This soldier is brilliant when that happens. No shouting, just turns and looks them in the eye. He is scary! Far more effective than shouting. This same soldier is brilliant with kids.
I'd love to see her reaction of some random bloke walked up stood right beside her then put his arm round her ! She would be running to the police shouting " assault ! " Yet she appears to think it's ok for her to do the same to a soldier on duty ! Visit Horse Guards leave brains at home .
Kath Ellison My thoughts exactly, only difference is that I would say, 'visit Horse Guards, see good looking Guards and brains end up between legs'. What gives these people the right to molest our Guards and their horses is beyond my comprehension.
I am sure that if she asked the guard politely before putting her arms to him, he would have said, "No, it is not permitted" or just plain "No." Then she does not have to be on YT making a fool of herself. She would have asked the other tourists if she could do that, and she would have the right answer too. But it would be more fun to get a response from the handsome guard, even if it is a "No."
This soldier is becoming quite a bit of an internet sensation, through no fault of his own. He is just doing his job, and doing it very well, but his look at people is brilliant. Well done young man. 👏👏👏
Yes there seems to be a lot of fans of Ellis (um including me lol. He walks very straight and tall and if I catch my posture as slouching, I think to myself, “I’ must walk like Ellis!”
This guard is quite charismatic and a kind soul . My goodness if he was from and in the in USA Ellis would be on television with frequent appearances etc. GOD bless you Ellis, you’re a FINE kings guard and person! I suppose I would stare at him also😀 😍GOD bless all of the kings guards! Ellis, Much love from 🇺🇸 !!🇵🇷
Que paciencia hay gente que como no está en su país,creen que pueden hacer lo que les da la gana.RESPETO,SON LA GUARDIA DEL REY DE INGLATERRA..JODER,NO SON MONIGOTES.
I love this guard; he didn't even have to open his mouth, he just gave her that look and she backed off immediately. Who the heck do these people think they're dealing with? I will never understand the mentality of any of them.
You say, "Thank goodness he did not scream at her." Why would you say that? She deserved to be screamed at and should be ashamed of herself for that outrageous behavior.
He has a girlfriend (lucky girl!) but she must get sick of the female adoration. Men have just as much right to their personal space and not feel molested. Yes he’s gorgeous looking and they look protective, and that’s probably why women think it’s right to touch him, but he has every right not to feel molested.
I might be wrong, but this might be the same Guard from another video, who is really kind to a visitor with learning difficulties. In the video, he standing exactly as he he is here. The visitor (and. think, his dad) stop to take a picture. The Guard moves over to stand right next to the visitor and made his day.
Love this guard, there is another video of this same guard stepping closer towards a little girl for a better photo for her. He can be tender when called for & stern when needed
Can't be watching this crass woman again, who goes up to stranger let alone a serving kings guard and thinks its ok to link arms!!. Lets hope she and others get the message.
Oh, I just love this guard, and this is just one of my favourite videos of him. I've watched this video many times - that look he gives her gets me every time. He's just brilliant the way he does it. My respects to this guard.
I just had a thought, that in some ways, dealing with the public within the constraints required by public relations, could be even more dangerous and taxing than fighting an actual military enemy!
I am also an ex military wife and like you I would probably loose my patience too at some point. These guards have and always will have my upmost respect.
It really annoys me people think they are just status the tourists really need to be educated about what the Blues and Royals and life Guard's do and that they are real soliders
This American Grandmother ❤❤❤ loves your channel. I love watching these young men and women and their majestic horses. Thank you for these excellent videos! ❤🇺🇸❤
These people get WAY to close the these soldiers. It's so disrespectful how they invade the personal and professional space of these working soldiers and horses.
You don’t get to molest the guards. That’s not part of the touring that goes on. What’s wrong with people? It’s a lot more than just not knowing. They don’t think. It’s pure entitlement. I would have wanted to smack her.
Ah, but this special guard has class. Just a cold, steely stare from him is all it takes. Yet his empathy shown to those who get so little in life brings me to tears, as does his love of horses.
At 4.15 that small child almost under the horse! Where was the parent for goodness sake? Thankfully the guard was keeping an eye on her but if the horse kicked or was spooked that child would have been seriously injured.Stupid useless parent!
I'd love to see one of these tourist come to the States and visit The Tomb of the Unknown soldier and try to touch one or put their arm around one!! Or even have their picture taken with one. That would be very interesting!!!
