True Lies by James Cameron is a fantastic film with Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis! It is a wonderful action/adventure/comedy! "a different side to Arnold." Arnie is a brilliant comedic actor. James freaking Cameron even knew it, and that's why he made True Lies (1994), starring him and Jamie Lee Curtis. It's a MASSIVE budget movie that perfectly combines Arnold's action/macho history with his hilarious comedic skill. an absolute must-see. I think after making The Abyss and Terminator 2, Cameron needed to make something lighthearted, and he nailed it with True Lies. can't recommend it enough

@ogrejehosephatt37
@ogrejehosephatt37 2 года назад
"Twins" is probably another good watch to see Arnold do something that departs from his action stuff. There's also "Junior", but I think that's more weird than good, but I don't really have much of a memory for that one. I'd really like to see you react to "Conan the Barbarian". It's an iconic role for him, though I'm not sure you'd love the movie.

If you liked the anatomy boy, you should watch Steven King’s Pet Sematary. Maybe for Hollobeans. He was 3 years old when he filmed that. fun fact: A lot of the scenes with Arnold and the kids were naturally filmed, because getting children to sit there and read a script was really hard. So Arnold would just interact with the kids when the cameras were off, and while he was doing it he would occasionally look over at the director, and he would give Arnold a signal that they are indeed now rolling...so scenes where Arnold is just playing with the kids, is actual honest good non scripted play time with Arnold and the kids, and he has said he had a blast making this movie, because he wanted to do a lighter movie between his action movies. So he would do an action movie like Terminator, and then do a calmer movie like Jingle All the Way (which I would highly suggest too).

This movie bombed in theaters when it came out just before Christmas 1990 -- but it steadily gained ground and stayed in the theaters making bank until the 4 of July! But after about a year it was a huge hit in VHS sales and rental stores Ten years later it was on cable TV in heavy rotation -- it was like it was always on every week somewhere. Then it would come around every year on holiday programming. Finally it disappeared until it reappeared on DVD in 2016. Now its back as a retro nostalgia trip on the internet.
