Come with me on this 10 mile UK day hike only 1 hour from the Manchester area! This route is certainly challenging and took me over 5 hours to complete with a food break. If you are looking to push yourself and see a lot of sights in one day, this is for you. The route starts off in the village of Edale, through Upper Booth past the camp site and on to Jacobs Ladder. From Jacobs Ladder you go on to Edale rocks where I stopped to have a very welcomed food break. I was using the OEX Tacana stove set which once again proved its worth for a cheap alternative to the more expensive JetBoil systems. I cooked some British Army ration packs to try them out for when I go camping as they can be eaten hot, or cold and can be transported easily. After the food break, it was on to Kinder Low, then Kinder Scout and finally Grindslow Knoll. Total time to complete was 5 hours 30 with a break for food at Edale rocks.
Paid parking at Edale and get there early as it gets very busy at the weekends. Toilets and plenty of food and drink places in the area.
