Killer Mike is the perfect example of I don't agree with all his views but because he has an open mind and can articulate his view points he gets more people to stop and listen. He is an amazing champion for his local community with investing as well as opening black owned banks.
@@mouse6210 if you didn't know and I told you his partner is a cajan Irish jew from NYC you would think I was crazy. But El-P and Mike make a great team. Big fan of Run the Jewels
@@A_r78 Thomas Sowell said that if the black community wanted to truly succeed they need 4 things...schools with black admins and black teachers to reach the young. Black owned and run hospitals to care for the sick, black owned grocery stores and farms to feed em all and black owned and operated banks to help fund it all.
if you have common sense you don't have to listen to NOBODY! when are you people gonna stop being bots and just think for yourselves without getting confirmation from a celebrity????
Always been a fan of Killer Mike. Even though I dont agree with him on everything, he always sticks to solid principles and speaks against the mainstream. Plus, He has some of the best bars in the rap game. Goes to show that Intelligent, free thinking people, produce the best work.
Agreed.. his bible knowledge and history is horrible. I get the joke about putting black folks in it bible but is he aware the bible was not written through an American lens and folks didn’t even think like that about race back then. Furthermore it’s pretty clear that much of the biblical writers and the people the bible came out of would have been considered black by todays standard of what black is
@@nwsvoid7356 nice :) but how is he racist in your opinion? I have never met him but listening to his songs i believe you or faheem mustve had some kind of miss interpretation?
@@madisynissaquah243 T.I. and Killer Mike teamed with the Atlanta-based family enrichment center, PAWKids, to help those in need during the global pandemic. The duo set up shop in the parking lot of Bankhead Seafood on Wednesday (May 6) where they served up 500 meals to Atlanta residents. That took like 30 seconds to look up..stop being lazy.
I hope Mike’s grandfather saw his grandson’s success. His grandfather not getting to go to school because he was working in a sawmill at the age of 8 to help support the family, clearly didn’t negatively impact his wisdom. He obviously raised his family well.
@@monkeyman9856 well exclude the girls and that makes a decent percentage of tiny kids working men’s jobs. Considering not a single kid works at that age now.
@@johnmichael2753 it’s been illegal since 1939 for a kid under 16 to have a job and it’s not necessary. It’s good to give them tasks or something to take care of but a job at 10 isn’t what kids need. Just because you had your childhood stripped from you doesn’t mean everyone has to as well. Kids need their childhood.
Look at Mike losing weight and getting healthier. Good for him 👏🏻 👍🏽 🙌🏻. I don't always agree with Mike but I respect a lot of his thoughts and politics
This was some real talk, always good to listen to those who understand "there are no absolutes" and that human nature supersedes political ideology...even if lately human nature feels like it is becoming defined by political identity
Killer Mike is good people. I’ve bumped into him a few times in the ATL F Gate SkyClub and on a couple of flights. He’s always willing to chat and hear other’s perspectives.
Killer Mike has always been a thoughtful guy. I don't really follow him, but he's shown up several times over the years in the stuff I do follow. Every time, he's talking about a principle he holds and then applies it to whatever situation is being addressed. Most modern political figures have no principles, just a team they're on. Respect to Killer Mike.
@@jesseb9362 if you’re a fan of someone, that type of response to a potential new fan does nothing but make them think “oh this is what their fans are like? Agreed 👍 my loyalty is to my country. I'm not on the left or right. My vote is not promised to any political party. It's earned. I want our country to be great. I want our government to obey the constitution.
@@MasonBryant lets get more specific @knuckletherapyserveothersf6092 so, i feel you that your loyalty is to the country, whats your stance on the Jan 6 PATRIOTS? YEA or NAY?
@@whiteknob7944So what you're saying is people have to act in extremes and always pick a side? What happened to not choosing a side a learning about both sides in a calm manner. You definitely sound emotional and impulsive, exactly what the media wants
I hear people say "I'm willing to pay more taxes, depending on where it goes" I think the government has proven they are not responsible with our money. When I have conversations, people sometimes think I'm against certain social services but I simply don't trust the government to keep their promises.
I hear you, but what would be the alternative solution to address our problems? Thinking about healthcare and housing, what can we do outside of the government to ensure more ppl have access to quality healthcare and working families arent getting destroyed by predatory landlords?
