It seems South Africans do not really know Hlaudi Motseoneng. The former COO of the SABC, managed to run the company with very little education. His goal of one day becoming the country's president is as clear to him as daylight.
What I've picked up, Hlaudi as COO sacrificed alot for artists and employees to make sure they are happy . He risked his job even got fired for benefiting poor employees . The spirit of Ubuntu lives within this man , I respect him for that.
Listening to Mr. Hlaudi, sparks mix anger in me. Truly we are our own enemies. The true heroes are hardly celebrated. This gentleman is a true hero. Thank you King David for enabling this information to reach out to the world. Mr. Hlaudi, I, honour you.
Hlaudi is practically few houses from mine back home in Qwaqwa and I grew up seeing him carrying a microphone looking for stories whilst with Radio Sesotho then. I'm glad that he got an opportunity to articulate his side of the story. Enough respect.
The man understands public service better than most. Government entities aren't designed for profit....but to provide service and be sustainable. I enjoyed this conversation a lot....
This interview made me feel a wide range of emotions, the majority of which were directed at myself as a black person. We truly fail our black leaders, and SAn media will be the end of this country. as sad as it was seeing SABC letting go of our Siblings but a part of me was like bazenzile, they failed to support and protect this man. they all kept quiet when he was going down. Black people have no back bone!!!!!
My brother I was one of the people who was fooled by SA media in regards to this man, hearing him express himself has forced me to confront my naiveness. I must say we as black SA's are failing each other, but ke I can honestly say the media can only play that trick once which is why we seek out a proper balanced diet of news elsewhere but the biased SA media. I thank David Mashabela for having this platform.
What about the black people he chased out of the SABC. Didn't they need any support from their colleagues too? While some of us claim to stand with all blacks, we tend to stand more with those who had a voice and could use their position to silence those blacks who were the small guys and had no voice in some of these organizations. I would never celebrate a black person who crushes the little guy and most of us never get to hear the stories of the little guys because unlike him they will never get opportunities to be at such platforms to tell their stories. SAns have selective memories and that's what annoys some of us about this country.
@@thapelolitlhakanyane9060I bet you will crush them when you believe you're doing a right thing and they are used by external forces to detour your plans
Podcast is the future of interviews. People who are being interviewed become themselves and they get a chance to express their views without any interruptions. I however fear that if advertisers and regulators start to come into this space lot of this freedom can be compromised. Pit is that at some point this Podcasts will need to make money for self sustainability and its potential for job creation. Thanks Mr Mashabela Ntate Motsoeneng today expressed himself without been patronized or being looked at with a scorn.
Bra David, ke lebogela se o se dirang. Ma 2000 will say “you’re for the culture grootman!” Please continue to show the true side of all these legends.God bless you. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you for asking him tough question but also showing respect. I've seen how some people just belittle him in interviews mainly because he doesn't speak English by their standards. I think he put our music industry to where it is today with the 90% local content....Kgiba leleme le letsho keho koma ditlhare. Rona Basotho rea o hlompha.
One thing I realized very quickly is just how intelligent Hlaudi is. Now I realize that he's far more than that, he has heart. In every sense of the word. He has a set of values that this country seriously lacks, he's truly brave and has great intentions He's just grossly misunderstood, thanks to being vilanized in our eyes. This interview was much needed. I wish him all the best in his efforts
Thanks for Affording Hlaudi all the respect during the entire interview. It made the whole interview wholesome .We got got a glimpse of the man the media protray as a clown. Unfortunately his thinking and mindset is not suitable to any cooperate or organisation. He exists in a different realm.
I'm so motivated by this interview, I like his confidence, his passion for people empowerment, positive thinking and his unapologetic self love. I learned a lot from this discussion, I wish you could reduce this info into writing(book). All the best Mr Hlaudi.
I loved and defended Hlaudi while he was at SABC. I’ve always believed in him. He might not be the most articulate person, but he is good as it gets in leadership. He has the creativity, the instincts, the boldness, the resilience, you name it. What an inspiration. From homeless young boy to become COO of a Multi-Billion organisation.
