We are in our last week of MFW Kinder. It’s been such a beautiful blessing. So excited for first grade ❤️

I’ve used curriculum differently with different kids!!! We’ve not used MFW but it’s sounds awesome!!! Last time I taught kindergarten we did math, language arts and Bible!!! I’ve never thought of teaching other subjects at This age!!! I love doing a family science!!! My younger kids don’t learn as much but I know it’s ok!!! I have great memories of family lessons!!! I’ve found for art i have less expectations from my younger kids!!!

We used Science in the Beginning with my 4th and 1st graders this year. It was over my first grader’s head, but we watched youtube videos at the end of each lesson, and she loved that-as well as the experiments. It is a really well done curriculum!!

Hi, thank you for this review. Yes I have a kindergarten and a first grader next year as well as my sixth grader. So co.bining them is scary to me but this makes so much sense! I lowkey am so overwhelmed 😉 I always appreciate your videos. I stepped away for a little but know I need to prepare for next year so you'll see more of me. Lol 😆 Would you be able to show a preview of what the science curriculum looks like? I was planning on using science shepard for my 6th graders but would like to see how that will look combining. Ty

I have a question about Science Shepherd. Couldnt science shepard be combined as well. I believe i remember hearing or reading that you can start all kids off in Introductory science and work up to Earth science. Is that correct? I'm not sure which curriculum to choose. 🤷‍♀️ Do you have a sixth grade curriculum video out yet? I did not see a video only for 6th grade literature.

Science Shepherd can definitely be combined! Their Introductory Science is recommended for grades 1-5 (ages 6-11). Here is a good course progression chart: scienceshepherd.com/blogs/science-shepherd-homeschool-curriculum/recommended-course-progression. They do have the video component, if you think your kids would like that! And they have a great customer service, if you need help picking/deciding on a level. The Science I showed here (Berean Builders) came with and complements the My Father’s World Curriculum we are using next year, which is why we are giving it a try 😊. I didn’t do a 6th grade only video yet…I was debating doing that since I kind of covered what we are doing in this one and the 7th grade one 😂. But maybe it would be helpful to have it separate? Happy to do it if so, please let me know!

@blessedhomeschool thank you for this info. I'm going to look into both the science and see which one will fit us best. Yes! That would be helpful for me. My brain works better having them all separate. And I think I might let my 6th grader watch with me because I'm allowing her to help pick. So it might be helpful to her as well.
