That’s what’s so impactful about her death, in Zoro’s mind Kuina was an unshakebable mountain but she died by the simplest means, life is fleeting and people are fragile.
I've always assumed that Kuina actually unalived herself over the greatest swordsman thing. Especially because of what Zoro says about her "running away"
I always knew that was what oda was going for, then he realized he’s writing for teenagers aswell so he toned it down. Similar to the doffy & viola situation
I don't think so, especially after her and Zoro just made their pact. There's still the unexplained Tashigi plot point too. Not that I think Tashigi is Kuina, but I don't think that mystery is done
nah she didnt, it was established from the beginning and in the newer flashback that she did no kill herself. Storywise it wouldnt make sense either for her to khs after making the pact with zoro
I think its better if she really did die by accident. It really enforces the whole idea that no matter what you are, no matter what aspirations you may have, the most inconsequential thing can take it all away from you and that death can happen at any time. It also frees Zoro from any sort of guilt. He doesn’t have to go on a Revenge mission to avenge her death if she was killed, he doesn’t have to feel guilt that she took her life out of sadness, he doesn’t have to feel anything other than “my friend passed away and I will carry her dreams with me to the top”. She died due to something as uncontrollable as chance and Zoro just has to accept it and push forward in his life.
The hidden detail of the lightning spelling Zoro's name at the end of 1062 might just be one of my favorite things the animators have ever done right behind the infamous 'Smokin on that Big Mom Pack' impact frame
In the manga right before chapter 1063 in the SBS it shows the family tree and I think it shows that from her mother and his mother or father or somehow separated as like brother and sister. So somehow her side of the family tree. She was his sister. They don't say anything about how she died yet. I wouldn't be surprised if she had some huge connection or memory loss like sabo
I don't understand the problem with her dying from falling down the stairs. It works for the themes of Zoro's character and perfectly contextualizes his actions.
Sometimes I think that the skills and power that zoro has, not something that he gets for just simply being trained by mihawk, I doubted that mihawk willingly gives all, oda hides their training story. I'm sure zoro pushed himself hard to learn all from mihawk or even ready to sell his soul to the devil just for it. What did mihawk taught him after zoro learned that luffy's brother ace killed during the strawhats' absence, zoro understood and felt luffy's pain after the thriller's bark incident, he knew it so well that he begs mihawk to teach him. Now, he's totally 'different' zoro altough he still him, what really happen during his training with mihawk that he lost his eyes, his conquerer's haki awakened faster as luffy's, he even met his angel death after lost half of his life and yet he is still alive.. You know you can't nego your life and death with angel of death.. So what really happen, if some of you can clarify something for me about this, probably I have missed something somewhere. Zoro fascinates me eversince day 1 but luffy is still my number 1. 😅
@@keshonthetroof-_-2917 It's something that has been said thousands of times because people disliked Kuina's death, but I've seen a lot of people saying that it wasn't true, so IDK.
just like Tom-san, all Ohara ppl, Bellemere, Usopp mom, Dr. Hiriluk, Rumbar Pirates, Ace and Whitebeard, Roger, Oden and Toki and now Kaido with Big M. revolutionary army now strong af
You want more science behind her death but think about this in real life you can train and train but if you fall you can die no matter how much you train human body is weak i know is anime but in this moment was more real life like. Like the anime said " you never know whats waiting in the corner" love the reaction
In literary terms, it was subject to censorship if a work said that a certain character offed himself, because it was also taboo in Japanese society to talk about the subject. Therefore, several people and writers used the term "fell down the stairs and died" to mask the real reason for the individual's death. Edit: That's why some people think Kuina actually offed herself in frustration that she would never be a competition to Zoro when he grow up. Well... at least in her head.
@@couldx486 I am asking if ther eis any good fights or something in that episode. It's been like almost an year since I watched that episode. As far as I remember this is the episode where gear 5 luffy and kaido was near the end of their fight and Odens daughter just kept playing music for the whole episode
