Everyone, please help me bring awareness to RG Kar Hospital ra-pe case (INDIA) which happened not even 5 Days ago. A 31 year old female doctor was ra-pe and murdered in the hospital in between her shifts. I request Stephanie to please cover this case. 🙏 I request everyone to like this comment and reply to it with INDIA DON'T DESERVE DOCTORS if you see this comment. Stay safe, bye.
No. The photo is actually what broke the news. If it wasn’t for netizens recognising him from the “paparazzi” photo then whole case wouldn’t have been known.
No Dr. Nandi is not a victim, she directly benefitted from being in cahoots with Thabo. Her husband was blindsided because he truly loved her but her greed superseded that.
And the boldness to be claiming body after body and even claim Thabo’s alleged body to the extent you fight the courts and police to get the stolen body. No, shame she deserves everything that’s coming to her. They literally almost got away with it until they became forward.
Please cover the RG Kar Case (India). An on-call doctor was brutally raped and murdered and the matter is actively being suppressed. There's a huge public out cry going on in the city as well as in the country. It will be helpful to get some international coverage.
You can also email the channel dreading to bring more attention to that awful case. They don't really do cases outside the US rn as far as i know but they're *so* thorough with research, it might take a while for them to get to the case tho
I very very briefly heard about this but for some reason there weren’t many details available when I was looking. I assume because India is notorious for covering up these type of cases of brutality against women 😡. Such an absolute tragedy. I hope Stephanie covers the case.
This is one of the reasons why I like RM. Some channels claim to cover international cases but only do Western or European cases. But this channel also cover Asian, African, South American and Aussie cases. Big love to RM team. ❤️
yessss!! not to mention, i love that she partners with charities. truly the best true crime channel/podcast. stephanie handles each case with such empathy and care. you can tell the RM team is passionate about the cases they work on ❤️
I think they are few channels that cover East Asia cases or Western European but not much as from US. They are hardly any for Africa, some parts of Asia and never Eastern European. 🤷♀️
IF Nandi is a victim, I find it hard to feel some sort of sympathy for her because the man is ALREADY locked up, and somehow she let herself be manipulated, help him out of prison and let her in her life, expose her children to such person like even her instinct as a mother is non-existent.
@@-myharlequinnsapphicarch-You really do though. Because some people don’t know what tell tale signs of manipulation are. EXCESSIVE Charm, flattery, guilt trips, gaslighting/minimizing. Some people simply don’t even bother to learn these things, which ends up to them getting manipulated. Not having a choice is a different story though.
The "Dr" Nandipha is just as psychopathic as Thabo Bester - this couple is like a real life version of Natural Born Killers. She is as guilty as him. She is not a victim, she is and was always a willing participant and she enjoyed and benefitted from all their crimes. And the thing with the picking up of the body - that's like a serial killer collecting a trophy.
@@sparshnaik4551 hi, yes that is exactly what she did. please note that the burnt body was not "fake" it was a deceased person who was only known to be missing by his family. im sure she went to collect his remains as a cover up. but this was where the cracks began to show in their story... but they're being charged for the mutilation they caused on the dead body...
@@anathimakapela4227 yes got to know at the end, it's really sad for the family who actually lost their son and was not able to claim his body as well. This is so sad. And for Dr Nandi, I just don't understand her thinking that she went again to claim a body, shows how arrogant and ignorant she was.
Wouldn't say psychopathic but definitely just as bad as him. She knew what she did that he was a serial rapist,a scammer, murderer. Even though she was married with TWO KIDS she still decided. Who would let a man like that around their kids. She made her own father help Thabo. Nah man she sucks. She just trying to plead insanity so she doesn't get a long jail sentence.
