I love when she lets the song be letting the chords and words speak and then throw in a beautiful run sparingly. I think she became known for runs and that’s what people expected so much that that’s all she did, but I think this is the real her. Love it!!!

Umm... Kim Burrell is low key one of the best musicians out here. The passing chords and harmonic choices make you scratch your head. Her dad was a jazz pianist for many of the greats from the likes of Sarah Vaughan and more. Her musical styling makes complete particularly when you hear her accompany herself.

I'm praying for Kim. For healing in her body, her spirituality, her mind, her heart, her attitude, her ministry, & her artistry. She is so necessary for a time such as this. Most are looking for a reason to abandon God. Feeling like it's too much "work". But the reward is GREAT!!!. He doesn't require much of us. The traditions of the Church are just that..."traditions". He just wants us to wake up every morning, acknowledging that He is God and trying to be better today then we were yesterday. Be encouraged ❤
