And 2022. I feel the same way too when I was 9 when this game came out. Whenever I see this ending, it feels like it should be an anime ending to it. I know it sounds stupid but I just wanted to say it.
2023, this ending is still awesome and make me wanna a new Maximum Impact game just to see the end of the saga with these characters that are never gonna come back in the main continuity. This ending make me feel sad and with hope at the same time, also some joy on it.
I feel so bad for Alba, lost his parents at only 3, his adopted father was killed and now his only brother disappeared and to this day is still missing 😞
I love this ending.... however i feel sorry for Alba losing Soiree. First time a saw it i got tears in my eyes. Another thing is that i don't like Duke but he looks really friendly here
Soiree's "spirit" is actually a poetic way to say Alba lost him because Soiree was kidnapped. It's like he is looking at his fails and suffering by that.
La primera vez que ví este ending me sentí triste, y mis lágrimas salieron de mis ojos sin poder impedirlo,en esos tiempos había perdido a alguien muy importante en mi vida y este ending me hizo recordar
I used to play this game with my best friend, my childhood friend, KoF was our classic in arcades and consoles, Kyo (me) vs. Iori (him). This game and ending reminds me those times and this ending has something special for me. We were friends since we had like 11 years old, now I am 34 almost 35, we split away almost 10 years ago, for my own fault (an ego-inmature choice). in that time i've lost the 2 persons who rised me up, my grandmother and my uncle, i was so broken, stuck literally in the darkness and sadness, and he tried so many times to keep me out of that, in that time I didn't see it... He really tried But I shuted my self... I pushed out of my life the rest of my childhood friends, and replace them with "virtual friends" of mmorpg games but I only miss him... And i don't have the guts to talk with him. Maybe is the best way for both of us... (I know you will never read it) CDA to LEJ Edit: sorry for my shitty english. Sadly I've never been good to show my feelings... See you & Peace out.
No. You should talk to him... It will be hard, trust me I know, but it isn’t worth just sitting there and being regretful. Apologize to him. Go to him.
This is like reading another take for this ending without actually playing the game. But yeah, I second what Adam Wood posted. It's never too late for an apology unless that person isn't alive.
please talk to him, dont bring this into your grave. trust me, i lost my friend to a car accident, part of me is never gonna forgive myself for not having the guts to talk to him and apologize for what i said. Hope the best for you dude.
I can relate so fucking much to this. Listen, it doesn't matter if you are going to be friends with him again, you need to message him, or call him, whatever you can, just to tell him how do you feel. You will not lose anything by doing that. Just do it, it'll be better for both of u.
im only 15 but i relate to this :( i also split up with my friend 3 years ago bcus i was stupid, now we completely lost contact and i can't even talk to him again bcus he deleted all his social media :(
The Maximum Impact Games has some of the most Depressing Stories in the KOF series. I so badly wish for a Continuation of this Series, but I guess Time will never Tell.
I agree :,( Poor Alba... Soiree's fate is as tragic as Rock's fate at the end of Garou MOTW We never discover what happened to them 😞 I hope we see the Meira brothers in KOF XV so new players want to know more about them...
@@meganinten0078 The Meira Brothers truly deserve a Comeback, it's not that Difficult for a Character form the 3-D KOF Era to make a Return and Put them in the Main Canon 2-D Plane KOF Game, *Shiki* who she Originated in the 3-D "SamSho 64" Games in the Hyper Neo-Geo Arcade Era, it was until "SamSho 2019" where *Shiki* finally made a Big Comeback and plays Amazingly in a 2-D Plane SamSho Game. So they should do the same thing for the Meira Brothers like how *Shiki* did in the SamSho series.
@@joseurbina3835 Shiki is a great example of transition from 3D to 2D Her first appearance in a 2D fighting game was in SvC Chaos. Gai and Silber are also good examples. They came from a full 3D fighting game, Buriki One, to KOF XI The Meira Brothers still have a chance
@@meganinten0078 Yea but there’s a huge problem. The Maximum Impact games is non canon of the kof main storyline it a spin off series so getting them to KOF XV will have to reboot them to a different storyline for MI characters would be difficult to come up with.
Always loved this ending 😢 the music is perfect and inspiring and the credits are sad and hopeful. My favorite part is Abel missing his ghost brother and iori chasing kyo.
1:09 kyo using Nokia 3310 :-) Seriously Dude you won so many Kof tournaments and you buy Nokia 3310 Look at poor Iori, can't even buy a plane ticket to stalk you
Well the new KOF comes soon. I have to admit I'd like to see a three person format with an update of this engine. Side stepping and such came real natural I feel given that SNK was kind of the first to take a real tangible fighting game and give it more than just one plain of combat and further more better alternatives to dealing with projectiles than just hoping to go over or under. I'd really like to see what eventually came of the brother, if he's dead, simply elsewhere, and now what the lady in blue would bring to the world of SNK. I'm also not quite clear if things took place in the remains of Old Southtown or if this was in Second South. I could imagine that after the damage done to Southtown that some of it was indeed left and that the brothers were in their own way keeping the last chunk of it protected the best they could. But that's conjecture on my part. KOF 14 may not have all the movement I'd hope for, but it's got a lot for what it has, I'm looking forward to the full release. It's also going to be the place I'm hoping to get back into fighting games again with a bit more drive to actually practice once more. The play, the fun, and the story verse that is the all over SNK interconnected universe really drives me to do so. Few fighters these days feel like they can really immerse you in a nostalgic continuity that you feel you've lived in and that the events past haven't been just thrown out the window in bulk.
