Could you revisit reverse kimura I'm really making some good progress with it from full guard

A few questions . 1)when I am bottom half guard and I go for the far side kimura , if top guy simply moves his head directly over mine, it smashes everything . Any advice there? 2) when I do happen to get the kimura grip , one way to keep the guy from rolling is to put him quickly into lockdown halfguard . That stops the roll long enough to let me kimura him . I know that was not a question. 3) I got so frustrated with the difficulty in getting a kimura from bottom half against high level players , that I finally kind of abandoned kimura plans for that far arm and instead have gone to far side shoulder crunch stuff. Seems to lead to better results. Your thoughts?
