Just a comment on making the nematode mixture. The instructions say to mix a stock solution in a bucket and then to use a tenth of the stock solution in a five litre watering can, topping up with water. Your video shows you making the stock solution in a watering can and then applying the stock solution without further dilution to the lawn. Following the steps in your video would mean using ten times the recommended amount of nematodes. Of course I appreciate that the users should read the instructions carefully for themselves.

Hello, First off I think your garden videos are spot on keep them up. Before do my last cut for the year and add some lawn 4 in 1 , would applying the nemasys prior be a good idea ? if so how long between applying and cutting the grass? Thank you =)

Excellent video, thank you for shade the tips. Our front yard lawn is full of brown patches and is pretty much all dead now, I did see flock of birds last year feasting happily in our lawn and have seen loads of leather jackets. We are currently renovating it anyhow by ripping off current lawn, rotavating, adding top soil and then the new turf layed. So do you suggest all these renovation steps should take care of the leather jackets which are still there or do you suggest we still treat with nematode before new turf is laid out this time?

Good video. I laid a new lawn last year after moving in to my new house, which from the looks of it once had a lawn that was left to completely die. Through summer and into winter it was lookjng amazing... A year later it is April/May and I began to notice this quite prominently, so I have given this a bash. What made up my mind was noticing a dead crane fly stuck to my dishwasher - mere metres from the garden. I hope this works or I'm getting AstroTurf 🤣🤣🤣 I don't know if this is related but last year there were dandelions everywhere. So far this year I am yet to see a single one, yet all the greassy areas and verges on my street and near my house are covered in them.

I had large patches of yellowing of my grass throughout my lawn and about 30-40 starlings and blackbirds pecking at the grass all day long. Used two packets of this just under two weeks ago. I’ve kept up keeping the soil moist and I think it’s worked, no longer see them crawling on my patio, birds still there though I think they’re getting the dead ones out. I pulled a square of turf out and there was a couple in there but they was completely dead and not moving at all so I figured it’s worked!

Great video. Never seen so many leather jacket infestations as this year. I believe it is due to the mild wet winter we had in this area. I am also using a product called nemaflo which is a adjuvant to aid the nematodes in penertrating the soil. I wonder how fertiliser, iron & herbicides effect the nematodes?

Chafer grubs have absolutely destroyed my lawn to the point that the turf has lifted away from the soil. How many days after the application of the nematodes do you have to keep watering the lawn for? Also, how long are you watering for as well?

Hello, Thank you very much for sharing this information. Just quick back ground: My lawn was not doing good in some area so I though it was because this fall under shadded area. Last autum season I saw "leatherjacket" But I thought it was some kind on earthworm so I didn't bother but in last week I was watching your video for Lawn edging and you menstion about "leatherjacket" very brifly and I picked up the name from there and google it. Than realise this is the main cause my lawn is not doing good. So Thank you thank you very much for this help. Now I decide to use Shade and sun Lawn which I ordered and received too and I change my mind before I add this NEW lawn seeds can I terat my soil/land with "Nemasys leatherjacket killer" in bare soil before any seeding? OR "Nemasys leatherjacket killer" is ONLY APPLY after Lawn is properly/Fully establish? Or will you share how should I terat my soil before lawn seeding to kill this? (FYI:- I have a three year daughter and she love to go in gardern so I do not want to use something which is Unsafe to her)

Hi there - Great video - I have just lost all our lawn to Leatherjackets as we have finally found out the cause now that we can see holes over where the lawn was and leatherjackets on the paths in the morning. I have just ordered 4 packs of this Nematodes so intend to treat the area where the lawn was - I have already reseeded but still no sign of germination - Will this treatment damage the seed that I have applied? I have seen aeration is required so will fork the whole of the area this weekend. Is there anything else I can do? Suck a shame that I am now looking at a large dirt area rather than my nice green lawn !!

I have reseeded my lawn 2 weeks ago and getting some great results, I hand pulled the weeds before reseeding now with new grass, weeds are also growing fast, so you think I can apply weed and feed after 1st mow, I am planning to mow once new grass is about 4 inches? Nice video. I over-seeded my lawn not long ago and the grass won’t start coming up for a few days yet. The existing lawn is starting to get long and I don’t want it to shade out the new grass, can I mow it now or will it disrupt or pull up the seed?

Hi there, interesting video.... I have asked a similar question on premiere lawns channel but was wondering as based in the SE in the UK is it about the right time to apply this product now? Or wait for longer? I have this problem I'm pretty sure of it as a lot of my grass both front and rear mysteriously died off this year. Also last year I noticed particularly around dusk extended crane fly activity around my ankles in the grass... Possibly laying there eggs. I have already reseeded a lot of the bald areas with fast start grass but nothing has come up yet. Cleaned and scarified prior to seeding and haven't watered due to the ground still being wet. Took temp of the ground a couple of days ago stated 10 degrees by my old compost thermometer. Any comments welcome. Thanks in advance. 😁👍

Shouldn't you apply nematodes in the evening or on an overcast day?

I've only got a small lawn so if I put the whole lot over the lawn in one 5l watering can sweep, this wont do any harm will it? Also it says to put the nematodes into a bucket with 5l water then transfer 0.5l into a can with 5 litres of water but you didnt do this? does this not need to be done?

I had an infestation of these last year (hundreds of crane flys appeared from the lawn in a single day at the end of the summer). My lawn is now in a real mess and I'm planning to overseed in the next few weeks. Is it best to apply Nemasys before or after I do this?

Hi, I am planning to overseed my small back garden because it’s getting thinner and weaker and I think I have leatherjacket issue and slugs in the lawn. In the UK because of the mild winter weather grubs in the lawn are getting to be a problem. The bigger the problem the easier the cure , Nematodes once applied will live in the soil for years and breed, so if you don't kill them with other lawn treatments there will be no need to re treat every year, money well spent.
