Awesome job!! We’re actually going thru the same thing right now! Doing everything ourselves so taking it one part of the house at a time. But almost exact things you’ve encountered with a single wall home in Hawaii. From canec ceiling removal, to plastic drapes to removing walls, to one-by’s as the ceiling nailers, double walling the back wall of the kitchen for new electrical and moving plumbing in there, and uncovering surprises with the hardwood floor😂. good job especially with re-using and repurposing what you could 👏🏽. I’m running our redwood we removed thru a planer and reusing to make the new cabinet doors ect. Oh and btw upper cabinets are overrated! Def on the same page with your shelves and simple useable daily items it will hold. Will share when we get done, we’re so looking forward to it so much! Oh and btw we’re using a Coleman stove until the new gas is installed and complete. Love the finish, congrats again good job 🤙🏽
