemy. The portal Illidan opened is convenient for both sides. It lets the Legion attack us at full power but also lets us attack them in full force. Except this time, the demons we kill in Argus are dead for good since they can actually die permanently in places with high amounts of fel energy. This is why the Illidari has always adopted the strategy of going to their planet, killing their leader there and then blowing up that planet. Also if you think about it, this is the strongest our player characters have been. We have legendary artifact weapons and Legionfall is composed of all class factions unified regardless of race. This is also the weakest the legion has been with both Archi and KJ dead. If Illidan didn't open this portal now, you just know Azeroth is going to go back fighting a defensive war in hopes of "rebuilding" faster against an infinitely respawning opponent as if that's possible. Either that or the Alliance and Horde go back to bickering again. So he forces everyone to fight the war the Illidari way. Go in there and kill them in their home planet OR everyone dies. Is it selfish? Yes but you can't deny it's effective.
Verthras shorter way of saying this illidan forced us to attack argus to destroy them once and forall because the legion is at its weakest point right now and we are at our strongest
Never was a fan of the infinitely respawning, not truly dead, nonsense the introduced to the Legion. They were indeed very killable prior to at least Cata or when they introduced that to the lore. It just seemed like a poor way to reintroduce the Legion.
@@misterbleedinggums Literally any demon who died pre-cata was dead. The spirits of powerful demons would linger and they could be resurrected like anything else but they were quite dead in every other sense of the word. It wasn't until MoP that they introduced the idea that demons exist outside of realities/timelines and could only be killed in specific spots. Numerous times in the books and in WoW is it hinted that the body should be destroyed so that they can never return to a physical form or that if you slay a legion solider they are in fact dead. Multiple times in the War of the Ancients series they talk about how killing demons only puts a tiny dent in the Legions numbers. Many of the demons killed in WC3 and WoW were considered permadead by Blizzard themselves until at least MoP. Mannoroth was a HUGE example of this. Blizzard says not only in WoW but in commentary that Hellscream's sacrifice robbed the Legion of one of their greatest commanders. It was just a lazy way to reuse old villains and Blizzard knows it.
i can only imagine the Maiev Shadowsong reaction : Maiev: congratulations ilidan you've won ... Ilidan smiles... ... you've won another 10 000 years in jail.
Khadgar: "GOD DAMN IT, ILLIDAN!" Illidan: "What? We were going to have to deal with them sooner or later." Khadgar: *turns to Velen* "Did you foresee this!?" Velen: *looks away* "Maaaybe... I mean, it's not like I'm the one who brought him back to life..." Khadgar: -_-
Yeah but even then we all knew it was a stupid ass decision to make but unfortunantly we couldn't NOT make it. Khadgar is to blame for the Legion invasion, he failed when we entered Draenor and he failed to stop Gul'dan from reaching the tomb on Azeroth.
Khadgar: "What have you done?!" Illidan: "I skipped the next content patch." Khadgar: "Velen, can he do that?" Velen shrugs. Illidan: "For this, not even Sargeras was...... prepared." Illidan puts on sunglasses.
" *Rhonin yells:* Citiziens of Dalaran, raise your eyes to the skies and observe." " *Rhonin yells:* Today our world's destruction has been averted in whaaa _aaaAAAA_ *_AAAA THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUU_* "
Pretty remarkable that its still a topic of debate - "What was Velen's gesture toward Kil'Jaeden?' - about a year after the fact. It absolutely wasn't redemption. KJ was far beyond being redeemed. The atrocities he committed were unspeakable over tens of thousands of years. It wasn't really absolution either...there was no finality of Kil'Jaeden's ultimate goal that Velen would have needed to acknowledge here. Forgiveness? Maybe. There may have been some at least SOME hint of forgiveness here. Velen clearly understood after all these years exactly why it was that KJ and Arche threw in with Sargeras. KJ pretty much lays it out in that broad statement that he thought Sargeras would've just wiped them all from the face of reality had they not thrown in with him. They wouldn't have been able to stop him, not at that time. What that gesture I believe truly was, though? Acknowledgement. Velen acknowledged KJ's guilt. With just the gesture of his hand, he told KJ "I know." He also acknowledged his own guilt. That gesture also said "I shouldn't have left." KJ's face softened at the touch. He knew that Velen was telling him "We will stop him. Now, you can be at peace." Knowing that Velen was aware of his guilt and that even here, he still showed his brother some modicum of care was enough for him to accept his fate without the standard "Blaaaaarrrrrgh!" of a villain. It was said that for centuries, KJ was angry at Velen for leaving them. That wasn't villainous anger, it was heartbroken anger. Overall, this was a very touching moment in the history of the lore.
Even though Velen doesn't say a single word, his expression and Kil'Jaeden's words and final facial expression say a lot. After thousands of years, they are still brothers and Velen forgives him, despite all the evil he has committed. Beautiful.
