There has been a LOT of talk and hype surrounding the recently announced Fenix A320 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. On this channel you have seen me discuss multiple different Airbus simulators from the Flight Sim Labs in PREPAR3D, the Flight Factor 320 in X-Plane 11 and the Toliss A319/A321. How will the Fenix A320 stack up against all the competition? Only time will tell, however, *the recent MCDU/FMGS review that was published by Fenix is an extremely complex/detailed outline of some key features that I think may go overlooked by the average flight sim enthusiast*
For that reason ive put together a little breakdown using REAL WORLD experiences to "un complicate" some of these tools the Airbus is capable of.

I agree 100% sir! We can look at alpha screen shots and read about what is planned feature wise, but until we can actually dive in on our on PCs its all "cautious optimism"

This is indeed quite interesting and it'll make me *consider* the MSFS2020 platform. I wonder how e.g. ToLiss may counter this and so far I appreciate their continued development.

Yeah I'm afraid at some point there will be nothing left to counter with. I mean system depth wise. Then it'll just be a matter of which sim is better which is where I see msfs in the advantage.

I totally agree with you, 0:43 - 1:03 and i hope people do not degrade the value of this aircraft (if it turns out to be a top notch real study level a320) because of their lack of understanding.

Yeah that is partially why I wanted to make this video, I know a lot of things may seem small or not very important when you just read text, but its those tiny details that actually can make a big difference (ETP modifying for example)

Another great video of you that brings this all into perspective. I wish Fenix all the best. Unfortunately in my long career as a simmer I've seen a lot of screen shots, alpha videos and feature lists that didn't make it into working products (e.g. the "ultimate" product in X-Plane). If Fenix succeeds it will be new level. So for the time being I lean back and look how things unfold...

I agree with you 100%! As of right now we just have a few screenshots and a short video, the true test will only come once we can fire up this aircraft ourselves on our own PCs

Hey there, do you have any good add on aircraft that doesn’t require a decent pc, for reference I can run the zibo 737 at around 20-25 FPS, which is why I’m looking for a lighter load aircraft (preferably an airliner)

I've seen a number of videos on this and checked their website. Looks good - lots of detail - just hope it doesn't kill frame rates and isn't another one of these hyped-up disappointments. And it is hard to beat X-plane's camera and replay functions, so there is still that to deal with. I am looking forward to some study level airliners for MSFS 2020 though and hope this is as good as they say.... but time will tell. And oh yeah - thanks for all the real-life detail ! Really like learning this information and real-life procedures!

The FMGC depth is great and encouraging for sure, but I wonder how it is going to actually fly in this sim. FMGC isn’t much good if the plane flies like a brick, has autopilot issues and can’t reliably intercept and hold a glideslope, stuff like that that we have come to expect from MS2020.

Fenix simulation (systems) will run outside MSFS. MSFS will just display the scenery, aircraft model, weather and misc stuff. Will not be sold on the Marketplace or on Xbox. This will be the desktop version (non cockpit version) of Prosim. They say the price may be consumer friendly but I don't know.

Ever since mfs2020 came out I never even thought of trying it. It looked so bad when it came out. Now they are fixing things and boosting performance. Now the best airbus will come out? Yes, I’m gonna get mfs2020 now.

Hard to say as there still isn’t much out there yet, the info that is publicly available is very promising however! So it’s hard for me to give you a definitive answer on that. But I look forward to the progress and final product for sure!

Mind boggling stuff. Wonder if the trim wheel is modeled correctly? 320 EasyJet Pilot says the FBW NX32's 0 point should be aligned to match 30 degrees, but isn't and to my knowledge hasn't been corrected.

That is correct, 0 should reference 30.0 as that is the reference point. Depending on operator the preferred way to set trim is with the numbers on the trim wheel itself rather than DN1.2 etc so it would read 31.2% CG

I'm a kind of person who believes that something which is done well can be improved on even if by somebody else, but that name keeps on coming because of their continued support, development,improvement and dedication towards their product line, strictly being objective i'll have to say there are only limited number of developers who have shown that sort of commitment and resilience, toliss being another example.
