It's a shame none of them realized how much better/more difficult the Swedish drummer's solo was than the other dude. Dude is insanely talented and had a great personality.
@antro_oner I mean, though he wasn’t doing it on the way like Slaughter to Prevail or infant annihilator does on his cuntcrusher lol, but he deff had a lil aspect of it going on there it seemed. Either way I thought it was pretty obvious his solo was much better tbh. What’s crazy is the amount of people even in the comments trying to say his was horrible and that he clearly lost were. Like I thought it was pretty freaking obvious who won and who lost this solo lol. Which if we see no matter what, unless Aaron Kitcher himself was to show up and do it himself he’d win based on the bias of the crowd sadly.
I have been digging into back KT episodes: when Eric first hit the stage, I did a double-take thinking it was that Opera singer dude in the local shirt. BOTH are very talented musicians!
@@Chickenkoops all the little things add up! Placement, height, and angle of the toms, snare, and cymbals! Getting used to the foot pedal too, and I don’t have my hihat open too much. I love my 7A wood tip sticks and feel that I play better than when I use thicker. I feel the SMALLEST adjustments or movements on a drumset. All these can throw me off pretty well without first taking some time to hit everything and adjust myself.
Don't you find this very conspiritual and sussy baki of you that we got a dutch-arabic shooter wearing what seems like a pizza delivery guy uniform on a spree that is off looking for swedish people to murder in brussels right this very moment and your prediction of this 7 days ago is spot on? Lock this man up 😱😱😱
He very much did the best job, but Michael technically won because the audience is invested in keeping the resident drummer. There’s been a handful of times when a professional drummer has came on and performed better than Joel and I think one other time when somebody outdid Michael, but they never beat them due to the applause being the deciding factor.
My school bus got run off the road into a creek when i was in 4th grade and Eric saved all 27 children, the bus driver AND our 200kg bus aid. The man is a saint and more kindness radiates from Eric than any human I've ever met.
I remember this. I was driving home from work driving on I-75 and on exit 3 when I saw the bus submerged off pleasant creek grove bridge I knew something bad happened. Eric is a hero. A true Saint.
This. D Madness called it out too lol. The house drummer, Gonzalez, even knew dude had him beat when they panned over to him. XD They're not going to tell someone to randomly move to play drums for them though. You know they turned up the volume for house drummer and rigged the results too lol. Which is fine, because everyone knows who really won so it's fine 🤣
@mdrieber I agree it's all fanfare, but it's still cool that this show will randomly do drum battles. Tony should do like a cash prize if you beat the drumer or something like that. But unfortunately just liying to people is probably easiest at this point.
if you listen the applause it's like 1000x more after he's done vs. the "vote." doesn't matter anyway though they're not gonna actually ditch the resident drummer live onstage. literally everyone knows who won tho
That swedish guy is probably some famous drummer in his home country and was too humble to brag about it. His set was so clean and he did it on a random drum set up
The funny thing as a swede is that hes probably unknown, we have so many insanely good metal bands here its crazy. And its just not metal bands we export so much music to the world. We love music :D
That Swedish drummer made the kick sound like it had a double bass pedal. Absolutely insane. Had to re watch a few times. Been a fan long enough to know any contender will not win that battle, but this guy was absolutely the 1st to win in my book. You guys should keep Michael Gonzalez and have that guy sub!
Swedish guy definitely won the drum off… for Austin being the live music capital of the world you would think it’s inhabitants would know at least one thing about good quality music 😂🤦🏻♂️
Bro. Are you stupid? It's a comedy show and the in house drummer has won 100% of the drum offs. There's probably a reason for that. It's a comedy show, please remember that. I know its hard for you to see the funny in that, but its there, I promise you. I laughed at you, anyways.
I love how shane acts like the older brother to all the comedians that go up, he’ll for sure make fun of them but will defend them when someome gets too mean 😂
I’m a drummer and can say that Eric the Swedish guy has real solid techniques that would take a long time and a lot of practice to master. His solo may not sound easy listening or catchy, but I liked it because it sounded “musical” to the ears. I don’t think Tony wanted this to be a real drum off but more like a fun challenge for drummers who come on the show.
Seriously. Have only watched maybe 3 other drum offs but I’m seriously impressed. If the stakes weren’t so high eric would’ve won but no one was gonna let him replace Gonzales
@@clevermissfox yeah I mean think he did beat him but logistically not possible for him to take the gig. But he won, first time I can say the challenger did that.
Mark is a Legend. He's one of the best Comics I have ever seen. He's not another "Comedian activist" dude comes with punchlines about anything. Not a political lecturer.
Don’t kill his aspiration to do comedy, dude came from Sweden to do this. Let him get comfortable with failure so he can come up with some real heat. Dude has a great personality!
Technically, Erics solo was so much more difficult to pull off. but the crowd/fans just went with the loyalty vote. Any musician knows who won. hopefully Tony realizes this
Drum solo had my jaw on the floor litterally the best drumming In the history of the 11 year long show. Joel and micheal have never even come anywhere near what this man just did.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve listened to his special and his 4 parter with Louie. My favorite line from the presidents podcast is when Louie says Cronkites serious line when jfk was shot, and Shane just says “sports”. I laugh every time
If only McCuscker received as much recognition, the 432hz Shaman will have his day in the sun at some point but I'm glad Shane has been elevated in the public conscious
i dont understand why people like him . help me understand send me a clip or something . i have seen him recently on the JRE and TheoVons podcast and he seems so .. boring . . and ill give him a break on this show i understand he was drinking alot but everyone else just seemes so far on another level from him with great energy funny and quick wittyness
As a dude who works in a warehouse and enjoys short walks on the beach and some mid weed every now and then, that swedish chef muppet killed it on the drums.
