@@deadheart9862you can definitely still take stuff to far in a roast or just be straight mean instead of mean in a funny way, the whole idea of a roast is that comedy helps people deal with criticism and insults better when it's formed into a joke.
Very observant, I think the best display of that was Their on Logan's shitty podcast. They really were trying to be shitty to him and he looked uncomfortable but stayed cool as a cucumber and held his own. It was very impressive
@@IDoNotLikeMyAlgorithm because its tits but jumbled around, the way a dyslexic person would see it. I think the fact that he said it normal once kind of killed it. I love theo and the dyslexic version was super funny but the first one just kind of came across creepy and/or out of place.
Theo trying to come up with genuine questions for the guests and then looking disappointed in himself because he thinks it's a shit question is probably the sweetest thing that's ever happened on this show. What a good egg.
Holy hell, at 37:10 when he says he's the German kind of Hispanic, the band starts playing a marching beat interpolated with Latin horns. That's hilarious
Theo is so polite, dude. It's refreshing to have a guest who can be funny without constantly trying to just roast with jokes that miss half of the time. He's a funny guy. Hope he's doing well.... also, Ellis Aych fucking killed it...
@@dannys9074 I thought it was a genuine question considering how terrifying it is taking stage solo. Theo being an ex addict probably wanted some of that second hand rushhhh. 🤣
Theo is the perfect balance for kill tony because of how respectful and kind he tries to be when the guest is being absolutely roasted. I wanna see more of theo on here 😂😂
Theo is such a catch. He's a real good hearted dude that's funny AF! He's a gift to the world of comedy! Whoever steals his heart, is going to be one lucky girl. Big love for you Theo!
@@katiemarkusson715 haha no I’m saying Theo literally said “wait when do they do that”. Referring to the drum off. Then Tony said right now and he was stunned 😂
I really love the fact that they interview them after. I feel like they loosen up mostly and really show how funny they are without the pressure and time
Yeah there has been people who bomb so bad over the years but in the interviews are super likeable and funny, they just aren't comics. Is just a great show.
Yea, its funny too cuz a lot of htem bomb in their minute (because lets face it, 1 minute is not a lot of time, especially if you're saying jokes with a little backstory) and the interview gives them a lot of time to sprinkle more jokes and personality in there.
I do too, plus they get to feel out those whom actually enjoy and want to do comedy, vs the "I'm just trying it out/thought it'd be easy" type of people
@@jackkawf4449 agreed! Plus my favorite part about it is you see their personality or at least what they portray. Plus the first minute is just joke mode. Most of the time its not who they really are. They all signed up that one night because they think they are funny but oddly it sometimes ends up being the interview way more funny.
I had a roommate that told me he was into ´horse girls’. He also told me that cheese didn’t need to be refrigerated because it’s ‘already mold’. I wish they could find each other and not ride off into the sunset together.
@@FartInYourFace234 nahhh theo isn’t racist at all he just seems like someone whose extremely curious and just wants to understand but comes off a little naive sometimes but 100% isn’t racism
So funny watching Theo totally fail to get William's sarcastic humor. "My crock pot is plugged in 24/7 for months" "Uhhh, that's probably a space heater".
Right? I’m pretty vocally not a fan of Ellis but he did great this episode and I’m happy for him. Hopefully he can keep it together and carry the momentum forward in his next appearances.
Yeah.. when he said “I play guitar, bass, drums, mandolin” I was like ahh cool okay. (I’m a musician and my thing is I’m mediocre at any instrument I pick up. I’m best on strings like bass, guitar, I’m decent at drums but have muscular/balance issues after an accident and I do have a great voice too. It’s an addiction. I teach myself a new instrument when my skill progression levels off on the last one) Anyways…. His comedy SUCKED. I’ve yet to do comedy myself but I’m in a circle of comedians and will eventually go up on an open mic, but MUSIC is my thing. Like I said, I’m not a pro but I know that if I actually practiced instead of just improv jam and treated music like a job, I would have no issue being as skilled as any of the other musicians. So, I don’t know man…. I tried to sympathize with him during his set but really couldn’t it was so bad. Then when I knew he was going to drum off I was like “YES! I wish I HAD that option when I sign up for my first open mic. Hope he does well!” I knew he wasn’t going to win but…. Ughhhhh that was terrible. His “skill” on his “best” instrument isn’t even as good as my WORST skilled instrument. Which would be brass horns…. I can literally play anything else. And I’m sure if I tried enough I could get horns down…. Super embarrassing…. I’m nothing special and I could have EASILY wiped the floor with him in both my first open mic that I haven’t even done yet and playing any of those instruments… jeezus. Hope after this show he looked up new jobs and career paths.
@@mwilliams7227 man shut the f@#$ up. That nigga is the kinda nigga that niggas call nigga, nigga. He's just doing any of the same boring nigga shit that a nigga does. Those would all be hard R's if youtube had an integrity.
I don't like his new delivery on his stand up where he's pacing back and forth but he's probably the funniest podcast dude around. His stand up was so so funny around the time he dropped 40lb bag of hampster bones (it's free on Spotify and is so funny I've gone back and listened multiple times).
I'm a regular watcher and I feel like that's one of the biggest pops from the crowd when Tony announced the guest. As they should, well deserved for Theo Von, get that hitter boy. 👏
Sorry to break it to you, but that's mostly an audio track. The crowd isn't that big. But I agree, Theo deserves all the praise he gets and more. He's a comedy legend
I feel like the Mexican drum-off should’ve died when Joelberg stopped being the drummer. It’s cool to watch Micheal flex his skills, but the showmanship and antics Joelberg would put into it made the whole bit. The new band is great, they are super talented and have great comedic timing and prowess in how/when they play, but I really do miss the massive element of the show that was the original band.
How is nobody talking about that break up improve? Damn Theo is a gifted with the fucking quickness. Also massive respect to the dude, how he kept his composure with Theo as the partner deserves a medal
You're definitely NOT done. Go back to the 1st episodes that they did at the Vulcan when the show moved to Austin from Cali. Best thing they ever did was move there. The pulled names are so much better than the folks they got from The Comedy Store area imo.
I swear this show is a once in a lifetime thing. You gotta see it in person. It’s so unique. There will be imitators but nothing will compare. This is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
@@kodymonroe2613 I did and it's nothing like Kill Tony... Why would you recommend that show in this context? Sure, they're definitely funny but not even close to the same thing as Kill Tony.
@@turtlenoheart ya its nothing like it at all, i just personally find it a lot more funny. my thoughts process was well if he finds this funny wait till he hears the bonfire.
Theo's the reigning champ of nonsequitor, random shit that's usually hilarious. He's perfect for KILL TONY. Maybe why his Netflix special wasn't too inspired was because those specials are too rigid, scripted and don't allow for the spontaneity that comics like Theo specialize in. I saw him live at the Comedy Store in LA years ago, with him riffing off the cuff and doing some crowd work, and I'm still fn laughing. Besides that, he's just a good dude. Tony's always hilarious, maybe the most consistent comic out there. If his energy levels are up, no matter the guest or who gets pulled, it's a dynamite night. Looking forward to this one.
what kind of mental gymnastics does it take to say theos special was bad because stand up specials are too rigid. maybe theo is a better personality than a comedian.. its the joe rogan syndrome
This episode was certainly one of the best!! Yonder Wizard was so funny with William! I was cry-laughing several times in this episode! This has been a fantastic streak of episodes the last few weeks! Love it!!
