I've never played 40k or any of its relatives. There's no one near me that plays 40k or any of its relatives. My son and I are painting battletech so we can try to play that for the first time. But yet here I am trying to figure out how much time I have on my commute so I can start listening to your videos before I drive to work.
Everyone is SLEEPING on the new Soul Shackle terrain. These destroyable walls add SO much more depth to ITD; after having played 2 Soul Shackle games, I couldn't imagine playing without them ever again.
I'm just super disappointed that it's all the same looking walls, missed an awesome opportunity to make slightly varied terrain that works together to make a space hulk amalgamation of different species ships
Shields Guys are probably the best operatives in the bunch, the shield rules (AV 3+, always first to attack, doubling parries) make those guys very survivable. You can use them to lock opponents in CC easily, if you give them cuffs, they can shut down any 7PV operative in the game in one fight. I really really think you should use 3-4 of them in the 11 count.
Double check your interpretation of the glow sticks rule. I'm not very familiar with KillTeam but if it's like big 40k- Modifying a dice is NOT the same as re-rolling. Modifying is getting a +/-1, rerolling is called out separately in rules.
It made my morning that the subtitles thought "Drukhari" was "Drew Cary." Welcome to EoB where the content is made up and the army points don't matter.
To be clear, From Darkness Death isn't at the start of the Turning Point. It's at the start of that operatives activation - so the opponent doesn't know who you're going to pick until you do, and it makes it way easier to get this effect. And its absolutely awesome and brutal and I love using it lol
Hey :) Im really interessted into tryiong killteam and u seem to love what u do so i hope u can help me :D Im really not sure wich pack i should buy what do u think is more worth it? Into the Dark or Soulshackle? From what i see one has doors to open and the others have walls to explode... and from both packs i like the Humans more but the enemy side i dont like XD i mean the best for me would be the Humans from Soulshackle and the Green guys from into the dark but that is sadly not possible haha... can u help me with the choice? my local shop has from both just one haha.... and if i have later both packs can i combine the walls from both packs to make a bigger map?
Hey man, of those two get Into the dark, because it also contains rules, tokens and everything else you need to get started. Soulshackle is basically an expansion set for Into the Dark
I think the power from pain or whatever it's called is better the way it is personally, as it allows counterplay. Being able to target the operative that has the token is good for both players, since the drukhari player can try and get tokens on the less important players in order to make their important units less of a target, and the other player can eliminate units with tokens to prevent extra shenanigans. I think that if they made it into a pool of tokens then it would really just be a "win more" mechanic, as there would be zero counterplay.
I will say I thought the arbites were cool solely because I want to do a RCMP style paint job. When the kits release separately I'll probably pick them up then.
The reason why you wouln't take the dark lance is that you can only take 2/3 of the Dark Weapons, meaning you would have to sacrifice the pistol on your archsybarite, or the blaster on your gunner. That unwieldy makes it too much of a chore to use; when a blaster at 5/6 AP 2 is more than enough to delete something just as well as the Dark Lance.
When I got my box and rifled through the instruction I kinda groaned when I had seen that its another human faction that cannot build all of its specialists from one box without conversions. You have to decide between a dude that boosts the doggo or the medic. Fortunately you can field the dog without the leashmaster, if I understand the rules correctly. But yeah, that's another KT thing that goes on the list of "get another box to have more options"
The ploy with preventing your opponent from doing scouting action is toxic as fck. I thought they crossed "asshole play" line with Gellerpox, but this is even worse. As to shooting into combat, I always claimed that it should be an option with a caveat that BS is worsened by 1 and all misses are allocated as hits to a friendly operative.
Im frothing at the mouth for when they release them solo, I dont care about Dark Eldar or the Terrain at all, but the models look SO GOOD! and I want my DOGGO!
Honestly, it sounds like the Drukhari got a solid new team, with fun new tactical ploys, and a specific type of play in mind. Arbites just seem busted for the sake of it. I have been on the fence about this box set and tbh, this just puts me off, I want to have fub, not make my opponent annoyed at my every (obvious, and game-braking) decision. I rather have a team with flaws and a fun theme than a team that just... wins ig.
More op dlc. Gotta keep the nubs on the p2w treadmill. Don't worry the next dlc pack will be completely underwhelming but have two super popular factions with really cool new toys at a 10% price hike.
The rules look like a ton of fun, but Drukkhari models don't do it for me and I'm not willing to spend GW prices for models I don't like. Maybe its time to make a "stimmed up escher gang" as proxies...
I think you are misinterpreting Contain Threat. Its actually very hard to score for you, because the opponent just has to leave 6 in of their deployment zone to deny you points...which is probably what most teams are going to want to do anyways to try and score objectives.
The two tac ops called out as OP sounds like they're really bad? You can barely ever prevent the opponent from having someone more than 6" from their Deployment zone, and you probably can't keep the ops alive till end of game for Gather Evidence without surrendering the match
GW releasing OP rules for new-new models? What a shocker! Anyways glad to see some are still entertained by the same old GW shenanigans...my favorite being the squats where they publicly apologized for being too GW.
