Thats what I shoot for on this channel. I always hate watching videos with far too much unnecessary stuff in it. People don't have huge attention spans or a lot of time, there's plenty of other stuff to watch on RU-vid. I figure if I make it to the point and stay on topic, I'll keep a viewer's attention. My longest video is 1 hour but its a detailed how to, I took a lot of time to edit it down to remove anything that wasn't needed.
Just an FYI. Easy combo breakers dont change when you can break opponent combos. It changes HOW you can break combos. The normal rule, if you look at a normal 6 button layout, is you use the button to the left of what the opponent is currently using in the combo. Example: when orchid is doing her 3 hit b,f+hk move, you use the medium strength(kick or punch depending on the character you use) button to break. If they are using medium, you break with light. They use light, you break with heavy. The only moves you can break with any strength is the combo linker moves(orchid f,b+mk for instance) Easy combo breakers removes this mechanic and allows you to break with ANY strength. Hence easy breakers =)
This is a great comment. I love this game, I play it a ton but I can't explain the combo system to anyone lol! I can just do them. I knew about the combo breakers, mostly, I just didn't think I could put it into words so smoothly.
@@KillerArcadeGames i know the game engine inside out! Love the original game even if its broken to hell. I watched some other videos where you werent sure on things like sabrewulf double uppercut inputs, as they were incorrect. Id chime in to clarify but i didnt want to seem like a knowitall hag or anything. =D If you like any clarifications in videos that i spot, i can certainly do that tho. Cheers!
I've since found another glitch involving Sabrewulf. If you do a humiliation on him it freezes for a bit and then reboots. I found this on the arcade cabinet at a local arcade but I don't know what version its running so I can't replicate it on MAME yet.
This is my all time favorite fighting game right here! Hopefully we can meet one day! There are some wacky combos and more hidden stuff that I can show you if you haven't known about yet! I discovered the Eyedol cheat because I beat the game on hard difficulty as a kid with no continues! It was extremely tough yet when I did it, it was a sign of relief and excitement!
Great video. You’re definitely a pro at this game I find it funny the people that play this game and mash buttons like crazy. It’s a combo hit game meaning you have to tap connecting buttons not mash the hell out of them.
The button mashers can be difficult to beat sometimes lol. I’ll be playing online and trying to set up a combo but the masher destroys me if I’m not careful.
i could still probably do all of spinal and cinder's combos, but i NEVER mastered combo breaks. i never had the manual for the game and just learned the hard way. its fun to meet someone who thinks they are good at this game or is actually good haha
Here's a fun bug you can try: Use the fast speed cheat, on Orchid's stage. Using TJ Combo, perform his Ultra combo, knocking the opponent off the roof. Because of the fast speed cheat, it will trigger a glitch where when falling the opponent at some point will start flying in reverse and back up the building, fly into the sky, and begin falling again. This will repeat indefinitely, effectively soft-locking the game. You will have no choice but to reset the machine.
Cheers 4 da vid!, just like to add tho that in KI Cinder and Glacius once they get you in the air and do their infinite - Cinders-Uppercut with Kick, Glacius-Teleport Uppercut just say cheers to the guy doing it to you and go out for a ciggy break..lol 🤣
I'm starting to practice on snes to get ready for launch, can't wait. Great video. I'd love to see a series on the characters and some combos etc for pt. 1 in particular. I always found pt. 1 was harder to be good at. KI2 seemed to be easier to string together moves etc.
Thanks! I have recorded a Sabrewulf tutorial that explains some moves and combos. I'm not sure I like how it came out though. Its very tough to explain it while I do it. I may need to re-record and do voice over later. Either way, I do plan to release some tutorials on KI characters.
I remembered there's a code for Eyedol when you have to select Riptor, not Cinder, but the code is different though. It's probably only work on the KI V.1 version.
@@nwo2cool yep. I think this is the code: "Select Riptor, and hold left while pressing QP (quick punch) and QK (quick kick). When the Versus screen appears, immediately change and start holding right while pressing MP (medium punch), FP (fierce punch), and FK (fierce kick)". I remember it only work in arcade v1.4 (perhaps v1.3, idk) and olders. In v1.5 and SNES the code is with Cinder. Edit: I recently found another code: "Select Riptor, then hold Left+1+2+4; hold Right+2+3+6". It is a little bit different, so you should test both.
4:16 If Capcom made this game they would try to rebrand this code and sell it to you next year as Killer Instinct Turbo Hyper Fighting like it's a brand new game. I don't care what anybody says..... Killer Instinct..... this game right here..... is the best fighting game of all time. It was what dreams were made of for the future of video games in the mid 90's. Then we got the mediocre Nintendo 64 instead of the Ultra 64 we all deserved!
Wow I didn't know ki had so many secret codes. I was never in to ki as it was Nintendo... I was Sega fan with blood on mortal kombat. Nice video with crystal clear instructions. Makes me wonder if any of us has a chance beating you on ki with you knowing all cheats/moves and glitches
Thanks so much KAG a piece of the advice on various secrets of KI Here is another secret set your diffcult to the highest and dont lose any match (spoiler how to unlock eyedol and it shows his ending which i wouldnt do to that to somebody family member)
I've never heard of that, is that an SNES only thing? The only way I know to unlock Eyedol is by doing the Cinder code. His ending is pretty crazy lol. Its a play on Blanka's ending from Street Fighter 2.