@@047Kenny lmao I like mid weed! The high octane shit goes too hard. I can't be taking two puffs and go to sleep for 4 hrs, I've got activities to do. 😂
Erik won that drumoff without question.. Michael has the home kit advantage and a rehearsed solo. Erik did not and clearly could have kept going but stopped out of modesty. He's the best to ever compete for sure.
If you’re a drummer or any kind of musician, you know that the Swedish dude won. Very biased, Tony definitely motivated the audience to yell louder for the house drummer, who of course is also an amazing drummer! 😊 But of course, Swedish guy’s a far better drummer, and I think the Kill Tony Drummer knew it too.
except for in this case when they are having an actual drum off to get crowd opinion on the subject contained within that timeframe. obviously comparison is the death of all joy and whats best is if they play together. entertainment is filthy at best. @@JordanHigginsGuitar
@@JordanHigginsGuitar ....if we're in a guitar battle then yes its literally a competition lol. thats the only point of the battle, to decide a winner. im so confused by this statement even though agree with it, its just not applicable in this scenario. It would be like watching the NBA and saying "fitness isnt a competition." yes, youre right, it isn't under normal circumstances...except we're watching a league who's entire meaning for existence is to make a competition out of fitness
@@KumoGoesFastI was gonna type something like this but over time I’ve learned to just let less intelligent people say what they want in the comments. Waste of energy lmao
The Swedish guy had more potential then they gave him credit for, it can take a while to get real laughs. Serious drummer chops as well, one of the best I’ve seen on the show.
@@frankwhite7878 blows my mind Hans Kim opens for joe rogan. Both of them aren’t funny so it make sense but it makes me feel like if Hans and joe can be a comic any retard could
such a nice guy, he was obviously extremeley nervous he even forgot he said he was a drummer in his intro. i thought it was a good representation of norrbotten :D
3:56 Shane Gillis + Mark Normand 6:04 Hans Kim 12:27 Eric Edlan 🇸🇪🥁 24:32 Bear Badeaux 🎤 37:46 Michael Lehrer 47:54 Bud Galloway 57:05 Trae Pack 1:06:38 Tonale De Azlan 1:17:13 Joe Bigly 1:25:01 William Montgomery
Eric killed that solo as EVERYONE in the comments pointed out, and Mark Normand is one of the goats for real RIP MICHAEL so sad to see a true great go. Amazing $#!+ that guy did, was such a pleasure to watch ❤
@@Joemondaking yeah I’ve also done it but that was my point it’s like a child fit then you grow up and you’re like yooo this is not it. But apparently Shane was like yoooo this shit still fire 😂 I’m not hating on it comfort comes first
Shane Gillis is a freaking animal, I can’t believe dudes still putting down bud lights at another podcast after already drinking ari into a coma on rogan. And holding it together. Huge props
Shane was just drinking to not fall asleep by this point... Would've been a much better episode if he was actually fresh and not just waiting to get to go pass out after killing Ari 😄 Mark was basically sober all day and night playing that long game... Not a true freedom fighter like Shane 🍺🇺🇲 (also known as a domestic terrorist) 🤔
I agree. Eric won the drum solo... under pressure and going first. the crowd was biased... but that's to be expected. they were both excellent. hopefully someday we see a drummer so talented that they have to actually go through the process of following the rules of the Mexican Drum Off.
yeah its pretty rigged, Erik was (if you are a drummer) so much cleaner and technical. But the crowd is biased like you said. I like that alot of these comments are recognising this like we are.
@@JessedoespooI’m not even a drummer and I mostly listen to hip hop but wow it was impressive the regular is amazing too just this guy got him honestly
Erik deserves another drum off. He was in a whole other league as a drummer and he could adapt to the audience next time and just make them understand the actual difference. It is a big one
I lost my dad to ALS at 17, watching Michael brought me back to when he still had his voice. God bless him in his courageous battle, ALS is the most wicked disease on the planet.
I went from not even knowing who Shane was 2yrs ago, to now he's become my fav comedian and podcast guest, hands down!! He KILLS it every time and should def be the Bud Light spokesperson by now lol
@@dustinbailey9644 not true at all!! There's plenty of comedians that people know well but arent their fav, then they take it to a whole other level and become someone's fav comedian. It's completely unique in comedy to come out of nowhere and become such a big star so quickly. Clearly ur a young kid and just dont know any better yet
Mullet man was damn impressive. That dude got heattttt from Tony and he handled that shit like an absolute boss. I'm not saying his rap was good by rap standards, but the dude is a nobody comic and commercial (rarely) actor right? He said he was in like a punk rock band and then immediately had to spit a freestyle with 0 noise behind him for like the first 8 bars.
@@seanneumann5790 It’s kind of Tony’s job to make it look like whoever he brings on stage that they’re not supposed to be there. But when they look like they belong up there, it just ends up making him look foolish. Kind of a gamble. But it’s his show.
His comedy also had legs as they say... unlike his wife and that former UFC Champion who got to Make A Wish™️. That heavy roller has some very funny jokes though, shame about gods vengeance in all truth.
That mullet dude actually had better quality jokes than the majority of ppl who audition on Kill Tony. Also did amazingly well on the rapping. All of that only for Normand to follow up with the Kid Rock joke that I don’t even want to type out lmfao Bravo 👏
He definitely won, and Tony knew it so he didn't even ask the audience about Erik's solo. Kinds took the appeal out of a "drum off". Just lose the fake stakes and let them actually compete.
Eric killed it! Michael got blown out of the water (by people who actually understand the complexities of what Eric was doing vs Michael. No contest Tony!
I hope the Swedish guy (Eric Edlin) tries to make at least one more attempt on the mic because when he does mess up his comedy he picks himself back up very nicely ❤️ I almost thought the mess ups were part of the bit.
