When I was first flipping through the comic I fought they were revealing that Kindred was George Stacy back from the dead to avenge the death of his daughter. Feel free to use that idea for yourself future Spider-Man writers.

Harry is an interesting choice and kind of unexpected because he's so tied to the Green Goblin, you'd always expect him to follow that route. Hell, I'd think of him being Venom before becoming this sinister Hellspawn (mainly because his son in the MC2 universe became Venom).

After being a red herring for years for other villains to the point where it became pretty predictable and easily brushed off as being too obvious to be the latest mystery villain to turn out he’s IS that villain. Good twist. Granted he hasn’t been unmasked so maybe it will turn out it’s not actually him.

I don't think Peter so much "let Norman go" he ultimately changed his mind and decided to leave Norman to Sin Eater, but as Madam Web put it, he chose too late. Also Kindred posing up Gwen and George as an undead squad posse was creepy and awesome.

I wouldn't be jumping out of my chair if I were you. A lot of people have pointed out some discrepancies about this reveal along with long time fans saying that Harry forgave peter before his death pre OMD. So I calling this a red herring too.

After the Sins Rising Arc started, it feels as though the series is picking up again and this issue was really interesting in terms of questioning the status of the characters in the book. Can’t wait to see what happens next and keep up the good work man

I thought Kindred was going to be the original Gwen Stacy, but I'm not upset with it being Harry though. In fact the more I think about it the more it makes sense, the post-OMD "Harry was in rehab in Europe" explanation for his death and return never made much sense and it was never clear if "Best of Enemies" was still in canon or not. And the fact so many in this comments section don't know when Harry died is testament to how damaged Amazing Spider-Man has become. It's not just the continuity, it's character. Characters' histories inform their actions and when nobody is sure of what has or hasn't happened that effects character development. So here's my theory, there are not two Harry Osborn's. Harry died at the end of "Best of Enemies" and went to hell where he became Kindred, then when Peter made the Mephisto deal that opened a crack back to the living world that Harry went through. Since Harry was dead and thus outside of reality when Mephisto rewrote it he still remembers pre-OMD things, and once he came back to life he decided to wait his time to strike.

The amazing Spider-Man #31 and #48 were the issues that solidified to me that [redacted] is Kindred, due to how Norman talked to Kindred and that his death was referenced

Considering that Harry's only alive because of One More Day, the deal breaking would have a huge effect on him and god knows what else. Also, considering that Mephisto is playing a huge part in Jason Aaron's Avengers run, maybe we'll get a team-up/crossover between Amazing Spider-Man and Avengers in 2021?

I had no idea who Kindred was and was considering everyone and anyone. I thought it could have been: -Gwen Stacy -Charlie Cooper -An Alternate Version of Peter -An Alternate Version of MJ -A Forgotten Clone -Norman's Illegitimate Son I was just throwing names into the wind to see if something stuck. What a wild ride, each comic made me rethink all the suspects (or it just make me add another to the list!)

Sin Eater blasted the Goblin right out of Norman Osborn in this issue. I was just looking back to #16 of Dark Avengers. We saw this goblin for ourselves in that issue when Osborn appeared to be talking to himself. Seems to me like Stan Carter did Osborn a big favor.

Yeah this book is going in some fascinating places. We just have to hope now that the pre-OMD Harry theory is right and the resurrected BND Harry is some sort of imposter or like he's totally unaware of all this. I dunno, it's going to be fun to see play out. I wonder if the Stacy twins will play in at all? It's fun to craft these theories that are connected to easily the worst Spider-Man stories of all time and yet I'm morbidly curious to see how if any writer can rework them to have a positive response from the readers.

I just realized we are a Spiderman Hush style story line like Batman spidey is facing A bandage villain who hides their identity yet he knows everything about him a the hero such as their identity and what makes them tick and knows how to mentally break them rather then just doing cliche villain plans.

This reveal was such a letdown. Maybe because we had 2 years to theorize our own takes on him and who he could be. Idk I just thought it was kinda underwhelming. He was someone everyone expected but didn’t think of because it was too obvious.

I just thought of something, Harry redeemed himself in Spectacular Spider-Man 200 right? So it does not make sense for him to go to hell, so how did it happen? I am not sure but I remember Norman came back at the end of 90s clone saga and they said it happened because of Goblin serum, but what if he came back because he made a deal with Mephisto and sold his own son's soul? And in return he also made life of Peter hell with whole clone saga plot. That way you can kind of fix Clone Saga too.

I am a Little dissapointed by this revelation , this revelation It gave me some question ; thefore Harry remeber his death and Peter identity After One more day ? , How Harry got his demonic Powers ; but this Evolution of the character of Harry Is consistent with slott damage (in fact Harry in the American son saga repudiated his father) and the masterpiece of the children inside (the hate-love relathionship between Peter and Harry), for me the end of this saga Is Peter defeat Harry but he dies forgiving Peter and understand his errors , normie try to vendicate his father became the new green goblin

Ehhh Not really a fan of Harry being Kindred, because I actually liked Harry in modern stuff like going down swinging. I’ll try to hold total judgement until the whole story is finished but it’s disappointing right now.

Possibly. It depends on whether Harry had really died in pre-OMD...and other stories indicate that he had. And yes, he dated Menace. Lily Hollister, I think her name was.

I guess I'd forgotten that Kindred himself wasn't actually a back-from-the-dead character. I think Spencer is going to play this "straight" -- no references to "pre-OMD Harry was dead but post-OMD he was alive so this is the dead Harry" continuity-tangling shenanigans that nobody wants to read anyway, certainly not new readers (there must be some, right?).

I think Dr. Strange is going to revive Flash as Anti-Venom, maybe some line about how he can only do it because Flash hadn't fully crossed over yet. And they''ll use Flash's Anti-Venom powers to cure the Order of the Web. Also, Harry being Kindred makes total sense... if you go by pre-OMD Harry characterization.

It's Harry, not Gabriel Stacy. It's clearly stated in the editor's page. Also, Marvel never reference Sins Past because fans hate that story.

So...I can't help but sigh. Just...sigh.... I mean, the art is solid, some of the writing is cool, but it's not worth a two-year build up "who is he????" mystery. And yeah, I like Joel's idea about why the Kindred arc is happening but I still sigh. This feels like a 2000s version of the Kaine/Judas Traveller side of the Clone Saga.

I admit that the Kaine/Judas part of the CS is actually a guilty pleasure of mine even when much of the story is utterly insane but it's not something that a story should ever get compared to. Ever. I'm not a huge fan of dragging out mysteries for too long when it comes to comics. Story arcs, yes, that's fine. But an actual plot point (in this case, a mysterious evil villain) really needs to be something spectacular to last more than a year without getting overcooked and leave me wanting everything to just end. I have a feeling I'm not the only fan who got to the point of not even caring who Kindred was by the time this issue became available.