Do you have a combo list for tj? For the big combos like witch directions and buttons to press I've checked online and all I can find is actual combo moves and connectors but I'm having a hard time with it
They don't make it very clear. But almost all characters get extra hits on their juggle move after a combo breaker. Sabrewulf doesn't get any extra hits but he does get a "free" extra spin or roll in his combo opener.
Ty so very much, I have a quick question whenever I get a combo breaker if I do an ultra combo I get a white hue shadow at the end, how can I get that hue while playing in the game? I've seen others do it , that's why i ask
You can do shadow moves during the match after getting a combo breaker. I know with TJ Combo you can do a shadow punch by holding fierce punch then charging back, forward and release FP. Just search killer instinct shadow moves and you should find a list.
It does enable easy breakers for both players. Even the CPU. It can backfire on you in a way. The farther up the ladder you climb, the more likely they are to combo break you.
You only did 1 speed code, I believe there are 4. Both left and right with all punches or all kicks have speed modifiers. Three increase speed by varying degrees, and one slows the game down. Although, I don't know if that was an SNES exclusive....
It’s the same, down and start (or the right button next to the Xbox button) but you will need two remotes to do it. And it will only work on two player matches since the game is permanently set to free play.
I don't think the actual KI Classic that was officially released on Xbox is available on PC. But, you can use MAME. Which is what I'm using on this video. MAME emulates the arcade hardware and runs the actual arcade game's code. The KI Classic you play on Xbox is doing the same thing just with a different, less accurate emulator. MAME version .139 32 bit will emulate it very close to the real arcade. Newer versions of MAME have some glitches while running KI. MAME isn't the most user friendly software but I have a video on how to set up MAME: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7G-xB9D9bio.html
This is running on MAME but the sky isn’t in the real arcade either. The only version of Killer Instinct with a sky on Jago’s stage is the SNES. Check out this video at 1:53 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RVB7xrAoYn4.html
Also, that stage is the only stage you can do 80 hits with glacius vs yedol I think, unless theres another way... I remember how to do 80 with cinder, yedol, orchid, jago vs yedol, glacius vs yedol, and I never learned spinals 80 hit combo :'(
By the way, easy combo breaker is only so that you don't have to use the correct key to break. Example, If the current frame of the combo is using weak punch, you would need to break with High punk or High kick depending on character. With easy combo breaker, you can break with any low, medium or high (kick or punch ) depending on character.
Theres something interesting about Spinal's hidden stage. It is infinite in one direction only lol. We found this out on a live stream a few months ago. Also, if you go really far to the right (the infinite direction) the characters can eventually end up off screen. I tested it on emulation and the real arcade to be sure it wasn't an emulation glitch.
For the combo breakers: Hold down on both joysticks and press start on both player sides on the VS screen. For fast mode: hold right on both joysticks and press the top three punch buttons on each side while on the VS screen.
Its a fun game, I can imagine its frustrating if you're not familiar with it. I hope my videos can help people learn the game or remember some of the stuff they learned long ago.
@@tamekoroheke2668once you’ve done the combo breaker you will have the 3 fireballs for the rest of the match. But if your opponent breaks your combo, you lose them.
I do like it but I'm not very good at it. I'd spend a lot more time on it if I could play it with a fight stick. I have plans to add a graphics card to this cabinet's PC so I can play it on here.
@@KillerArcadeGames I suck at it dude. lol but it's actually more intuitive to learn how to play in comparison, imho. unless you plan on playing pro or something.
@day dazed well, I guess I can break it down for you since the main thing you’re complaining about are a few codes. The reboot is technically and mechanically better. I love the ki arcade game, but from a modern fighting game player, the reboot is a lot better performance wise in more ways than 1. Sure you don’t have the gimmicky codes that come from the arcade version, but now you have a balanced game that not only features the original line up from part 1 AND part 2, but now you have new characters that add to the roster as well as guest characters. That in itself is amazing considering you get all the classic characters on there. If the roster wasn’t enough, you also have a ridiculously good combo system that now adds to a mental game mid combo. You can break combos easier (without your code you miss dearly), you can counter break (which you couldn’t do in the original), and you can get locked out for guessing wrong. You know how the genius that is to a killer instinct game? Sounds simple enough, but it wasn’t like that in the originals so it’s a welcomed mechanic for sure. The soundtrack is amazing. Literally amazing. The original is classic of course, but now you have a modernized soundtrack that pays homage to the original. Here’s another tidbit for you, the game was released in 2013…2013, and it’s STILL active in the tournament scene. I know that’s something you probably aren’t familiar with, but believe me when I say there is a fan base for the reboot after all these years. The Ki reboot was one of the first online games to utilize the rollback code to give smooth performance from all over the world to be able to play at home. MK11 finally started using that same net code because of how well the KI net code performs. If that ain’t enough to satisfy someone, idk what it is haha. Enjoy your codes though.
really good video, thankw. finally hit the orchid 46 combo, would of been 48 if i hit a combo braker. are you on live? add me my user is danduffy, anyone add me if you wanna play some ki, im from the uk, so a time barrier may be the issue.
How does your version look so crisp? Yours also has the Nintendo logo. Do you not have the Arcade 1Up version? How can I purchase the one YOU have? @KillerArcadeGames
