Honestly yea.. these game took over mortal combat.. these game has combos, ultra, fatality ,, and mortal combat 1 and two are regular just blood and gore ,And ed boon after in mortal combat 3 added combos and able to run..and after brutality like a ultra ..... so with all these yeah killer instinct 1 and 2 are 🔥 in my part
I remember spending a ton of money at the arcade on this masterpiece of a game. The arcade I went to had a burger restaurant and then a candy shop that had all the old school bits and pieces and also they would be beautiful young ladies who hung out and played games also at the arcade. The 80’s and 90’s have and will always be the two eras that had the best highlights/fun I’ve had my entire life across the board from A-Z.
Yeah me too. With this, Virtua Fighter, Primal Rage, Tekken. Back when arcades were fun to go to when you only had to insert a quarter or token to play. Why did that ever go away?
Oh man this takes me back. I remember being simply awe-struck with mouth agape the first time I saw this game in the arcade I used to go to. I spent every single quarter I ever had on this game, and my cousin was a security guard for the mall so we would fight each other during his breaks. I could never beat him, I was about 10 years old and thought of him as a legendary god of arcade games. He’d whoop everyone’s ass with ease, and if ever I lost against someone or someone was talking shit I’d go and find him to come back and exact revenge, and unleash the holy fire of ultra combos on their faces. Eventually I got an arcade joystick for my SNES and practiced all the fucking time lol. My confidence would be maxed anytime I went to the mall to play against my cousin, but it was in vain. For I never could beat him and to this day he’s still a legend to me. TLDR: used to play KI at a local arcade against my cousin who taught me how to slam faces
arcade cabinets like these, where basically really high end PCs for back in the day, PCs lookd good but of course thats different xD but, nonetheless, yeah it was just basically a PC inside. look at the realtime shadows too ;) thats another crazy feature that amazes me along with smooth smooth animations at 60fps
Yes, the arcade was so much better than the SNES one. When you approached the arcade during the mid Nineties you could hear the music from distance, and the graphics were astonishing.
@@rytramprophet843 no , TJ as well . If you see the story when playing killer instinct it says that TJ combo was famous boxer who got banned from the sport after they dicovered he aquired cybernetically enhanced arms and that he entered this tournament for glory and money .
Man, the nostalgia. All my cousins and I used to play this game every day at my cousins house on Super Nintendo. Brings back so many memories. I was one of the younger cousins so it was a privilege to be handed the controller and play. Id usually loose but every once in a while I’d catch a win against an older sibling and it was the best feeling ever. Oh boy
there's always a ficking millenial with that copypasta sentence. 3 is better than 2, for sure, and i enjoy playing it because it has all characters etc but the flashiness and combo system of 1 can never ever be replaced or imitated
TJ combo has one of the best slow motion endings to his combs it’s so damn dope!! My childhood!! Everybody talked about other games but I would always say “Ever Heard Of Killer Instinct? No 😈😈well step into my office then “ and the rest is history 😂😂😂
@@mac1bc well yes I guess, if you put nostalgia on the table... Just line MK, SF, KoF and theother fighting games it is a matter of opinion. To me KI 2013 is just as good as the original
Announcer: CORRECTION... Available for your home in 1995 in a heavily watered-down but still solid impressive looking version only on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System... Killer Instinct.
TJ Combo, man. Always been a sucker for boxer characters even as a kid. He looked so powerful and had such powerful looking attacks and combos. Loved the skill expression of after sending people flying with a huge uppercut you could time and catch them on the way down with a running punch. Felt like a huge flex. I was so disappointed when they showed him on the xbox KI and they had turned him into some mma fighter and his redesigned looks didn't look intimidating at all. Would love to have the original TJ as a guest character in a SF or Tekken game.
I remember the first time my homeboy invited me over to plsy this game. He kept whooping my ass. The part that pissed me off was he would start a combo and put the controller down and it would keep kickn my ass 😡
Global recognition, instead of recreating another Super Famicom/Super Nintendo scenario. I agree, Nintendo Ultra 64 would've sounded better, even the logo looked better. Think every game with Ultra instead of 64 in it.... "Ultra Mario", "Ultra Pilotwings", "Ultra Mario Kart"....
@Tony Porter Microsoft didn't even need to do much to overshadow Rare, they already had a good lineup. Halo, Fable, Forza Horizon, etc. They just figured they could use a few more games.
This is the best gameplay ever for this game. We got to see ultra combos as well as stage ultras. On top of that this youtube player uses his own tactical analysis during gameplay. On a scale of one to ten this video gets a 500 plus. Well done. This is how Killer Instinct is done.
It always made me laugh that TJ Combo, a boxer, used rolls, crouching low kicks and the Sagat "Tiger Knees" as part of his boxing style - all while wearing boxing gloves. 🤣
I use to play with blue dress orchid, and if i'm not incorrect, there was a way of making a 52 hit ultra combo but you had to reset it in the middle. I can't remember perfectly, but I know that I did it a couple of times.
This game was awesome when it came out on arcade. On Snes I was kicking all my friends asses in this game. I was good with all the characters. But Idol was my favorite. As a kid i was acting like him...stomping feet.. Toot toot toot and then charger. Now 2019 i cant play KI xbox one for nothing.
Man that's awesome. You do a 4 hit unbreakable combo that I use and hadn't seen it used by anyone else til now. Thanx for the upload. Really enjoyed watching
Only a few games I was in awe when I saw it the first time and 1 of them was KI1. I'll never forget the first time I saw it in the arcade hall, it was truly stunning. I hope 1 day they can produce it like the first 1.
i remeber my very first ultra combo with tj combo i look at the tv and i said what did i just do and the tv said ultra combo it was sick and awesome at the same time i love this game and i miss this game
Para todos los de mi época sabrán q este juego llego a un centro de videojuegos llamado chispas en Leon gto en una pantalla gigante con un sonido envolvente era la sensación en 1996 lo mejor de lo mejor
I didn’t know what this game was until I played and it’s brutal for back in the day. Mortal Kombat was the only brutal game out there but this comes 2nd.
should be happy that the series is still alive and kicking. I never played the new one, but from the looks of it, it actually looks pretty solid. Sure, it doesn't have the look of the old games, but a lot of the ideas seem to remain intact.
