I noticed you had on a Zeppelin shirt which I actually saw them in 75' at Madison Square Garden in NYC so I'm old school like real old school Lol. I like your style & would love to see you come out with a video talking about how you got started playing, what was your original or 1st guitar(s), who were your biggest influences, did you start out playing just covers, how you created your style of playing, & with all the guitars & equipment you have, what is your decision making process on which guitar you're going to play & when? I'm sure you can think of other things of interest I left out & again I think it would make for a really great video!
I am always impressed and inspired every time you pick up a guitar and play. I've never been a Cort fan. But I swear Justin you could sell matches to the Devil. I've been looking for and acoustic to replace my old Washburn that I'm handing down to my daughter. I'm assuming Cort contacted you to demo this guitar. Smartest thing they could have done to show off this acoustic. You even have me second thinking myself about buying Cort. But like others have said, it's actually very hard to judge any guitar when you play it. As we all know even a stick with a rusty string sings like an angel the moment you pick it up and play.
Wow. That was some piece of playing. Not normally my preferred genre of music but I think I could sit and watch you playing that beautiful guitar all day. Thank you for the review.
Hi from Afghanistan JJ !! Again you continue to amaze us troops over here. Even opening a new guitar it’s like a small concert for us !!! Thank you Sir Your appreciated more than you know !
I bought a Cort cutaway acoustic in a Bangkok Thailand department store in 1977, was something over $100 then. Still have it. Deep rich tone, "Made in Korea", replaced the tuners, neck has never needed adjustment, super solid guitar, built like a tank, will not give it up, just too rich and deep, maybe because it's 40 plus years old, don't know. This Gold A6 has me very interested.
I have never heard of Cort Guitars before stumbling upon this video on my homepage and I am shocked!!! This guitar sounds great and for $800, so crazy!!!
One can never have to many guitars. You are so expressive in your delivery. So 😊 thanks for the music and lessons. I could watch unboxing matches all day.... Thank you.
Actually just picked mine up today! Wow, what a guitar. To me this seems like a $2,000 guitar. And I’ve owned some guitars in the past that cost way more than that. The feel of this guitar is wonderful. The edges of the neck and frets are so smooth. Even the binding on the body is rounded a bit like I’ve never seen on another guitar. I’ve only had mine a few hours and it looks like it might become my favorite of all time.
After watching Justin play like a god on that Cort it looks like you're going to have some great times with your new guitar. Enjoy every minute with it, it sounds like a joy to play.
I have one Black *Cort* (without electronic pickup). I bought it in 2013. Resembles exactly to the Martin & Co's Black *CASH* guitar you have. It has beautiful Folk Tone.
Justin , your finger picking is awesome and your knowledge of guitars is educational, with your easy to understand review... thanks 👍. Awesome guitar! And I have say you really know your way around the fretboard... picking notes, running scales ,riff combo's and cords!! 👍. ,8^J...
Man you can make any guitar sound special. I remember that tin box guitar from Australia which you played. There's magic in your hands. Just love the way you play. Cheers
Amazing quality and craftsmanship from Cort! The pickup combo system may be similar to how Clapton sets up his Martin on his”unplugged” album ! But, with your playing skills, a one-string shovel might sound great... oh, wait...you have already done that! 😎👍
I have an Ibanez bass and a Washburn EB35 semi-hollow electric in the Gibson 335 style and they were both made in Indonesia at the Cort factory. They are excellent quality, there must be a reason most of the guitars in the world come out of there.
Had a takamine p3dc-12 for about 2 and a half years and it was amazing but today picked up my first cort and it’s a SFX-E NS and I’m in love with it the build quality, the sound, the looks…
I went down to a local shop for checking some acoustic guitars, the guy was showing me some random brand and I suddenly spotted those golden tuners, a very similar model like the one you played, CJV3 Tab, second hand but in terrific conditions, I said: Maybe for me :-) hahaha... I am almost ready to go forward but someone offered me a vintage Aria 6710 year 1969 in fantastic conditions too... Not sure which one will pick but Corts sounds just excellent. And course this gentleman playing like that is like a free concert, so skilled, congrats Mate, very cool review, amazing channel and fantastic music. Greetings from Spain.
Nice review. Good to see Cort coming out from behind the curtain. They've been building name brand instruments for a long time for others. Glad they are out with their own stuff :-) If you could dig that much spank out of your slide pickin with a low action, that neck has to be dead on !! Don't know any other way to get there ... Fishman did a good job with that piezo. It does not sound harsh, much like the mic. That is good in case you have to go piezo on stage. All around it seems like a nice guitar :-)
Lovely review Justin!! I've been playing Cort guitars for 8 years now. I own 3 models from Cort. They definitely makes the most value for money guitars, which plays great too. Wish to own this guitar someday. ❤️
Beautiful review, I often watch your videos, you have the blues in your blood!🎉♥️ I wanted to change guitar and I was undecided between a Cort Gold D6 and a Cort Core OC, what do you think?
Man Justin I just have to say I can listen to you play ALL day, that is a beautiful guitar and she sounds great, I also have a couple of Corts in my collection and they aim to please, and thanks to you I will be adding this one to my collection as well.
Cort also produced the awesome Ibanez AW200 and AW400: A lot of guitar for the bucks! A nice presentation of this guitar and its' possibilities. Especially when the "blend" comes in!
I have to say, I spent 9 days in a COVID19 ward in South Africa. Your music was really a calming drug during a very lonely time. Your sound has a healing touch, respect! Love your music!