Khadgar: "We must find a pillars of creation, build few orderhalls, collect the nethershards, raise our artifact weapons, unite against Gul"Dan, help the Nigtfallen, etc, etc..." Illidan: "Didn't read. LoL"

actually... I think Velen's resentiment is building uo more fast than you imagine. During the exodar invasion he is so pissed of he would have tried to go kill kill jaden itself with the exodar. the death of his son has broken something in is faith. even if we see him so faithfull in the priest order hall, i belive that actually kil'jaden has succed in something at least: breaking Velen conviction. and breaking his conviction for the first time we see velen using another type of magic: I'm not going to say that he used the fel to make kil jaden explode, but surely he used that much of power to make him explode by his own fel. maybe he has just purified him, but still he, actually, killed him
I am glad kil'jaeden got a little closure with Velen 7.3 better be worth the hype they built and not another broken shore that is somewhat boring. I am hoping for a full on war!
haven't they been working on Argus since they announced it a year ago? I hope Argus has a bigger role then what timeless isle/Tanaan jungle has had. there's a lot we could do then just push the legion off the planet and never go back.
They've used similar excuses in the past. Patch 7.2 was extremely underwhelming and hardly contained any content at all, for a multi billion dollar company they shouldn't be making excuses.
Man. In a sense, Kil'Jaeden is a tragic villain. He sold himself to Sargeras because he truly believed that there was no winning against him, and after seeing the forces of Azeroth come so far, and Velen by their side, he see's for the first time that he might just have been wrong.
That's a typical Illidan move for ya: Insanely dangerous, but effective... Much easier access for all of us! Demons can easily reach us and we can easily get to Argus and stop the Legion for good... Much excitement for the invasion of Argus is had! ^_^
so beautiful. kil jaden basicially appologizes to velen in hes last moment, explaining why he joined sargeras. wishing velen and the heroes good luck against sargeras. i think kil jaden was hoping for the heroes to beat the legion in hes last dying moment!
Honestly Illidans actions make perfect sense. First he saw the the legion fully for what it is, tried to stop them and actually contributed a great deal by helping close the portal during war of the ancients. When he took action to preserve his people's immortality he was locked up for 10,000 years. When legion returned he was release as a mere tool of convenience and killed when he became inconvenient. Now he was revived I am sure he is not deluded enough to think things were going to be peachy. If he didn't force that portal open, everyone would think everything is peachy again go back to infighting. Label the next thing illidan does to prepare for legion as "reckless/dangerous" and lock him up or kill him again. Remember when he tried to take out Lick King during frozen throne? he was stopped because there would bystandards casualties which paled in comparison to shit that lich king did after he survived. So all in all, Illidan just put a constant reminder in the sky of the legion and forced a counter attack from Azeroth and created a possibility for Draenei to take back their home land. On a side note: I am hoping Illidan absorbed the power from Gul'dan and Kil'Jaeden so he can go beast mode against argus demons and get their power too. He is a demon hunter after all.
Hello from beneath my rock. I'm a 8 year recovered heroin addict with ptsd & no friends but this ... "world" has become my sanctuary lately. I deeply regret missing out on this culture, spending my life the way i did and not hanging out with the likes of you lads. May we adventure together in another life 🍀
"Sometimes the hand of fate must be forced." People don't even realize this is as much cheese as "You are not prepared", since he said this same thing in Warcraft 3 when he summoned the naga...
can we just appreciate that Khadgar did an inter-planetary teleportation, whether it be just the three of them in the scene or the 20+ adventurers ingame. The man has *earned* the right to be called Medivh's successor, power and wisdom combined.
People saying illidan betrayed them but khadgar was like "welp we ded now" like 2 seconds before. ILLIDAN SAVED EVERYONE'S LIFE. i didn't see Velen complaining either.
For the record, KJ is one of the original ad guys. Before arthas, before illidan, before Sargeras, there was Guldans OG teacher KJ. And when Warcraft 2 came out; he became the legions go to guy. Any bad guy since KJ him is a poser. Besides Sargeras, who was created after him, KJ was the OG Warcraft devil.
I think Illidan's the type of guy who would light your house on fire if you said it was cold. It solves your problem, but creates a whole new set of issues.
Having not played these expansions yet watching videos like this leaves more questions than answers and you can’t find out the answers unless you play them. Smart Blizzard, smart.
@@Shadozer278 Don't be too proud of this army of minions you've amassed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
I see a lot of comments talking about how Velen reacted to Kil'Jaeden. My own personal opinion is he didn't feel retribution, anger, sorrow, or felt like he was redeemed, I think he just felt pity for him. It just feels the most in-character. He can't forgive him for being an evil PoS, but can still feel bad his friend chose that route.
The significance of Khadgar’s line: “at least we will have died fighting” is that this is the exact opposite of what Kil’Jaeden did when he met Sargeras. Khadgar is basically calling KJ a coward.