@@willis7404 you're talking about housing and healthcare. If you track down why housing is the way it is you'll eventually land on Bill Clinton. The 2008 housing market crash started with Bill Clinton. They wanted to give people with lower income a chance to be home owners. That resulted in banks giving out a ton of loans to people who couldn't afford them. So government is the source to that problem just like why education is so expensive now. They messed that up too. Healthcare is a little different because it's so complicated. A lot of moving parts. 2 things off that back though. One, is take down the pharmaceutical empire for starters. Two, people need to be more educated on how insurance works. At 26 years old I needed a total hip replacement. I had zero coverage and is self employed. Luckily my wife really did her homework on how insurance works. I ended up paying 600 dollars for a 65,000 dollar surgery. I had one of the best orthopedic surgeons Texas has to offer. In a nutshell keep government out and let companies compete to offer the lowest rates. Social services should be for people who don't have hardly any options for whatever the reasons are. Not struggling people working 2 or 3 jobs. If you work that damn hard the country should be set up to let a person like that succeed without the government.
@@danielbrace123 Yes and no. The government also gave cheap housing/loans in the early 1900s, the New Deal and the GI Bill. These were SIMPLE easy to understand loans. Because of this most of the wealth of the middleclass comes from these government-subsidized housing loans. What Clinton/Bush jr did were predatory loans that favored the BANKS not the citizens. So the source of the problem is not "government" it's corrupt politicians that care about making PROFIT not doing what's best for the citizenry. Education is the same. Instead of doing what best for the citizenry these corrupt politicians in BOTH parties created a system that put more money in the government and banks. Healthcare is the same, instead of doing what is best for the citizenry it's what best to make a PROFIT for hospitals/doctors/insurance companies. The reason one has to do "research" to understand insurance is because these corrupt politicians (and industry) make it as CONFUSING as possible because they know most people either don't want to, or don't have the time to do the research. They are counting on this so they can make MORE PROFITS for insurance companies. Instead of just having a SIMPLE system as is done in MOST other countries that don't require "research". And people are still paying low amounts in those countries. In a nutshell people keep voting for the same corrupt politicians with the same ideologies in BOTH PARTIES and they get the government they are voting for because of it. The same people that claim government "does not work" or "needs to be small" are the same people voting for corrupt politicians who don't want to make it so that the government can actually work and instead make so it's FOR PROFIT (Centrist have the same mentality just covered in virtue signaling). Then wonder why that same kind of government won't let a person working 2-3 jobs succeed. Because they don't want them to "succeed" they want them to be CONSUMERS and CHEAP LABOR. Governement is FOR THE PEOPLE by the people, or it's not. Then it's just a means to allow the exact thing you claim to be against.
I’ve always liked killer Mike. Listened to him growing up and fell in love with his Impala SS on Autotopia. His level of knowledge should be admired more publicly
Ever since I looked into Killer mike and his stances I’ve been a huge fan of his and everything he says is great and needs to be heard on a bigger scale.
Killer Mike is a legend and is what all Americans should aspire to, skeptical about politicians and a DYI guy who helps his local community. Big killer Mike Fan.
Or the journalists around the world that have either been killed or professionaly destroyed for exposing the truth specially in these fake fkn wars our goverments have created....
I don’t agree with Killer Mike on everything but he’s so articulate and intelligent that it’s hard to disagree with the guy. His point on “I’d pay more taxes if it means educating the youth for free instead of buying more missiles” is spot on and is exactly how I think.
Mike is one of my favorites cause he keeps it real it's simple Im willing to give more money if it actually benefits our country as a whole if that is not the case I'll support the party that keeps me and my family wealthy that's the realist thing any millionaire has ever said

Dungeon Fam 4 Life!!!!! I saw Goodie Mob back in the 90s when Still Standing album came out……OutKast, witchdoctor, killer Mike, bone crusher, and cool breeze hit the stage with them. Was one of the best shows ever!
I loved him from the moment he defended Candace Owens on stage by telling the audience that they didn’t want to hear truth from the mouth of a Republican

I never expected him to be so articulate and intelligent. Given the track record of majority of rappers speaking in interviews it’s refreshing to see someone so smart.
Most hiphop artists are very intelligent(and well informed) in regards to music, literature and the human condition. The artform is inherently poetic. The roots are poetry. And some use their intelligence to make club hits and sling merch lol. How can you blame artists that give people what they vote for with their dollars? Blame the demand, not the supply. If you want more consciousness and conscientiousness oriented hiphop...then listen to that and support artists that exist within those spaces. I listen to hiphop like that almost every day...
My mom is liberal and my dad is conservative too. They divorced years ago but I remember them having conversations on politics where they disagreed and presented their points and they could come to some even ground and understood each other. The divorce wasn’t over their politics it was over infidelity, which they both did. And they both still talk about the other in high regard except for when they talk about how that other piece of shit cheated on me. But they are both guilty so I just laugh at them when they try to say that shit to me as if I don’t know the whole story already.
@@genericallyaccepted I think it was my dad. But when my mom cheated on him it was with one of his best friends, so I think it’s pretty even still, lol.