I have heard much of negatives narratives but this man is the best. Him not given a space to defend himself. I like the Decisions he took back in sabc.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working closely with Ntate Hlaudi ,one of the most humble and compassionate fellow I have ever met....he is genuine ,what you see is what you get God bless you Ntate
Wow Mr Hlaudi 👏intellectual lecturer indeed!!beautiful interview really enjoyed every second ,very motivational ,he opened my eyes in many things ..dankie King David !!
Love this. Thanks Mr Mashabela for this podcast. It's wonderful to hear Mr Motsoening himself. His story is amazing and inspiring. What a passionate and patriotic man.
😂😂😂😂 David realized that Hlaudi loves to correct his answers. If Hlaudi doesn't want to say something David will intentionally guess it wrong then Hlaudi will correct it with a correct one. "no no no no no" 😂😂😂😂 smart David
Great interview Bra David. I love that you don't interrupt guest anyone and you let them finish their storytelling. This was very good. SABC employees always speak highly of Hlaudi.
Legendary King Hlaudi, against popular belief me i got great respect for this leader, he is one of a kind, practical leadership at it's best, the type that gets the job done, well done King D for bringing this legend on the show.
Oh this man loves SABC, thank you king David for bringing him, surely the media painted him with the bad brush. I didn't know him very well till today. Now I believe in him and his leadership. Can multichoice hire him.
I knew him when he was still a journalist at the sabc. He was renting a room at one of the houses in my street, life was tough. Seeing him walking to work holding a big recording machine, his shoes were worn out, they had dust everytime I saw him. I then took a decision not to do journalism post my matric, even though I loved it and my mother also wanted me to work on radio but I took a decision to study business management rather .
Wow what a great interview, thanks to the host for being fair and asking sansable questions with respect unlike our so-called SA media houses who've been terrorizing his dignity. Long live the spirit 🙏 Mr Motsoeneng.
Motho ga a itsiwe e se naga ka nnete. Hlaudi is a deep ocean of information, he has so much to share on confidence, tenacity, kindness and leadership. I have so much respect for him after hearing the story, from the horse itself.
Hlaudi, the self-confident, the unstoppable, eloquent, genius and individual i have ever heard in the history of South Africa. This man is leopard, which was taught by people he lived with of how to face and survive challenges. Big up Mr.
The manner in which the media painted Hlaudi Motshoeneng made me hate him so much. At a personal level the guy is a joy, I think his radical decision making without wide consultation is the one that put him in hot waters. Perhaps also high level of confidence but i have learnt alot. Thank you king dave....I always think of mac G when watching podcast loll....😀
You know am not for the word 'radical' because if you tell service providers what to do, they say it's radical, you encourage production of black content, it's radical, you license content for money they say you radical. So basically when you fighting for black people you are labeled radical.
I have a lot of respect for Mr Hlaudi. He is organically intellectual, youngsters assume you need papers to prove your intellect. There are people who are naturally gifted, no matter the deep end you throw them, they'll swim gracefully. This man has a good track record of work ethic before SABC if you really followed him. Don't pay attention to the fake media of South Africa trying to taint his name.
What I love about this interview is Hlaudi removing the veil for many who were consumed by MSM... I remember being one of a few people who defended Hlaudi and all his decisions at a time when it was not fashionable to do so... He truly embodies "living for an idea that will not die"
The consistency in his answers.Answered the same way he did on P'nC...He has been through a lot in deed and still keeps his head high. Thanks to the host for getting out all this wisdom!!😊
I never doubted Hlaudi Motshweneng, even from his Lesedi FM days. But I gotta give much credit to David Mashabela for this awesome podcast. This interview gave me goosebumps and made me feel a wide range of emotions. Well done and keep up the good work sir.
The world needs more people like Hlaudi Motsoeneng. He is brave. Something that many people lack.I hope his dreams of one day becoming the president of the country become true. May God keep him and strengthen him. I also hope I get to witness that. To become a part of that era. Hlaudi makes young people like myself that also have a certain level of "craziness" to keep going.
