After deliberating for about two hours, a Florida jury found Susan Lorincz guilty of manslaughter in the death of her neighbor, Ajike Owens. A feud between the two turned deadly when Owens showed up to Lorincz’s home to discuss a dispute involving her children. Owens was shot dead. Lorincz claimed she acted in self-defense.

Florida woman Susan Lorincz was charged with manslaughter after admitting to shooting her neighbor, Ajike Owens, in June 2023. Lorincz reportedly called police seven times in one year to complain about Owens' children playing near her home. The feud between Lorincz and Owens turned deadly when Owens went to speak with Lorincz about a dispute involving her children. Lorincz said she shot Owens through her front door in self-defense.

If it was a fully grown man who goes to the gym regularly I might understand her fear that the door could be broken through, but not from a mother of four who’d never previously threatened her in any way and was simply there to tell her not to mess with her kids things. I lived in Orlando for several years, I know how it could be. However, the parameters for manslaughter aren’t the same for murder, and since it was easier to win, I had a gut feeling she would lose, and frankly, whether the verdict came down the way it should, we all still knew she was guilty. Like we all knew OJ was.

She’s aged so much! Worry and guilt has been eating away at her daily. It wasn’t worth it AT ALL! She should’ve been the wiser one in this situation and tried to gain the respect from the lady. Had she been a little softer, she could’ve won over the respect of EVERYONE in the neighborhood and she wouldn’t have to ask them to keep it down because they would’ve had enough respect to make the children play elsewhere while she’s working. They could’ve became like family. Some things take a softer approach!

They don’t have any case law to support a legal strategy of self defense. Not much any defense attorney could do because the police interview is irrefutable proof of her admitting to shooting her through a door. She is a Karen but not a smart Karen. A smart Karen would have not killed the mother but just spoke to the mother about her children trespassing. When an adult angrily addresses children directly the children do not respect the adult because the adult already demonstrated they are childlike and easily triggered. That is why adults should only address the parents. If that does not work after 3 tried then you call social services or the police.

What is wrong with you??? Did you see the police videos where she contacted them about the entire neighborhood?? She did not want to hear dogs barking and she had the nerve to tell the police officers who came at her request to lower their voices outside her house. The jury got it right and let it be a lesson to others and ignorant people like you!!!
