The original singer Kim Hyun Sik died last 1990 at a very young age of 32. The song "My Love By My Side" is a single on his last album that he created and was released after his death.

The original singer of this song, as was mentioned already, died very young of illness. He wrote this song basic on his deathbed and actually snuck out of the hospital less than a month before his death to record it. That was the clip you heard. It was released posthumously. The show this performance is taken from dedicates episodes to famous “immortal” singers, living or dead, and has current famous singers compete by doing covers adapted into their own styles. So it was a tribute to the original singer but also a tribute to his bandmate who passed. If I remember correctly Kim jin Ho took a couple years break after his passing and this was first public performance since that break

I both love and hate reactions to Kim Jinho. Of course I know you have to pause and analyse but at the same time how can you pause what to me is almost a spiritual experience. ? The struggle is real..lol