I never saw Cort acoustic, I know Matt Murphy from the Blues brothers played an electric, but never saw this. Big headstock anchors that sound, thickens it, The pickups are cool too.
It seems like there are a lot of great options out there with good specs and prices. I just wish they would also offer the same guitar without pickups.
I have a cort grand op and took it in to the shop for new strings and the shop owner said he had a £1500 martin and my cort plays and sounds just as good as a beginner guitarist I was well chuffed lol I'm going to look for this one just now your playing skills are amazing buddy :)
i got an older cort G model strat it plays amazing the only complaint ive had about it is the tremlo im probably gonna put a floyd rose floating bridge in it
A roasted top toasted, polyphenolics in the wood leave as a decomposed gas as they do with age because they clog cell structure the open those cells, making the top weigh less and vibrate with greater amplitude.
In 2015 i bought a Cort NDX 50 and first I was looking for a Taylor but due taxes in my country it was way too expensive so I choose the Cort and it was just amazing, great sound, amazing finishes. It would be cool if you could made a review about this guitar since I haven’t find one.
My African grey loves your sound...lol. When I play music she lets me know right away if she likes it or not. I played this Cort review and she's clucking to the beat and bobbing up and down 🤣 Casey gives it 2 thumbs up! If a bird that can mimic any sound appreciates something...it's got to be good!!
Listening to Justin talks about the guitar makes me realize exactly how much I don't know. These are by far,my favorite type videos in this channel. Thank you Jusin! Big love from Israel!
I have had, for the last ten years, a Cort M600T electric which is a very good guitar for the range it's in. Then I read how Cort was involved in some really ugly action against the workers at their factory in Korea right about the time my guitar was built. I'm really concerned how these beautifully handcrafted guitars sell so cheaply compared to ones built in Europe or the United States. I can only imagine that they can manage to put out quality at those prices because someone, somewhere along the line is getting shafted, and I bet it's not the CEO of Cort Instruments.
I noticed you playing another brand that makes a lot of guitars for other companies, Samick! I own 2 if them one is an older high end acoustic/electric, and an electric LP Jr style. Both are fine instruments! Also owned a Squier made by Cort as well. If ya can play ya don't need a name brand.
She's a beauty! Justin, do you have names for your guitars like B.B. King had 'Lucille"?! Also, Where did you get the brain in the background with the lightening receptors?! I'm also digging the Spanish vibe at the end.lol! Flamenco!
Ii just got th a8 wow it's loud and plays beautiful. Traded my mitchell and some other stuff and got her, glad I did no regrets. Put some silk n steel strings on her and wow just wow. Now to name her.
Justin come on. You play songs on a dang shovel that sounds great. I would love to hear you, Beth Hart and you pick the harmonica player do a acoustic album. Hey it’s just an old mans wish. Yeah,Yeah I know what Billy Bob Thornton said about wishing in Bad Santa.
Hi always love you videos you are such an amazing player . I’m buying a Cort guitar but don’t know whether to buy the one like your playing or go for the satin cedar , what do you think? I play mostly John Denver music thanks.
Nice acoustic. But if I were to buy one of these, I would see if I could get it without the built-in Fishman electronics which would lower the price somewhat, then spend only $50 more to purchase the Journey Tek EP001K pickup system and install it myself. I once bought a brand new Cort acoustic back around '03. I didn't have an acoustic at the time & didn't have much money to spend. It was one of their base models, no frills, but it did have a solid spruce top. The construction quality even on the inside was quite impressive for the low price, and it sounded good too, again, for the price. I've respected Cort acoustics ever since.
Just made my first cigar box - Terrible - going to try one with biscuit tin and Maple fretboard.I am sure Mr Johnson could make these sound good. Thanks Mr Johnson!
Now this is how all guitar review videos should be done. Your skill level is beyond words Justin. This video has convinced me to also make a purchase on this wonderful instrument in the not so distant future. I've been on the hunt for a new guitar for a while now. I'm getting tired of watching other review videos of the higher end brands and hearing nothing but fret buzz and quite frankly just don't sound as good as this Cort. I've watched reviews for guitars that are worth thousands of $$$$ and for the reviewer to say 'wow that just sounded and felt great' and my reaction after seeing those videos is 'Oh Hell No' is a bit disingenuous. But I've got to say your review is one of those very rare videos that I've seen a guitar being reviewed properly & great to see that you downtuned the guitar too and still had hardly any buzzing at all which goes to show the build quality of this guitar and your skill as a player. Justin you're an incredible musician and I thoroughly enjoyed listening & watching you make that wonderful Cort sing. You've gained a new fan here all the way from Ireland. Now I need to get rid of this GAS
That's quite a workout you gave the Cort guitar. I give the guitar a B+ for playability . . . not quite a Taylor or Martin. Gets an A- on looks. I'm giving you an A for playing lights out.
I love how Cort is very well made and affordable at the same time. No other brand is better than Cort is that aspect ( the Squier Classic Vibe series is the only exception I can think right now). The acoustic sound of this exemple is not so impressive as we would expect from an all solid wood guitar... But as a complement to what Justin said, acoustic guitars made for stage use can't be too much responsive so it became too much susceptible to feedback, so maybe that was part of the this project. The electric sound is very good as Justin explain in the video. Regards!
I enjoy these reviews and Justin is as thorough and entertaining as others whose presentations are gimmicky and "try too hard." Guitar World might pay decent for his time, but his talent is way beyond this format.
WOW! Now that is one nicest looking & sounding guitars that I have ever seen on your channel JJ! IF I were a much better guitar player, I'd definitely be purchasing that Cort Gold A6. 👍👍🎸🎸😉😉