The drama continues... Thabo appeared in court asking the court for the Death Penalty, which South Africa does not have... he also requested that all the other people involved be excused (have thier charges dropped). He complained that his Designer clothing (Louis vutton etc) was confiscated and he has to wear normal clothes to court, and that he couldnt access his appointed lawyers so he has to represent himself 😮
Stephanie is right about this man's brain having to be studied cos his mind just does not stop, he's always onto the next bs 🤣🤣🤣 I'm tired for him!! lol
@Al-Vr-al he's a narcissist and thinks he can manipulate everyone as he has constantly done (not everyone fell for it tho... he chooses to ignore and forget that) he has gotten plenty of expensive things through his lying mouth so he thinks he can do it again.
Hello just a random human from Australia here. I just wanted to thank Stephanie, I’m 32 and have been struggling really badly with depression and anxiety this year and some days I’m in such a state I can’t achieve anything during the day and feel really overstimulated. Something about your videos on all your channels, my brain just really hones in on them and I schedule Stephanie videos during my activities (cleaning the house, cooking dinner etc.) and because they’re long I tell myself I have one whole video to do something as I get very distracted and struggle with finishing tasks. I know my little opinion means nothing, but you have literally saved my life this year and provided me so much entertainment and probably just the biggest happiness I feel at the moment when I can accomplish something. I look forward to Stephanie time everyday and I’m so grateful for you ❤
I agree. Thereks something about Stephanie’s aura and the community wherein we feel secured and validated. I myself is suffering from depression and anxiety and everytime I bingewatch, it heals a part of me
When you say Stephanies channel helps you through your process, all I can think is the crazy content she covers and I think how does that help? But then again I have depression and I watch her too and I guess I do feel better 🤔🤔
@@criland1348 I know it’s absurd and sometimes I need a break from it like just like anyone. But most days when my brain won’t stop and I can’t bring myself to focus on anything without getting distracted or anxious, she just tells you an interesting (albeit disturbing) story like you’d hear from a friend. No creepy sad music, no weird whispering or AI voice, it’s just an unni telling you a really wild story she heard. For some reason my ADHD brain really likes it. I just put on my headphones and gasp along 😂.
I feel the same and I'm glad that you can find joy in her videos. Anxiety and depression isn't easy but you're doing so well and I'm proud of you for every day you go on. I wish you all the best 🙏💖
as a south african, this story isn’t just scary it’s heart breaking for everyone who was hurt or scammed by this evil man, and it shows how awful the government is, thank you for sharing this story in such detail
As a South African I am so shocked that you covered this case. It’s twisted and scary and i can’t wait to watch the eps to see how well you explained it.
In my 2-3 years of watching Stephanie I never thought you'd do a story from my home country 😭Thank you so much and yes it's a very crazy story that we all watched/watching as a country.
Thabo and Dr Nandi honestly come across as a real life Joker and Harley Quinn. How the hell did this happen, why would she throw away everything she had built for a piece of shit like him??? Did she completely lose her mind or what? This whole case is completely insane. I also just feel awful for the mother of the man whose body was burned, he was an innocent person who didn't deserve such a fate.
Dr. Nandi is 100% guilty, and even if whatever that Thabo did, she wasn't part of it, she caught up and was excited about it and head over hills in Love with him and probably did all this to make him happy.
right?!? Ran to comments to see who else! 😂 I love Rotten Mango, but it feels so strange to see a "back home" story on this channel though I say this and fair few others we've had are def worth telling on a true crime channel 😅
people like this, like Anna Delvey, are honestly fascinating to me. no consciousness, no anxiety, no concern. its literally the polar opposite to my existence 😅
This guy is scum. Ana Delvey on the other hand, her crimes are kind of vague, like she made people want to give her stuff. I find it easy to rally behind her.
This a story of a psychopath and one crazy girl who thought she was Harley Quinn of South Africa. . Nandi thought she was untouchable and really the sad part is her two young girls who were left in that house with those two . Where was the father for real?
