I've never owned a Kindle product until I bought the Scribe, my iPhone was too small and the iPad Pro just hurts my eyes. Heretofore, the Scribe. It's a wonderful device it meets my needs, portability is a minor issue but no IP rating means it stays at home, No regrets but I am looking at Kindle Paperwhite for portability. I like the review.
I bought my Scribe during Prime Days and absolutely love it 😍 I have an iPad and a reMarkable but wasn’t satisfied with the writing experience on either one. I like to hand write my first drafts, so I’ll do them on the Scribe now instead of paper. Great review 👍🏾
Thanks for watching. Yes, the writing experience is the best I’ve had and I’m an avid iPad notebook reader. I bought my scribe a week before prime days 🤦🏽♀️ the pain!!! Lol. At that point though I already loved the scribe so I couldn’t imagine not having it while I exchanged for a new one.
Hi Rhonda. I've been on the fence about which one to get between the Scribe and Remarkable 2. I have many Kindles and don't use them much for reading, but I'm comfortable with Kindle. I love the look of the Remarkable. I'm not sure which I want! Most everyone says the Remarkable is better for writing. I guess it personal preference.
So happy to hear about the battery life on the Scribe. I love my Kindle Oasis but the battery life is not great. I am charging it every other day. I just ordered the Scribe and your review has really helped. Thanks so much!
Love your review! I have the scribe and love it and worth it. The writing experience is top tier! Yes pricey, but I took advantage of trading in my old kindle and opened an Amazon card to get nearly $200 off! So that made it even better! Plus I needed a larger screen for a better reading experience for myself!
I just bought my 3rd kindle the signature paper white I guess I need to get the scribe also lol 😂 going to have a kindle for every room. I love how big the scribe is.
Yes! I honestly use all my kindles. The scribe is beautiful. It is so fast and the screen is amazing. I highly recommend it. The paper white is also a great device l-but the scribe is luxurious.
The Kindle Scribe with the pencil ✏️ is expensive but worth it. I have it and use it daily. I love the big screen and use the note taking side with pencil ✏️. I don’t use the note taking often but when I need it I like to have on hand. I would not take for travel. I don’t have it but if I used a Kindle for travel it would be the paper white signature. For now the Kindle Scribe 📝 meets my current reading needs.
Thanks for watching and sharing. I totally agree. I’m obsessed with it but it’s definitely not for travel. I use my paper white when I’m out and about and the Oasis sometimes at night when the Scribe is too big to hold. I’ve recently purchased a sleeve for the scribe so I hope that makes it a bit more mobile.
Thanks for watching. Yes, it’s huge and too big to travel with for me. If you were a person who carries a tote bag or something it could work. I don’t usually, so I still take my paperwhite or oasis with me on the go.
Doing research on kindle ed readers I only been using my Fire table 10 9th gen or using iPhone to used read ebook You video are very helpful Trying decide get either paper white or the scribe or both

can you open the notes on half screen and write your notes regardless the position or do you always need to tick the position of this sticky note? also can you scroll that sticky note to write more so it can be as long as you want? like write many notes while reading. sometimes I read like 10 pages and write 3 sentences / quotes for study. Those sticky notes looks like very very short and does not help to write like 40 lines.
Thanks for watching. From what I’ve seen, when writing a note in a book for annotating, you get a small box that pops up. It doesn’t scroll down for more space. However, you can write or use text to write your note. I imagine using text versus handwriting would allow more space. There are also notebooks where you can write longer notes, but I haven’t tried to use the notebook in a split screen way. I hope this helps.
Having said that I am very tempted to get a Scribe. I LOVE reading on the Oasis - it is so much more comfortable than the Paperwhite, but the note taking and sketching does look good. If Amazon introduce layers into the notes for drawing it will be a no-brainer...@@ravenclawreads3177
Yes! To update I did have a defective battery. It glitched in other ways too so I called and I got a replacement and I don’t have that problem anymore.
@@ravenclawreads3177 Thank you, dear. I am contemplating this device. One quick question. I know Kindle allows us to email the annotations to the registered email ID. I have seen the highlights and typed notes are included in that CSV and pdf they email. What about the handwritten notes? Do they get included in that as well? I am planning to just go down to the near by Best Buy in a bit and get it. Possible to let me know?
I bought it. I hate it. It seems nobody is mentioning an important thing: everytime you turn the page, the screen takes a long time (thinking?) then it flashes and goes completely black, and only then does it show the next page. It is very very sloooooooooooow... You can't search inside the book or flip through it. It's a disaster. Maybe it is good for the trash bin. I can not recommend it. Do not buy one.

I did have an Oasis that glitched like this and Amazon replaced it, maybe it is a dud and needs to be replaced by Amazon? They will replace it for free you just have to get on with customer service.