Bangcat kof mi takes place in old southtown timeline wise so after the events of the original fatal fury series with garou being the sequel to this series
I heard rumor that either mark of the wolves or the incident where south town was blown up during the NESTS saga was retconed. I'm kinda hoping not, but can you shed some light on that as well?
Bangcat well i cant say NESTS was responsible for the fall of southtown but garou takes place in 2007 (possibly later since garou never specified on the year it's events happened) timeline wise ten years after ff real bout special. Also as we know Southtown (or old southtown) went down hill after so many gang leaders fought for it and the ones who did takeover drug it through the mud to the point the city literally fell apart and was in ruins practically which is why new southtown was made but new southtown started suffering from the same issues in which kain stepped up and started making changes through force. Now the maximum impact series takes place during the time southtown was still in a good place and was still successful but we're given hints at the fact that the battle over southtown was just beginning and Fate, alba and soiree's adopted father was taking over and cleaning up southtown with his gang while Duke on the other hand was also cleaning up southown but doing so to make his reign sure. The two were responsible for southtown's newfound prosperity for years. Fate at some point started investigating into duke and his gang out of curiosity and at the request of seth. Fate started making moves against Duke and Duke feeling threatened had him killed by Lien which we see in the intro of kof mi 1 (they gave us a look at the events prior to the games story through that quick look). Alba and Soiree who grew up in southown and saw it as their home that needed to be cleaned once and for all heard about fates death and started their gang The Sons Of Fate and joined in the new KOF Tournament after training hard and gathering their forces to take down Duke, avenge their father and save southtown (KOF MI 1). Alba successfully makes it to the finals takes down and dethrones duke (failing to kill him) and immediately begins a purge of Duke's gang and syndicate and removes all other gangs in southtown and focuses on restoring the city which ultimately succeeds making alba and soiree the new rulers of southown and putting it in a new golden and prosperous time. In between the events of kof mi 1 and 2 ash crimson eventually traveled to southown following kyo and set fire to the city to get his attention so he could steal his powers (kof another day) in which alba, soiree, and their gang completely evacuated the city saving the civilians with no casualties and them eventually being responsible for the rebuilding and restoration of the city. In KOF MI 2 the city is completely restored but due to the events ash caused alba now hates him and also developed a new found rivalry towards kyo. After that we dont know anything else really besides the fact that mi 2 was focusing on the meira brothers past. Im sure kof mi 3 would've given more detail into what happened with them and possibly another anime adaption following but now due to the mi 3 being cancelled and all im unsure but it was obviously after alba and soiree's reign ended is when southtown went under so KOF MI as a whole probably took place from the late 90's to possibly the mid to late 2000's
My favorite ,in my darkest moment, it is this ending that heals me.The direction that guides me.How I wish Soire and Alba could appear in the orthodoxy!
Almost everyone dislikes this installment, but for someone who played these titles on their first PlayStation 2, it is a very beautiful memory. 2022 a new kof and there is no sign of my favorite protagonist. I waited twelve years since the last time I played it... I think I can wait a couple more 😔...
YA Salam, what are the freaking Odds ,we just talked about this scene an hour ago and I wanted to go down memory lane and Saw your Comment...what In the Hell 😂
Iori loves stalking Kyo. I feel bad for Iori. Can't even afford a plane ticket and still wearing the same outfit. Is he like homeless and poor or something.
DAMMIT .....I'm still waiting for the game where Soiree will come back ever since he disappeared in this game I've been waiting for the game when he comes back....the prob is I'm half afraid that when he comes back he's going to be a bad guy
2:14 I wonder why this part of the staff roll looked brighter than it needed to be in the NTSC-U/C release. Same thing goes for when Luise first showed up in the intro.
I swear, everytime i see Soiree and the guitar starts i wanna cry, then i get myself together... Till the last part of the song, WHERE ARE U SOIREE? WE NEED ANSWERS
1:34 & 1:52 - Truly Touching. My question for this story - Will we ever get an actual conclusion? I mean, if we look at this ending, it sort of suggests a couple of things, but... I'd sort of want a more definitive answer. Guess we won't ever get that though.
Wishing for a remix of this song as their theme if we ever got a Maximum Impact Team in KOF XV, or any future game (if this even needs a remix because it’s pretty perfect already)
cuando soiree llega a donde esta el final boss, el final boss le hace una jugada sucia haciendo recordarle un recuerdo que todabia no se sabe cual... entonces es ahi cuando se derrumba el lugar y muere
Maybe when there is a KOF vs Tekken crossover- all these characters in the ending can be included - maybe official teams - Kula/K', Jivatma/Nagase, Iori/Kyo, Lien/Duke, Alba/Luise. And Soiree will be the final boss.
Dat K' butt :3 But yeah, the game may not have been a great 3D Fighting game from a gameplay perspective but boy were the CGI cutscenes, music, and unlockable replay value amazing for its time, that is definitely where this game succeeded in.
+IDontMakeVideos Ever i think we all are, next to garou 2 constantly being demanded; kof mi 3 is another sequel people seem to want. if you go to falcoon's twitter you'll see that every time he post something about maximun impact everyone immediately like, share and ask when a new game is coming