The good girl/bad boy trope makes sense in theory but, why stick around afterwards? Wouldn’t they just take as much money as possible and leave? Even for Nandi, as awful as it is, I could see a world where a successful woman who has everything could get bored and want a new life, I feel like i’ve heard stories like that before. But instead she stayed living her highbrow life, introduced him to her children and tried to scam her friends as though she wouldn’t eventually get caught. It doesn’t make sense for a seemingly intelligent person to do such stupid things. l’m dumbfounded
@@SkyMika.have you never heard that one rotten apple spoils the bunch not saying "all South Africans are bad" just that that saying is really common (and true for actual apples lol)
A CEO friend of mine who occasionally had to go to South Africa ( more than 4 times) says he can not tell as about the country because each time, he has never left the hotel, business transactions are done in his hotel. Scary place is all he would say and the police are untrustworthy.
There is nothing much to talk about since it's still under investigation 🙄 Anything unintentionally said regarding that case can create public outrage So now is not the time...😐
As South African, I was waiting for Stephanie to do a video on this case, because it is something out of a movie! I remember there were so many videos circulating of this guy doing normal activities and citizens were pleading the police to look into it for about a year and it fell on deaf ears. It was only after a lot of public outrage that they decided to do a DNA test on the burnt body and that's when they realized they F'd up
I think that’s where a lot of the conspiracy of Thabo having political connections came from. Authorities knew exactly where he was and how he was living his best life. He was well protected until the public outcry became too much to bear so that had to give him another “slap on the wrist”.
@@huntergreene9781 This sounds so spot on because when do authorities have any issues to clock a person and have them prove their innocence because someone somewhere accused them 🤣 but dude just walked around like not even the laws of physics applied to him lol
As a South African who has watched The Thabo Bester Documentary on Showmax which is a streaming platform, read the book and actively engaged through social media platforms when the story first started making waves, it amazes me how Stephanie made me feel like it's the first time hearing about it. Your amazing story telling skills truly sheds light on how much evil happens in the world. You always highlight the victims and their stories as they are often forgotten due to the extravagance of the stories you tell, as people forget about them but always remember the perpetrators. I hope the families get to see this video as the trial is ongoing and find strength through the comments of your amazing supporters.
Please cover the story of a young medical resident from West Bengal who was raped and murdered while at duty on night shift in the college hospital room. It's an ongoing case in India.
My best friend used to love watching your videos. We’d even go on FaceTime and watch them together. Unfortunately, she took her own like last month on July Sixth. It makes me sad to watch them, but i continue to watch them to remember my friend. Thank you mango, for being apart of our memories. RIP, Emily.
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your best friend 💔. Please be gentle to yourself and take as much time as you need to grieve. Remember that there is no “correct” way to grieve a loss and when someone dies the way Emily did, it brings up even more complicated emotions that will certainly take more time to recover from. If you aren’t already, I suggest speaking with a therapist who specializes in grief and bereavement and surround yourself in positive people who will support you during this difficult time. This loss is still incredibly recent and raw and I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for you right now. Just know that she loved you so much and your friendship probably meant the world to her.
Even her brother said she was always shady. She went looking for Thabo Bester after she found out he was in prison she still went to visit him. There is rumors one of her kids is Thabo's & not her MD husband's. She made a kid with him while he was a convicted grapist in prison.
please talk about RG kar medical college rape case. its about brutal rape of female oncall doctor at night inside HOSPITAL and this sparked outrage in INDIA. this case need global pressure and justice. its heart breaking
As a South african Subscriber, im so happy that Stephanie covered this case. Its so crazy, and it has so many layers to it and shows the failures and corruption of so many people of this country
South african here. Dr. Nandi is not considered a victim, she put her marriage, her kids safety, her career, her life to that man. She co-mastered the escape. She is not a victim.
She went & looked for him & found him in prison. She was obsessed with Thabo from when they first met at a varsity campus. She had everything. Her own successful business, educated as a doctor, married to a doctor, wealthy, celebrity with 2 kids & she gave it all up to run away with a grapist & murderer.
