Unlikely the horse would be bothered by a little kid, unless it was shrieking. They are well trained. But running up to the horse and standing too close, or reaching out and poking him with a forefinger, is just stupid. Make eye contact with the horse and rider. Move slowly and keep your distance. If the horse wants a nose rub, he’ll let you know. Otherwise, he doesn’t. If he nudges you to move away, do it. In a shoving contest, he’ll win.
