What does the immediate future have in store for my DVD overview channel now that I’ve finished my runthrough of the Phineas and Ferb DVDs in my collection?
Well, since making those P&F videos have put me in the right mood to do so, I'll be showcasing the DVDs I have of all the OTHER television shows produced by Disney to celebrate Disney Channel's 40th anniversary on April 18, 2023!
I am going through all my collection in the order in which the shows featured on them made their television premiere, divided into three categories: Disney Television Animation productions, live-action Disney shows, and programs not made by Disney that aired in most countries on and are widely associated with Disney’s networks. It's sure to be a MAGICALLY good time!
After a six-week hiatus caused by a special upload marathon consisting of the entire contents for four discs each from shows owned by Corus Entertainment and/or WildBrain, my “Disney television show DVD overview” video series is officially back! To celebrate Women’s History Month, it’s now time to cover the DVD releases I own of the series focused on the action-loving lady who more than lives up to her last name of the opposite of impossible! I do not currently own either of the two season DVD box sets of Kim Possible from 2010, but I DO have all of the single-disc DVD releases of the series that were put out when the show was still premiering new episodes on Disney Channel, bundled together in a 4-pack titled “Kim Possible: The Classic Animated Series” that was released on February 3, 2019 as a tie-in promotion for the show’s then-upcoming live-action DCOM (which also has a DVD release, but I don’t own that disc for obvious reasons).
The first ever Kim Possible DVD release was The Secret Files, a “Best of” compilation compiling three random episodes with newly-created CGI bridging segments starring Rufus, plus an extended intro and a single set of credits, to make the compilation seem like a movie to impressionable youth and/or gullible parents (not unlike what Warner Bros. frequently did with the Looney Tunes gang back in the 1970s and ‘80s, except that those compilations were released into theaters). It was released on September 2, 2003, and also included the first half-hour installment of the series to ever air (but not the first installment to be produced), “Crush”, as a bonus episode (to make consumers pick the disc over its concurrently-released VHS counterpart). The DVD also includes two other bonus features: a gallery disguised as a “game” providing fun facts about Kim’s “Most Wakko Bad Guys”, and a music video by K.P.’s voice actress, Christy Carlson Romano. Despite not actually being a game, I couldn’t get the former bonus to work properly on my PC, but everything else thankfully ran A-OK.
Here’s a list of everything you’ll find in this overview of Kim Possible’s Secret Files DVD…
OPENING:
1.) FBI Warnings
2.) Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo (2001-07) (encoded in 1.66:1 widescreen, which would be weird on any other disc, but actually fits here because that ratio matches the feature presentation; more on that in a bit)
3.) The Lion King: Special (Platinum) Edition DVD commercial
4.) Brother Bear theatrical trailer
5.) Sleeping Beauty: 2003 Special Edition DVD promo
6.) George of the Jungle 2: “Premiering on Disney DVD and video” trailer
7.) Lizzie McGuire DVD ad
8.) Kim Possible: “Watch it on Disney Channel and ABC Kids” promo
9.) Main menu
10.) Disney DVD logo (2001-05)
11.) Kim Possible intro (extended version created specifically for this compilation!)
CLOSING:
1.) End credits, jumbling the credits for each of the three episodes from the main feature into one set (with the 2002-08 Disney Channel Original Series logo awkwardly stretched to be widescreen like the rest of the feature natively is)
2.) DVD menu walkthrough
3.) End credits for the bonus episode, “Crush” (with the 2000 Disney Channel Original Series logo seen only on the original broadcasts of season 1 preserved!)
4.) Music video: “Say the Word” by the voice of Kim Possible, Christy Carlson Romano
5.) Recess: “Taking the Fifth Grade” and “All Growed Down” DVD promo
6.) Toontown Online commercial (may this amazing game rest in peace)
Kim Possible was produced in widescreen, but originally aired on television cropped to 4x3 until reruns were shown on Disney XD from 2014-18. However, this DVD preserves its three featured episodes (but not the bonus episode) in their original aspect ratio (I’m assuming that the 4x3 print of “Crush” was used so that it could preserve the 2000 Disney Channel Original Series at the end), making it the only way American viewers were able to enjoy any full episodes of Kim Possible in the ratio they were animated in until those aforementioned newer broadcasts and the launch of Disney+.
That’s it! More K.P. fun is coming your way soon!
DISCLAIMER: This video is NOT made specifically for kids, but for EVERYBODY.

Two of my favorite types of special features on one DVD, a bonus episode and a music video.

Disney Channel in the US aired widescreen prints of the series when the HD channel launched in 2008.