As a south african, I never expected you to do a south african case. Also, its worth noting that there is a lot of corruption here, from both the judicial system and the police. Its very easy to believe that these documents were either forged or falsely approved of as its easy to bribe officials (including medical personnel, politicians, ministers, police, judges, jail wardens, etc.) especially when you have the amount of money and influence Nandi had. Still, it makes me really happy to see you covering a case from my crazy country
Thabo Bester (born 13 June 1986) is a South African convicted rapist and murderer who escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in South Africa after faking his death in a fire in his prison cell in May 2022. He was on the run for almost a year before being caught in Arusha, Tanzania on 8 April 2023. He was arrested along with his partner and alleged accomplice, celebrity doctor Nandipha Magudumana. Bester had become known as the "Facebook rapist" because he used the platform to lure models with fake job opportunities. He pleaded guilty to two rapes and one murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
South Africa finally has a minister of correctional services that does his job. South African prisons are being raided and as long as he is in power, corruptions in prisons are going down in record levels.
As he should wasn't he part of the team that was responsible in killing young black South African kids during apartheid? Or was also involved in the association of our young teenage black struggle heroes? It should come easy to him because it's in his DNA almost like second nature killing black bodies.
hii rotten mango team im actually here with a request that can yall please make a video on the kolkata doctor case it would be a great favor if'll look into it since yall are so good in researching and know your stuff very well its just a humble request
The short answer is: Corruption As a south african theres no mystery here, its all connected. Another reason for the uproar amongst women is because South Africa has one of- if not the highest rates of Gender Based Violence in the world. You cant dress comfortably & go outside without fear. Anways, still nice that Stephanie is covering a ZA story!
There's also a theory that they dated back in the day . So Nandi left a seemingly good marriage and her own kids for an abusive, rapist, murdering and manipulative ex and has 0% of my sympathy.
Would love to see you cover the Grenfell Tower fire that happened in London a few years ago. I live in a building covered in the same material that made that fire so lethal. We legally had to have fire wardens patrolling the halls 24hrs a day for months while a new fire alarm system was installed
I’m S.African (and also a big fan of your channel Stephanie)…I know about this case and truly excitedly anticipating to see how you tell it. Let’s dive in!
Stephanie, please please make a video on India's Recent Brutal R*pe case of a doctor who was on duty in Kolkata RG Kar Medical Hospital. She was brutally ganged & murdered . Please make it
Stephanie just wanna say thank you for the amazing videos you put out! so much work goes into each and every video. Many of us watch these and think, it's so easy. But, There's alot of time & investigation that goes into every video. Many of these cases that you highlight are cases we know nothing about! Your awesome. Thank you again and thanks to your team as well.
OMG!!!! I cannot believe I finally get to see a story from my country on your channel. Lmaoooo this is so insane but I am telling you it needs 3 parts. It’s so messy and Thabo keeps changing lawyers like he is changing his underwear. 😂
Sorry, Stephanie 🤣 Boy, Mr. Mango having better princuciation of the names and you trying to correct him is honesty so effing cute. I fricking love you guys!!!!!!!!
South African here and I can tell you that the exploits of Thabo Bester read like a Hollywood movie. He charmed his way through many high profile figures men and women alike and made a mockery of our correctional services and judicial systems in place. This man is something else.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Makes me think of hybristophilia - sexual interest or attraction to those who commit crimes. Only a psychologist can conclude if that’s what Nandi might have but I think it’s a really interesting point to raise, i’m as stumped as you are 🤷🏾♀️
As a south African - we have so many terrifying stories. And sad to say, we live in fear everyday. Violent crime is the norm. Thank you for covering this story.
@@BJC-pk8cmnot to the point that they do I don't think. I saw one woman say she has to pay people to walk her to the store for protection. That's not the norm for America. Not saying America is flowers and sunshine, but I don't want to discount their genuine fear by comparing the 2. Love and positive vibes to you both 💜
@@BJC-pk8cm I'm sorry I don't think you understand how scary South Africa is. It's a beautiful country but there's a reason most houses have high walls, security cameras and security alarms. You don't stop at red lights at night, you don't walk at night. South Africa also has one the highest r*pe rates in the world. Especially children. Hijacking is a common thing. I can honestly go all day. When she says they live in fear, they really do.
