Killing For Love And Facing Death Row 

The title completely is click bait. The first 30 seconds I felt myself feeling bad for this young man. Until I realized he stabbed and almost murdered his GF & then bludgeoned her father and mother to death. What a horrible person.

How is this killing for love? This is killing for control, a clear example of abuse. He didn't get what he wanted so he attacked his girlfriend, he didn't get what he wanted again so he plotted and killed her parents. You are sympathizing with a premeditated murderer and romanticising abuse. This is exactly the type of crime the death penatly is in place for, whether you agree with it or not. Check yourselves.

'Killing for love' please change the title. A mentally ill person tried killing his girlfriend and then successfully killed her parents, love is probably the furthest possible emotion you could apply to the situation. Is there more to the story? Why is the defense and everyone siding with him it seems odd, usually when someone tries/commits mass murder you wouldn't get people so openly siding.

I don’t understand how after he stabbed the girlfriend how was he not put in jail ? 10 days later he go over to the house and beat them to death while one of his friends watched only to rob them and take the couples car ; i don’t feel bad at all

I feel the title is completely misleading. This isn't some tragic love story, this is a young guy with very severe anger issues and problems. Of course the parents told him not to see her after what he did!! However, I am not for the death penalty. I think a life in prison without any chance of parole is the real punishment and someone can actually learn from (or even just realize) their past and their terrible crimes.

The on this is insane. Why on earth do you want us (the viewers) to feel sorry for this monster!!?

You know I’m not always for the death penalty, I think just in serious situations, and I truly believe this is one of them.

Fact: the murder of her parents was premeditated. There is no reason to let him keep on living.

As a Black woman i can admit I’m so very confused. I don’t feel that this was racist at all. He was tried and convicted fairly. My heart goes out to the ppl that lost their life for no normal reason. They simply were protecting their child period. I would have shut down his access to my child to after he damn near killed her. How his mom can say please spare his life, I just wanna visit my child. I have no support of her foolishness. He beat those ppl like they were a animal&took their lives. Y should his be spared? They visit their loved ones at a cemetery, her son is alive and well. How is this fair at all. Death row is almost a gift bc he don’t have to live and endure the pain his ass caused a family. Miss me with the “ judging mess, he has mental problems bullshit. He wasn’t mentally ill he was a hard, cold, criminal. It’s so unfair to the ppl that lost their lives so viciously. Praying for their souls and pray their daughter don’t choose her man side . He killed her parents bc they tried to keep her safe. God have mercy on their soul.

I do agree that he should get the death penalty but I also feel like letting him rot in prison is even worse torture

I just watched this episode and one of the jurors said something that was very odd, considering that she was contemplating a death sentence. It was like she wasn't sure about the death penalty but voted yes because "some of the others wouldn't had left the room without it". It just sounded like she was kind of forced to vote yes. So the peer pressure exists there too.. I'm just glad we have no death penalty here in Finland. I realize that Shawn's crime was horrible but I couldn't participate in a murder. And that's what death penalty is, it's another murder that doesn't make anything right.

Be careful of the friend requests you accept on Facebook. You don't know what you are allowing in your home. These beautiful, innocent parents were simply trying to help and extend love to their teenage daughter. They lost their lives because she didn't want to listen. Young ladies... Listen to your parents. They are not out to harm you or kill you. Their job is to make sure they set boundaries so that you can stay alive from the monsters out here. Parents don't give your children too much freedom at such a young age.... They are too young to date and have that much freedom. Don't try to be their friend.. Be their parent. It's the teenagers job to be rebellious and mad...but it is the parents job to discipline them and keep them alive.

Sick individual! As of yesterday there was 2 mass shootings in the U.S, i think it has a lot to do with the gun culture but its been hundreds of life times to get it to where it is today! Im canadian from british columbia and we don't have guns like the states and we also don't have the mass shootings either…..we've had a few but nothing remotely close! It hurts my heart for america but i think it will take years and years to stop these mass shootings! To me it seems like the columbine shooting was the catalyst!!! This is so crazy he was a friend of mine from middle school to high school. I knew he had a anger issue. Ut I didnt think he was capable of doing this.
