@@battles146not in North America . That behavior is to a very specific pod. The rest of Orca around the world aren’t dangerous to humans. I don’t think the pod off the coast of Spain is even trying to do anything to humans either, they’ve just become fascinated with rudders.
They jump like they are dolphins because they literally are dolphins. Orca whales are not actually whales. They are the biggest type of dolphin there is.
I agree. It’s so sad that people would look at animals in pain, and in tiny tanks, think it’s ok! But I’m glad that the free ones are as happy as can be! I wish the captive ones could be happy and free in their own families, in their own world.
Friendly reminder that killer whales are are very smart, swim in packs, and are quite vicious to their prey, essentially ganging up and torturing their prey before killing them. Oh and they also prefer to eat babies of most species including sea lions, dolphins, and penguins. Not to mention orcas are in the same family as dolphins despite eating them. Sooooo sure advocate for them I guess.
@@katyaflippinov9197Usain Bolt runs almost as fast as a grizzly with only two legs and not as much muscle mass as a grizzly. Pretty impressive. Being skinny isn't what makes someone run fast. It's muscle. Also, the speed of a grizzly is actually slow compared to these whales. These whales are much bigger than any grizzly, yet swim as fast as bears run. If the bears were running side-by-side on land as an orca swam in water, the orca would be keeping pace.

Yea, but that boat also is going extremely slow. Boats always look like they're going faster than they are. Killer whales' intelligence is just insane.

I always wanted to swim with Orcas after seeing free willy as a kid. When I was 13 my mom took me whale watching and I got to see many up close. This included Washington's largest resident Male at that time named Everett, 30+ feet long. After seeing him pass under the boat you couldn't pay me to hop in the water with them! They are like a short bus with teeth! I still love them, just respectful enough to stay out of their world!
@@travisgartside409 You can swim/snorkel with the Atlantic Type 's, in Norway, if you like. I'm going in 2022. They're very careful, and respectful to people in the water.
Feezie F-Baby I’m just thinking I took swimming in college so I like to think I’m good, but watching them move plus they weigh a ton ! Incredible, my fear is great whites the way they hunt.. they shoot straight up from the ocean so you don’t see them coming, that is my fear when I’m in the water

Orcas taking a free ride with the currents from the boat. They are beautiful creatures. When I worked on a tour boat in Hawaii, we had a school of dolphins that would do this for miles down to Kealakekua Bay.

They're highly intelligent and sociable. When I was a child growing up in Seattle we took the ferries often and it was always exciting when a pod came to play. Especially if there was a calf. It's like follow the leader lol
Yes I agree with you it's the owner's of these places should be held in glas tankswith no way out and just scraps of food flung in for them with a little tube to get water

They look so cute and seem to be having a good time, enjoying the current created by the boat that it almost makes me forget how powerful they can be. It'd be so easy for them to ram and take the boat out. Yet, the ''Wolves of the Sea" choose to play instead. Such intelligent, beautiful, and strong creatures. ❤

If they were on a sailboat maybe it wouldn't be that funny yeah... Here in Spain these beautiful creatures had been sinking and attacking sailboats by hitting them and biting in pieces the rudder, provoking serious leaks, expensive damages and putting the life of people for no reason...
I've never seen that before ! Like dolphins they are following the boat for the fun of it. Lucky crew to enjoy such a unique and wonderful experience .

I also experienced same scenario once with a pod of 11. We were on a 17 ft. Zodiac rigid hull. However, we cranked the throttle down in fear of disturbing or accidently hurting these wonderful creatures. We just sat quietly and observe nature's beauty.😊
@@thephenicies9999 They have not been known for direct attacks on humans, though there have been some orcas (off the coast of Spain, if I remember correctly), that have begun attacking boats, tearing the rudders off, and doing that kind of damage, which has caused at least one boat to sink.
was a male killer whale. He was kidnapped when was young, and separated from his mum and all his family. They putted him in captivity in a place called Sea world in america. Instead of staying un the wild , he spent almost all his life in a pool basically.

@@cahillgreg no they can get bigger than 20,000 the biggest orca ever caught was actually 28,000 lb Tillamooks father some also have been known to reach 30,000 pound mark but only wild killer whales get that heavy a lot of captive ones get anywhere from 16,000ib to 20,000ib only because of stress and lack of proper nutrition
Not all phones will automatically turn the video where the correct side is up if you turn the phone while recording! Discovered that the hard way when I recorded a video w/my phone sideways & it played the video back sideways! I tried all types of adjustments to see if I could flip it where I could see it correctly, but nothing worked. A friend had the same problem.
Ehh sometimes depending on the situation and the fact phones are giant these days, It can be unsafe trying to landscape while ripping in a boat possibly holding on with your other hand. I've dropped my phone on my face many times 🤣

And they can sink that boat if you upset them. They figured out if they ram the bottom of the boat they can crack frame. Thus sinking it by flooding it.
They are literally doing that now, they have learned how to sink boats now. They arent eating the ppl, but they have sanl countless boats recently. They think its because a killer whale got caught up in a fishing net. Maybe the whale called out to other whales when he did

Lol naw dolphins in general are smart enough to evade the propeller let alone an orca. They keep their distance to ride the wake of the boat and that’s usually it. I see this in Florida a lot from bottlenose dolphins.
@@thefisherman0074 not at all, we had some cases in Portugal about Orcas getting atracted by the boats and engines vibrations That ended in some of then getting killed by it.
Joao Marques I never said all dolphins are smart enough which is why I said “in general”. It’s also why you said “some”. Cause rare cases are not the norm. And you know that. Dolphins in general know better than to get hit by a boat.
Yes orca are not whale, They are dolphin 🐬🖤⚪ And they are not killer, Families of orcas that have a precise menu stick to it and do not attack anything else, moreover, orcas are super predators, which means that they regulate the populations of their prey.
They are „riding your swell“/the waves your engine and boat creates to save energy and be faster. It’s similar to surfing 🏄♀️ You can see that when you’re concentrating on the top of the wave on the left and the right and you see that they are in a V formation always surfacing on the top of the wave (and also being at this point of maximum thrust when they are under water) 😃🤗
Charmed. They’re really intelligent animals. They understand humans don’t live in water and have never been taught to hunt them. Wild orcas have never attacked a human.
So imagine how fast they actually have to be swimming!! 🤯 Plus seeing this just shows how much these animals thrive in their natural habitat versus captivity. How could you want to hinder that?