@@CaseyMarie11-11 Nah to the point we do and even worse. I agree we have issues in this country but I believe it's not as horrible as in the US. I believe their on the same level as there's been many who yalk about feeling unsafe in the US and the unaliving. Also the easy accessibility to guns adds onto the US' issue.
@@nandi_m04 Is America to the point where coworkers have to tell their new female immigrant staff to carry condoms always? So that in case of an SA situation they can bargain with their rapist to at least wear one before the rape? Nope. And yeah, this is a true story
I love how Stephanie tries her best and accomplishes writing about different cases from different countries, it’s really hard to do but stephanie and her team manage to do it which is so amazing. ❤❤❤
I feel so sorry for the innocent 'bodies', lost for such a horrible case. And the fact that the victims thought their abuser was dead but then found out that his still alive? That must have been so scary. I could not imagine that- 🥺
Stephanie, you should definitely look into a case from Kolkata, India. It is a rape and murder case of a medical student in the r g kar hospital. It is a fresh and evolving case, however, many attempts are being made by authorities to keep the case out of attention. It deserves more attention from not only the people of the country but also from all across the world and you making a video about it would definitely help to bring some attention and awareness to it
@@vaibhavitiwari2021 yeah it's really sad and somewhat terrifying that such a brutal case isn't even getting proper national attention. Really shows how messed up the authorities and the government are
I'm finding it hard to believe she's a victim. If anything, she's responsible for everything he's done since she helped him escape. What a disappointment
Wow I can't believe you covered this story. Was talking to my sister last week that we wish you can cover African stories too, and here we're. Thank you gal
Thabo Life after prison and rearrest After escaping from prison, Bester lived in a rented mansion in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, with Nandipha Magudumana. He used the pseudonym TK Nkwana. Bester and Magudumana ran a scam property company, Arum Properties, and convinced several people to pay deposits for construction projects which were never completed. On 8 April 2023, Bester and Magudumana were arrested by Tanzanian authorities in Arusha, Tanzania. The couple was deported and arrived back in South Africa several days later. As of May 2023, eight people have been charged in connection with Bester's escape.
The judge had to put him in his place just the other day cause for some reason he feels like he is not being treated alright, since no lawyer wants to represent his ass. Thabo is delusional cause, the man is literally talking like he is being accused of something he did not do. His new lawyer literally posted on facebook that he just wants to be on TV, thats why he took on the case. 😂
It's not that they do not want to represent him. He stopped paying the lawyers so they withdrew then he tried to defend himself. He now found a fame hungry one.
Idk if you'll see this but I'd hope you'll cover the case of brutal murd*r and r**e of a doctor from renowned medical college (R.G Kar) in Kolkata, India... It's a very recent ongoing case and we want justice for her.. If this case gets more exposure, authorities will be pressured to take the matter seriously.. I'd hope you'll kindly cover the story and stand with us, women of India.. Request from your avid listner.
"Giggle gaggling" might be my favorite thing you've ever said! 😂 I genuinely think this woman wanted a movie worthy life, filled with luxuries, drama, and clout. So she made all these bad choices for the thrills
as of now it had been a pre-trial with Bester kept in the most highest correctional prison in the country in solidary confinement and it delayed because he kept running into trouble to have a legal representer. A lot of the lawyers he hired eneded up leaving because of his profile and they did not want to be the main face of representing him. He finally got a lawyer and the trail is set for February 10th 2025. Hopefully he is still here by then. Thank you for covering this story another big one in South Africa is Rosemary "The Killer Cop" a serial killer that preyed on her family while working as a police officer (although I would prefer you use Initials or make up your own names on that one, they are very difficult, you won't be able to pronounce them, we understand)
Seeing you cover a South African case is truly surreal. I'm so glad that you're giving this case the traction it deserves since these types of cases--which are much more than should ever be humanly allowed--in SA are so overlooked. Thanks for looking out for our Mzansi women, much love 🇿🇦 🙏🏽
Please make an episode about Kareem, the Egyptian serial killer known as "Safah Altagamoa", "The 5th settlement murderer". His story will blow your mind.