Fortunately the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is inside an immense cemetery which globally recognized by most as a sad place. It also helps that our uniforms are much more modern so the tourists usually don’t forget their not in Disneyland
I REALLY DO NOT CARE WHO SHE THINK SHE IS . . . OR THE REASON THAT SHE DID OR ATTEMPTED TO DO WHAT SHE DID . . . THAT . . . WAS SUCH A "CLASSLESS AND DISRESPECT" ACT BY HER.! ! !
In my wildest imaginations, I can not see how these people think it is okay to go up to a guard, or anyone, and take a picture of themselves, with them, without asking first! It is just creepy and weird! And these seem like normal, educated people?! And then to go up and touch them?? How is it that they think this is acceptable behavior? These people don't look like Troglodytes. So what in the world is the matter them? Have we all lost our minds?
The last guard probably didn’t see the special lady in the wheel chair when he turned around. They probably where wanting to get a picture with the guard.
Wow how rude some ppl are the guards are doing their job and the public think its OK to go up and touch them and the same for the horses, the ppl that do it are not from the uk mainly and think it is funny till the guards shout, if the ppl were doing their job and some one out of the blue started touching them they would create an uproar to their boss for unwanted contact from a stranger, but it's OK for them to do the same thing to the Kings guard bout time the ppl grabing the horses or touching the guards were hit with a fine or made to appear in court for doing so
10:38 I really liked how he didn't shout to make way, even though it was his right, at the mom and her daughter in the wheelchair. Just a tiny detail that shows how compassionate the guards are.
Somebody forgot to put out the signs that horses kick and bite. There is no sign at either station. Not that it changes a lot of peoples' behavior, but still the sign should be there just for the sake of liability. You'd think women would be particularly sensitive to huggings from strangers because women don't like strange men hugging up on them.
Having these walking guards stand in the fixed positions serves no obvious purpose other than as a photo-op for the hordes of people trying to press as close to the guard as the guard will allow. The guard has to stand there inhaling their stinky body odor and bad breath (some countries aren't known for good personal and oral hygiene) as well as being exposed to any communicable air-borne disease they may be carrying. The poor horses on duty are exposed to the same odors--no wonder some of the horses act as if they are gagging!
He Leute ,das sind keine Wachsfiguren.Diese Männer bewachen die Königliche Familie. Sie arbeiten.Möchtet Ihr beim Arbeiten gefilmt oder fotografiert werden. 😮
Right if that woman was strolling around London, stopping to look at the different buildings, monuments, etc. & and some random bloke who she has never seen before in her life walked up to her & put his arm around her, i dare say that she wouldn't like it!
Respect is a basic social and moral attitude that shows recognition, appreciation and respect for other people or ideas. It is the ability to recognize and respect other people's rights, opinions, boundaries and dignity. Respect also includes the willingness to treat others with kindness, courtesy and tolerance, regardless of differences in opinions, beliefs, cultures or ways of life. Respect is an important basis for healthy interpersonal relationships, cooperation, social harmony and peaceful coexistence in society. My utmost respect to the Kings Guard LG Thomas
There should be a sign up telling people not to touch the guards💂 and horse's🐴 it could help to stop them being pestered and hounded by the disrespectful tourists you don't realise how hard it is for them to do their duty There should be something much better than the just protocol all the guards💂♀️are literally putting there life in danger daily the guards💂 are there to protect all the royal 👑 👸 🤴👸family so it's down to the British people to help protect each other ♥️ 🇬🇧 I'M PROUD TO BE BRITISH 🇬🇧 ♥️🌞
I find it wonderful to see that the children have much more common sense and manners when compared to the adults. There may be hope for the future after all!
IT SEEMS LIKE THE "NICE PEOPLE" NEVER LINGER. THEY TAKE THEIR PICTURE AND GIVE A QUICK "THANK YOU" BEFORE THEY HURRY OFF. THE "TROUBLEMAKERS" ON THE OTHER HAND CAN'T AND WON'T LET IT GO. THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO OVERSTAY THEIR WELCOME.
The more I watch this the sadder/madder I get. The noble soldiers shouldn't have to be put on display for the clownish public. These people are rude fools
WELL I HAVE TO SAY THE PALACE GUARDS ARE VERY HANDSOME & THE LADIES VERY PRETTY!! IN THIS VIDEO TGE LADY WAS CUTE,NO WONDER SHE WABTED A HUG THIS GUARD LOOKS AWESOME! 🤣😅🥰🥰👋👋💘💘🇺🇸🇺🇸
Tourists have to remember that royal kings guards arent statues, they dont stand there to be touched and get taken pictures of, they are people on their job just like everyone else.
Why do people need to take a pic with the guard and not of them. They to nice I’d tell them to back off. Wasn’t everyone so scared of c0vid just a month ago.
